I can't begin to explain how happy I am with A Beat Away Entertainment! We hired Joe for our son's high school graduation party. We had a huge lit tent in our backyard and we had a parquet dance floor--that dance floor may need to be repaired because from the moment Joe & Steven started playing music, our guests were up dancing all night long! I gave Joe a list of songs to play and asked him to play those, but to also "gauge the crowd" and play music that he thought would get them going. That's exactly what he did. Not only that, when I walked up to Joe and wrote down a song that I wanted to hear next, he was sure to promptly play it next. We originally hired him to play from 5 to 10pm....but when 10pm came and he said that the song coming up next was the last song, our guests were completely disappointed....so I asked Joe & Steven if I could hire them for an additional hour....and they accommodated my last minute request. The crowd was so happy. I wish I could post a video because these pictures don't do the party justice. I got 40,000 steps on my Fitbit from dancing the night away! When my daughter graduates in three years, I will be sure to call Joe & Steven. They say that food and music can either make or break your party. Joe & Steven completely MADE our party. A Fun & Memorable Experience!!

If you're looking for professionalism, fun, and an instinct and eye for how your day should flow with music, announcements, speeches, and more, I highly recommend Joe! He interpreted our vision for the music and the day perfectly and really did a fantastic job with the dance floor. It was absolutely seamless! Highly recommend!!

DJ Joe Pet from A Beat Away Entertainment was an incredible part of our wedding day. From the very beginning, he made the entire event run smoothly by keeping us on track and handling every transition with confidence and professionalism. The music was perfectly curated for each moment, and once the dancing started, the floor stayed packed all night.

The sound quality was excellent, and we received countless compliments from our guests about how fun, engaging, and skilled Joe was. His presence and energy truly took our reception to the next level and played a huge role in making the day unforgettable.

Thank you to Joe! He was brilliant the entire time and his music choice shaped the vibe throughout the wedding. Great DJ!!!

We had an amazing experience with Joe. He was professional, knew how to keep the crowd dancing, and respected all of our limits. I highly recommend just letting him do his thing - we had guests of all ages and everyone was happy with the choices. I LOVE to dance so the music was the most important to me and Joe did not disappoint.

Thank you to DJ Joe Pet for an amazing DJ for our wedding. He and his team worked to set up multiple sound systems in the garden ceremony, museum for cocktail hour and the reception hall at Heritage Museums and Gardens. Great music and interactive for dance floor. The dinner music was great and not too loud, we got multiple compliments on the dancing and dinner music. Great to work with. Booked Joe via CapeTunes.

Best of both worlds experience!

I wanted to take a moment to recommend Joe Pet/A Beat Away Entertainment… it’s not too often you can find an excellent, reputable musician, who also is a DJ. Joe knows music and he knows how to work a crowd. He seamlessly played the best music for our guests keeping them dancing all night! Coincidentally, I have had many opportunities working with him on a business level as an event manager at Danversport. His ability to balance professionalism with a personal touch truly sets him apart. We couldn’t recommend him more highly. Joe is a perfect choice for any event whether it be a shower, wedding or birthday party! PS: ask him to bring his drums!!! Amazing. It’s no wonder he’s played with some of the best bands we know… specifically the Joe Perry Project! Joe knows how to work a crowd no doubt!

We hired DJ Joe and his amazing videography team for our wedding in August, and we couldn’t have been happier! From the start, they were incredibly professional, accommodating, and brought so much energy to our celebration. An amazing experience we will never forget.

My wife and I spent a long time looking for different forms of singers and DJs. It was a long and difficult process dealing with so many different personalities. We finally came across Joe and it was an instant perfect fit. Joe has a great personality and knowledge of different music genres. Even our family and friends remarked we picked the right one. A Real Pro

Joe had an excellent selection of music, extremely well tailored to a diverse crowd, and worked the "must plays" I gave him seemlessly into his sets. We had a crowd from 3 years old to 80 years old and there was something for everyone. He was very sensitive to the vibe of the event throughout the evening and constantly came up with the best next song, getting and keeping the crowd dancing. Easy to work with, very flexible, professional presentation. We'll use him again!

