Carla was Awesome!

Mrs. Carla was aboslutely amazing with us in every step of the way, even suprising my wife and I with our ceremony by getting in contact with our family members and without us knowing, organizing a beautiful ceremony thatvwe will suerly won't forget and also taking photographs for us. Great experience!

Carmen was wonderful to work with! We hired her just for officiant services but she was willing to answer any other questions we had and gave us some tips. Her communication was great. With her help, were able to come up with a short and sweet ceremony that perfectly represented my husband and me.

Carmen helped us with every detail of our wedding (including the ones we didn't even think about) and ensured we were on-track throughout the entire year, despite us only hiring her for the 6-week period! Carmen really knows her stuff!

We had Carmen Hocking as an officiant and she was super helpful! She re-worked our ceremony several times until it was just what we wanted. She also gave us lots of names of other vendors and advice about our wedding. She kept people organized on the day of the wedding. Our ceremony was beautiful and we had lots of comments about how great Carmen was!

The Wedding Was Perfect

The wedding took a lot of work, but Carmen helped us with all of it. She recommended venues, vendors, decorations, and officiated for us. On the wedding day, everything went perfectly. I thought it was quite miraculous how well it went, considering how many details had to come together.

We highly recommend Carmen Hocking!

We were recommended to her when we had reached out to another contact that fell through. Our first call was very thorough discussing our relationship and the type of ceremony we envisioned. Once we got a copy of the ceremony, we worked on a couple of rounds of revisions and Carmen was receptive to all our changes. Our wedding was at The Elms and Carmen had led ceremonies there before so that made it really easy as the staff were comfortable with her and vice versa. Carmen was very responsive and just a delight to work with. Thanks, Carmen!

Stress free completely personalized event planner!

Carmen coordinated a very special event for us on May 21, 2021. We had a party celebrating life after life threatening illness. Carmen’s guidance, timing and suggestions were perfect, from the venue, the wonderful caterer, the DJ, the bartender, the vendors that enhanced the experience, even bringing us a personalized taste testing of signature cocktail recipes. And we did it all for about $15 a person! Gourmet food and special desserts, drinks, great music, special experiences like henna, caricatures, chair massage, body art, fun party favors, all in a beautiful outdoor setting. Our guests rave about this unique fun uplifting experience. She is an amazing event coordinator.

A Beautiful Wedding is definitely a great choice for several services. We had Carmen help plan our wedding and also officiate it and people were telling us how beautiful everything was. We worked closely with Carmen from A Beautiful Wedding. Carmen is very professional in every way, dedicated to her job as a wedding planner and she was always ready to assist us when we needed to talk with her. Just perfection.

Carmen was so easy to work with. I could not have asked for a better officiant. Several guests came up to us later and said what a great job she did writing the ceremony; they said the flow, wording, and presentation were just perfect...and I agree! A M-O-G’s best ally!

Carmen helped coordinate my son’s surprise proposal last week. The bride lives in Kansas and we live in Houston. He carefully planned the surprise proposal but Covid times meant we would not be able to participate in his big day. Carmen was instrumental in helping me support my son at a distance. The proposal took place at a park. Carmen took it upon herself to drive to the park to asses it’s layout and best way to decorate. The park was 1 hour drive for her!!
She quickly understood what I wanted and was very supportive. She is responsive via phone, text and emails. She never made me feel like she was “too busy” for me or my questions. Her set up exceeded my expectations!! The flowers, linens and disposable tableware were absolutely beautiful!! The tables looked elegant and festive! Carmen was on time with her set up, and everyone who was able to attend loved how it looked. It was easy to take care of paying her via Venmo and thanks to Carmen’s taste and professionalism the event was a success!

Neutel / Rager Wedding May 2020

We had allot of challenges with my daughter’s wedding due to covid-19. Carmen was very flexible, professional and brought new ideas to the table when our venue had to change. Carmen was also the officiant and worked so well with the bride and groom to specialize their ceremony so that it truly reflected them as a couple. Last minute savior!