Joe Pet was our DJ at our wedding, My husband Bill and I have been to a few of our friend's weddings in the past, and I couldn’t believe what a huge difference Joe was compared to the DJs we encountered at the other weddings we attended. Joe was able to provide a DJ and photographer last minute who were both great
I was worried that the costs would be immense with such short notice but Joe was incredibly fair in pricing and the DJ and photographer both made my wedding easy so I could just enjoy the day

Personal Review of the services provided by A Beat Away Entertainment.

My name is Russ Sbrizza, My wife Wendy and I were married on September 11, 2022. This was an absolutely wonderful day for Wendy and I giving ourselves freely before God his church and our welcomed guests. The weather was absolutely wonderful, the spirits were high, and all came to celebrate. A few things made our celebration so very special the first is that after postponing our wedding a full year due to Covid our day finally arrived. Now with many weddings / Celebrations not everything goes as planned, as was the case here. After pictures were taken at the church wen & I arrived to the wedding reception only to learn that unforeseen traffic due to an event in the area prompted a delay in our caterer arriving on time to serve our guests, the appetizer portion of the menu had been served but the meal portion was delayed by more than two hours. Well, it was Joe Pet who informed me of the mis hap but with Joe’s professionalism and experience as a seasoned master of Ceremonies he kept the days ceremonial events on track. He continued to entertain our guests with the musical selections consistent with our wedding theme as he offered suggestions on how we could remain on track regarding our time frame to include the entrance of the wedding Party, special dances, cutting of the cake, Etc. Joes calming demeanor and time managing skills basically saved the day! By realigning the timeline for the day’s events. The comments from our guests were overwhelming and everyone had a great time. The reception was a great success, thank you Joe. Oh, the food did arrive and it was delicious. The music was great the dance floor was packed from first dance to last. Usually there is a guest or two who may have an issue with volume, but I heard no complaints on anything related to the music. Joe has a great knack for working the room as well he was very accommodating to our guests by taking requests and making everyone feel special and a part of the event. I would recommend a Beat Away Entertainment for any private or corporate event with our reservation. Professional & reliable service at a reasonable price. Thanks again Joe!

Fantastic DJ

There were so many options when it came to choosing a DJ. Fortunately we chose the right one! The thing we overlooked was the vast knowledge Joe had about music in general from being a musician for years. We knew what are friends wanted to hear but didn’t take into consideration the vast age differences and styles of music our guests would like. That’s where Joe stood out he was able to mix songs together that sometimes had a 40 year span between them, it seemed like everyone on the dance floor knew those songs young and old getting as many people at our reception on the dance floor most of the night. We can’t thank him enough for the wonderful time we had. if you’re looking for a Great DJ that can keep your guests on the dance floor all night, don’t hesitate to give him a call!

Orlando was a hit with the old and young. He went beyond his call of duty. And he was only called in when the original DJ had to cancel for emergency surgery with less than 2 weeks to go. I put my faith in the professionalism of this company and they shined through better than I expected.

I've been to a lot of friend’s weddings over the last year and I have to say Joe Pet and his company A Beat Away Entertainment made all the weddings I attended seem boring. My friend Jen even said she wish she knew about Joe's company before booking her DJ. The communication was flawless he fulfilled every request my husband and I made. The music he chose fit out play list perfectly it's, like he read our minds he seemed to know exactly what to play to blend perfectly with our musical choices. The lighting was awesome and his Photobooth which lit up caught everyone's attention and our pictures were wonderful I'm so glad we had Joe supply us with all the services we used he helped make our whole day worry free. I would highly recommend Joe and his crew for any couple looking for the best in wedding entertainment.

Working with A Beat Away Entertainment was easy and worry free. They provided online forms to make music selections and if they didn't have the song or version of the song, they will work with you. DJ Joe was awesome. I got so many compliments from my guests about the DJ and music. He kept everyone dancing! I would highly recommend this DJ service! I also used the photography service and the photographer was very professional and made us fell very comfortable. It was nice not having to stress about hiring a DJ and Photographer. Everyone had an awesome time!

Joe Pet and his colleague Mike did a terrific job at our wedding in Rhode Island. Joe has a great sense of musical styles, got everyone dancing, and was very professional and accommodating throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great DJ and lighting at a fair price. By the way, Joe's also a very talented drummer, and used to tour with Joe Perry.