Thanks to a very close nit network we were referred to Carmen and she was wonderful! We had a last minute cancellation on us from another officiant and Carmen rose to the occasion drove over 1 1/2 hours for my best friends wedding and even wrote a customized ceremony that was beautiful! Carmen was amazing! We had a ceremony planned at a place that closed due to weather 4 hours before our wedding was to begin! I happened to get Carmen’s number from someone and called her, last minute She veered through the terrible weather and help does have a beautiful ceremony at our home which she wrote in less than an hour and charged a reasonable price… I am so thankful that she was able to come on such short notice and make our day perfect… Thank you Carmen

Carmen with A Beautiful Wedding has helped me plan two different events!

The first event was my 35th birthday party. She contributed a lot of really fun ideas, unique décor, great energy, food servers, & even found me a sparkly dress at an estate sale.

The second even was a client appreciation party barbeque. She helped find a Batman car & Batman impersonator to go along with the theme. She also connected me with a great DJ & awesome interior decorator who brought in table cloths, floral arrangements, & many other unique theme centered items.

Carmen clearly loves people and parties. And she uses her amazing networking skills to make sure that every event is the best she can make it be!

Carmen officiated our wedding on 9/9/17 and we were so happy with her service! Not only was the ceremony great, but she did so many other things to help out that were not part of her contracted services. She put out decorations, made lemonade, coordinated my bridal party - anything that needed to be done, she stepped up to help with. Carmen, with A Beautiful wedding, was a godsend for my wife and I. We started out with intentions to plan our own wedding, but as our date got closer and closer, the stress of it all started building. We made the decision to hire A Beautiful wedding about 6 weeks before our wedding and that was the best decision we could have made. If you would like a care free, stress free, get to dance ALL night reception hire A beautiful wedding! Thinking about my reception really stressed me out! Then I met Carmen and she was wonderful. She honestly gave me the best present anyone could give me and that was the ability to enjoy my reception stress free. She took care of EVERYTHING. Carmen is polite, very professional. I felt like I had a second mom in charge! My own family was very pleased that they were able to enjoy the night as well without having to make everything run smoothly. Carmen of A Beautiful Wedding officiated and helped plan the travel destination for my friends wedding in which I was Matron of Honor and had the privilege of doing the bridesmaids hair as well as some of the wedding party. She had the most beautiful words for the bride and groom, it made their day even more special. Carmen also help keep us all from being a chaotic mess and visited us ladies as we were getting ready and gave some kind words of encouragement. Carmen herself had been in a car wreck right before the ceremony but she managed(I don't know how) to keep a postive vibe for us all day. A Beautiful Wedding made it possible for my friends to have a great honeymoon as well. I cant thank her enough for making their day a special memory. Carmen truly is the best planner I have known and glad to call her a friend in this business.

I can't say enough nice things about Carmen. From the very first meeting we had to the ceremony itself, she was on top of it and very thorough. We didn't have to worry about a thing. She is so kind and easy to get along with. The ceremony went on without a hitch and everyone kept saying how beautiful it was and loved how smoothly it all went. She was even there to capture a candid moment with my son before the ceremony and it is by far my favorite picture of the whole wedding. I will always be referring anyone I know to Carmen. Carmen was amazing! My husband, Dennis and I LOVED working with her. We hired her to help us plan our wedding and also to officiate our wedding. Her selection of invitations were good so we ordered some as well as wedding programs she helped us with wording. Half way through planning we decided to book our honeymoon through her company and she had made some really great destination suggestions and we ended up going to Puerto Rico. Call Carmen to set up an appointment as soon as you are engaged! She will give you a lot of great information and fun ideas to make your wedding the best wedding you could ever imagine. We hired her at the first meeting. So happy we did. She knows everything wedding related! We hired her for wedding planning to begin with then also hired her to officiate our wedding. We also used her services for invitations and to plan our honeymoon. She found us a great deal on an all inclusive resort. We will definitely be going back. We were happy with all of our wedding vendors but hiring Carmen was our best decision. Definitely worth every dime.