My husband and I are not very hip when it comes to music. Joe and Peter were great at using the few songs we put on our list to create a perfect wedding playlist. They reached out (multiple times) because we had not communicated our plan for the day and playlist and they wanted to make sure that they had enough planning time before our big day.

The online forms for adding music, stating our likes and dislikes and for planning our party were very user friendly and helped us figure out exactly what we were doing and what we wanted to happen during our party.

Peter was a fantastic MC and really helped keep our party flowing and made sure that everything that we wanted to happen was able to happen.

Joe and Peter were extremely accommodating and we are so glad that we hired them.

A Beat Away Entertainment was phenomenal! From the planning process to my wedding day they were professional, patient, informative, and friendly. They answered all of my questions and accommodated all of my requests. There is nothing negative I can say about this company. Joe (the DJ) and Fred (the MC) were so entertaining and knew exactly how to get the party started during the reception. After our first dance and dinner, there was never a point where the dance floor wasn't full. We got countless positive comments from our guests about the entertainment. Joe was great! He catered to our need from the start! Came up with a package for us! The wedding was a hit and our wedding was probably the most universal wedding (Albania-Bolivia - Greece - Italian etc) people from everywhere. He did a great job with the stage lighting and the music was a phenomen!!! You couldn't even find one guest that wasn't dancing! Great timing with the music from the moment that we were presented till the cake was cut! I had 150 guest hugging me and telling me "great wedding- great music- beautiful party" . He made our night!! Joe is wonderful! He is a joy to work with, professional, fun, and very knowledgeable about all types of music. We were totally comfortable with Joe and secure in the knowledge that he would do a great job for us from the moment we met him. He gave us access to an amazing list of songs to choose from and instinctively knew what to play and when to play it during the evening. Joe and his team were great from inception to finish. He was very friendly and accommodating and did a good job with the music on the night of the ceremony. We had a blizzard starting the night of the wedding but everything went off without a hitch.

We were certainly happy with the services ABeatAway provided - the online site is great to determine music choices and it was easy working with Joe on music for the dances and everything else. Thanks a lot!

Music was spot on & flawless when transitioning from the ceremony, to cocktail hour & then the reception.

A Beat Away was very flexible & was able to adapt to all of our requests, specifically, last minute ones such as finding us a photo booth on a very short notice.

Our wedding was on a beach & while most vendors would shy away, A Beat Away welcomed the idea with enthusiasm.

We're very pleased & would use A Beat Away again.

Joe did an amazing job. The uplighting made our old mansion venue look like a fairytale. The music selection was fantastic. Our guests were dancing even before dinner and danced the night away. Everyone commented on what a great time they had and many said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Joe made our wedding night a wonderful celebration.

Joe was simply Great! We even changed our introduction song 5 minutes before we were to start and Joe said no problem flicked a couple of switches and said you are all set. Everyone was there to the end and everyone was on the dance floor so it was perfect!

Joe was the most professional, organized and fantastic DJ ever for our wedding!! We still receive compliments from guests of all ages (kids through our grandparents) that all loved him and remember being on the dance floor ALL night dancing to hits that everyone could dance to! My husband and I often think back on our big day and remember a moment when we stepped back and realized that the ENTIRE wedding (of 180 guests) were out on the dance floor! I first became aware of Joe (Pet) Petruzzelli and his outstanding services while attending a friend's wedding over a year ago. My fiance and I were in awe of the event. our friend introduced us to Joe; After speaking w/ him, we knew we would be in capable hands.
Several months later, without hesitation we contacted Joe and informed him we would like to utilize his services for our wedding. Once we had met for our first consultation, we were amazed that he recalled who we were, as we had been introduced 7 months prior. I informed him I wanted the same photographer, music and uplighting as my friend had used. He took it a step further and worked with us to customize the services around our exact specifications. We weren't sure what we wanted, but he knew what questions to ask, set up frequent meeting and phone calls to ensure that all arrangements he fine tuned for us met our expectations.
When all was said and done, not only did he meet our expectations on our wedding day, he exceeded them. Words cannot describe the level of customer service, Joe's dedication to customer satisfaction, his professionalism and ultimately, his skill at engaging the guests and ensuring everybody had a fantastic time. The uplighting which was so important to me, the music, the photography, the videography, all resulted in sheer perfection.
Joe even followed up with us after the event. He is truly a class act, in all aspects, from start to finish.
In closing, Joe's dedication to his clients as well as his attention to detail, the caliber of services he offers, his talent in entertaining as a DJ, both musically as well as his engaging personality which kept the guests on the dance floor all night long. Now my friends ask me for his contact information as they plan their special day. To me, there is no other option other than A Beat Away.