Carmen was more than just our officiant she was our life raft when we were drounding. Marring a marine is difficult enough, but having to change your wedding date, time and location time to fit his leave schedule was a nightmare. Thankfully, Carmen was there every step of the way! She gave us two beautiful ceremonies; one as a more privet affair for just me and my husband, and the other to share with all our Friends and Family. My husband and I can't think her enough for all the time, planing, preparation, understanding, and accommodation she provided us with our ever-changing date and venue. Our wedding turned out far better than we ever imagined and in a large part that is all thanks to Carmen for her gidence and her breathtaking ceremony! I have already referred her to a few of my friends who just got engaged and are planning coming nuptials!????

Carmen Hocking came to the rescue to officiate my daughters wedding. The original officiant had to cancel one month before the ceremony my only thought went to Carmen and luckily she was able to fit us in to her schedule. We were trying to plan the wedding ourselves and found Carmen's extensive knowledge an unexpected source of help even though she wasn't planning the event for us she was very open with her advice. She also worked with the bride and groom on taylor the words to their own feelings for each other.

I couldn't have found a better company to help me with our wedding and help plan our honeymoon too. Carmen Hocking from A Beautiful Wedding was our Officiant. She was recommended to us by the venue and she was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had the added stress of hoping a destination wedding would come together perfectly, and it did with the help off Carmen. She did an awesome job keeping in contact beforehand and took time getting to know us. She not only listened to our requests and concerns but she had a lot of great advice to offer. We were living in another state from where we were going to be married and she met with us twice prior to our wedding. As soon as we met her we knew we were in good hands. It felt good knowing that our wedding would run smoothly. She helped to make our ceremony very personable adding touching words that meant so much to us. We could not have picked a better Officiant to be part of our special day. You can absolutely tell that being a wedding Officiant is not just a job for Carmen. This awesome and fantastic lady saved my wedding day. Not only did she contact me one day before my big day and tell me some very important information about my marriage license, after I made a last minute reaching out post for an officiant . She also answered her phone on the morning of my wedding, when I still had no officiant for my big day, She agreed to be apart off my ceremony and helped everyone throughout the ceremony. She is very well versed and helpful in all aspects of the wedding day. She even had several talks and communication with each and everyone of my grooms men and most of my bride maids and gave my big day the final touch it needed. Fantastic service!! Officiant was available with overnight notice, and travelled some 60 miles to the venue.

She did much more than simply officiate. She gave us a great deal of guidance, and graciously spent time with the bridesmaids and groomsmen to explain what to do when, how to walk, where to stand, and offered a great deal of insight that added an extra element of cohesion and structure. Awesome.

Officiation was lovely. She delivered an impassioned oratory, that was specifically and individually tailored, and whose timeless sentiment resonated in my heart.

Carmen and Mike were nothing short of amazing! Our wedding officiant dropped out of our wedding just a week before the ceremony. Carmen and Mike met with my daughter and I a week and a half before her wedding when another officiant just stopped communicating with them. They were great and provided a wonderful day for my daughter and her new husband. We were so lucky to find them and so wish we would have found them from the beginning. Loved working with Carmen Hocking of A Beautiful Wedding! Extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with, great ideas for things we did not even think about. We loved her creativity. She also was helpful with invitations we got from her and my wife preserved her gown with through Carmen. Carmen mentioned to us she was also a travel agent and so we asked her about places she had been and could recommend to us for our honeymoon. She booked us the trip of our dreams and came in under budget. Carmen and I met only a day and a half before my wedding and I needed an officiant! My wedding day also happened to be her birthday but she stepped in and took care of us with almost 0 notice! Carmen was great! My now-husband and I were directed to Carmen via a venue recommendation, as we are new to the area and didn't know any officiants. We were able to completely customize all of the wording of our wedding, and Carmen provided ceremony examples to help us create our dream ceremony! I had previously contracted another company to officiate our wedding. As the wedding date drew nearer, the minister kept cancelling our meetings. We had not even discussed the personalized service I had paid for and the wedding was only a couple weeks away. Carmen to the rescue! She had our date available and met with us right away. We originally met with Carmen to order invitations and that was all. We were so pleased with how professional and friendly she was. When we returned to pick up our invitations, we sat down with her and talked more in detail about our wedding and hired her also to plan the rest of our wedding and since neither Ryan or I had a home church we also hired her to Officiate our wedding. She did not disappoint. She exceeded our expectations in all areas. We still have people talking about how well our wedding was planned out and loved the wedding ceremony. Carmen Hocking was a true value to me on our wedding day. She was the cooridinator that came with our church. She went above and beyond with little details of our wedding and ceremony. She made sure that there were no problems, if there were she was on it!!