There really aren't even enough words to describe Joe Pet. First of all, as a person, he is truly unique in this industry. He is flexible, patient, kind, and caring, not to mention hilarious. He made us feel so comfortable, we could ask him anything and our requests were always honored. And really, we didn't need to ask for much, because he is so professional and has so much experience he knows just what to do. He told us when we initially interviewed him that his ultimate goal, always, is to provide the best service possible, that "it's all in his hands" and that we should relax, not worry, breathe and enjoy our day and that he will take care of the rest. And that he did. He more than surpassed our expectations. Everybody knows that a party is only as good as the guests make it, and Joe made sure that everybody was engaged, and dancing the night away. There wasn't a dull moment. And because of his vast knowledge of music coupled with his professional musical background, he knows just when to play the "right" song. His uncanny intuition of what a crowd needs is amazing. He is also so personal, he takes the time to get involved with the guests and talk to them. His jokes are always timely, it's extraordinary. Everybody is drawn to him, it's sort of crazy. He truly made our wedding so memorable, for sure one for the books! Everything about him is professional, he takes immense pride in his work. And he's not so bad on the eyes either! We would highly recommend him to anybody searching for the perfect DJ!

What can we say about Joe? A class act from start to finish! When I mean "start" I mean from our initial visit in his office. He walked us through everything. He told us a little bit about himself and then turned it over to a true customer experience. He wanted to know our likes, our dislikes, our maybes he wanted to know us.He wanted our Wedding Day to be the best experience.He was completely responsive to our financial budget and gave us a great deal. He was always responsive. He has a pretty cool client page that allowed us to pick some songs and lay out the whole wedding day. The week of the wedding me had a phone call that Joe prepared and we went over start to finish. Over the next few days we continued to reach out with changes to our plans, and in a moments time - Joe would always respond "got it /done". This put us at ease. So many other things to worry about for this big day and we knew from day one that the Entertainment was not going to be an issue. We knew our legacy would be on the entertainment. People will love the wedding or hate the wedding based on the man in charge of that dance floor. The floor shined thanks to Joe! As we got closer, our big concern was the weather as we were going to be outside for the ceremony and Joe was going the music for that as well. No worries, it poured but Joe worked with us to still provide excellent sound and the show went on with no issues. After our photos, Joe came in to check in on us and once again go over the introductions, first dance etc. He gave us a feel for how our guest were doing during cocktail hour and really energized us and got us pumped up to hit the reception! The reception - unreal! People are still talking about it and asking who our DJ was? Without hesitation - if you want the Best then don't even think about the rest. joe was an amazing dj! he got all of my friends and family out on the dance floor. he new just what to say to get all my guest excited and want to get up and dance. I still have people coming up to me saying how much fun they had and how good the dj was . Joe was a great MC and knew how to read the crowd. He kept everyone dancing all night long and made sure our wedding timeline ran smoothly. I've since been to another friend's wedding where he was also the DJ and he again did a great job. The dance floor was packed all night long.

Joe did an excellent job in all aspects. He provided appropriate music for the pre and post ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. He fulfilled all music requests and did an excellent job mixing all types of music from dancing from oldies to modern to a hora.

Joe has an extensive list of music choices ad was able to get other music. We gave him directions on the types and artists we wanted and did not want and Joe did a great job with those as well.

THEY DO NOT COME ANY BETTER THAN JOE PET – PLEASE READ OUR EXPERIENCE WITH JOE!

When the DJ recommendation our venue suggested fell through, we were fortunate to land upon A Beat Away Entertainment website. Without even speaking to Joe, his website provided us with the answers to many of our questions and more importantly, an opportunity to see him face-to-face with a video clip. The video portrayed a classy, true professional and his website clearly showed us that Joe had been in the music industry his whole life. We were instantly at ease and trusting that Joe was the DJ for us - we couldn’t call him fast enough.