My husband Eric and I highly recommend Carmen Hocking to be your wedding planner. She was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond our expectations ten years ago. Carmen was a huge part of our lives for the ten months of wedding preparation and helped with details big and small. On the day of the wedding, she was instrumental on keeping everyone and everything in place with things many couples never have time to think about: the itinerary of the day, transportation, musician sheet music, marriage license, and even a sewing kit that was needed on a groomsman just twenty minutes before our ceremony! Carmen met with us and we talked for a long time; she was determined to get to know us as a couple and to understand what we wanted from our wedding service. She sent us sample ceremonies, suggested changes, and was prompt and detailed in her communications with us. Her ceremony was beautiful and touching, and I know that everyone thought so.

We did not engage Carmen as a wedding planner, but she was very generous with her advice, vendor recommendations, and various other odds and ends to make our day go more smoothly. She went above and beyond her duty as our officiant and it was a treat to work with her.

In retrospect, I would have paid 50% more than what Carmen charged because her service was so outstanding. I was planning a wedding in another state, and she handled everything so smoothly I never had to worry. The amount that Carmen saves you because of her deals with good vendors pays for itself outright, but you cannot put a price on the piece of mind she gives, in her calming presence, her outstanding communication skills, her patient thoughtfulness, and her wisdom, having helped trillions of nervous brides and grooms. She was born to be a wedding consultant.

I've heard so many horror stories of wedding consultants that make it all about them, and Carmen lingers in the background but steps up when she needs to, and she is calming, not anxious. Every time I hear that someone is getting married I absolutely recommend her without any hesitation. She is awesome!

Carmen was amazing. She was very professional and took a lot of time to make sure my husband and I were getting exactly what we wanted in our Save the Dates and Invitations. She went through thousands of invitation with us and made sure to show us exactly what they would look like before we ordered. The prices were SO GREAT!! We were shocked! She did a wonderful job and made the ordeal very stress free.

Carmen officiated our recent wedding and did a great job. She even added in a last second request to the ceremony without breaking a sweat. Carmen is a very organized and nice lady.

Our wedding was 3 1/2 years ago & the reason I'm only now writing this is I've had difficulties reliving negative experiences by Carmen. I'm hoping to get closure & to save anyone from going through what we went through. Space is limited so I'll do my best to give you an idea.

Our venue was outside her radius & before deciding on her we wanted to figure out the additional cost. We thought we got lucky when she decided to give us a deal. Later on when she actually started traveling to the venue we were made aware that gas mileage outside of her radius, according to the contract, was worded much differently than she intended. Even after admitting fault with this she still made sure we paid it so we never got a deal & actually paid more.

As more payments were made to her she became very condescending & we felt extremely disrespected.

The contract stated I had unlimited communication with her yet she kept trying to charge me extra for topics already included.

She was aware that our friend officiating the wedding wasn't experienced & agreed to coordinate the rehearsal & ceremony. The day of the rehearsal she suddenly was unaware of this & said it wasn't her job so instead it became a cluster. I ended up having to do the best I could with the little time we had left. The day of the wedding the ceremony was very unorganized & our grandparents ended up sitting down too soon so we didn't get them in the video.

Those were only some of the things that happened. She also affected us during our honeymoon & for about six months after the wedding through our social media & our parent's.

I wish I stood up to her better & more often. Ideally we would have cut ties & moved on. I wasn't strong enough at the time to stick up for us. I also got nervous about the money we had already paid to her. When we finally confronted her about every instance she never responded & we haven't heard from her since. Hindsight is 20/20, but we wish we never would have gone with her.