Doing business with Joe is so easy! Joe’s personality is outstanding and for everything we wanted to do a little different it didn’t ruffle him in the least i.e. Instead of one introduction song for the wedding party, each couple had their own song and each song was queued perfectly. We had what we thought would be a challenge for any DJ. Clearly not a problem for Joe - our dance floor was full and rocking!! Joe played all the songs we requested and more. Our friends absolutely loved Joe as he took the time to speak with many of them which was wonderful support for a bride. Only the BEST could pull off an amazing party under these conditions!

We hired DJ Joe Pet himself for our wedding this past weekend.

This was one of the BEST decisions we made in our planning process.

Joe was on time, professional, dressed appropriately and did a fabulous job with the music for our ceremony, reception, entrance, and other formality announcements. Many of our guests raved about his DJ performance. The energy of the reception was consistantly in perfect balance as was the volume. Never too low or too loud.

I would very highly recommend Joe Pet and his team to DJ your event! He also has a full list of trusted colleagues to handle your photography, videopgraphy and a whole bunch of other fantastic add-ons like uplighting. His website is impressive and the planning form was EXTREMELY helpful!

Joe was the D.J. at our wedding last July. I can not begin to tell you how pleased we and our guests were at his performance. He had a wide selection of music for all ages and preferences. He made sure that all the songs we chose were played. The pictures taken from his photographer were amazing and the up-lights looked incredible , I would highly recommend any couple looking for these services to contact Joe, he is awesome. Two of my friends are already going to book him for their wedding.

Joe was extremely professional during this whole process that lead up to the wedding. The actual wedding he was prompt, got all our wedding party names correct - and some names I couldn't even pronounce. He had the entire wedding up dancing and having a great time all night. Even my grandmother was dancing up a storm that night.

I would highly recommend Joe for any bride who is looking for a professional who they can trust to make their perfect day - absolutely perfect!

Joe ia amazing and I would refer him to anyone! As a fellow wedding vendor I have seen the best of the best. However I only wanted the best of that group. And I was lucky enough to have him at my wedding! He was on time (of course) and amazing (of course).

Joe was absolutely amazing and a true professional. All of our guests has been telling us that they had an incredible time at our wedding and loved the music. I wanted to do a special father daughter dance where we started with a slow song and then broke out into a medley of other songs. Joe put that all together for us and my father and I were able to pull off this surprise dance. It was great and definitely caught everyone off guard. We loved being able to pick songs that we really wanted to play and ones that were definite do not play songs. We never had to worry about people not having a good time or dancing. My husband and I could not have been happier with the service we received.

My Wife and I selected A Beat Away Entertainment to be the DJ at our wedding. We had a small wedding of around 80 people and we wanted someone who would be able to judge the crowd and get everyone up and dancing throughout the night.. Joe P from A Beat Away Entertainment did that with a wonderful holiday playlist for the cocktail hour and then seeing the type of crowd we had selected songs that would make everyone get up and dance. I highly recommend A Beat Away Entertainment if you are looking for wedding entertainment, with little direction from us as specific music to play Joe P felt out the crowd and made sure all of our wedding guest had a great time. All the guest at the wedding could not stop talking about how much they had and the wonderful music selection.

A musical back round that most do not have. Joe is classy and professional and will only give you the best. His online event planner is fabulous, making wedding planning that much easier. If you do not know what your doing he definitely does, making suggestions along the way. You can't go wrong!

Joe Pet was awesome. My wife and I were so pleased with the job he did as our DJ at our wedding in front of all our close family and friends. DJ Joe Pet was there right on time and was setup and ready to go for the big day. He made everything so easy and simple so that I didn't have to worry about anything on the wedding day. His lights and music system sounded great and it sure made the entire event a blast for everyone who attended.

Joe Pet really made our wedding rock! My husband and I had a blast, and we got SO many compliments on what a great DJ we had. Joe did a great job with our bridal party introductions. We had him mix up some music for our first dance, and it all sounded great. Everybody loved the music he played, you can see in our pictures how much fun everybody was having. The dance floor was packed all night! We also used the room uplighting, party lights, and name in spotlight. They all looked phenomenal. Those really helped set the mood, tone, and look of the reception hall. We honestly could not have been happier with Joe's services and how our wedding went. Joe really was a huge part in making our dream wedding a reality!

We called many DJ's, but after our first conversation, we knew you were the DJ for us. You have it all together, from playing the right music during our vows, to the up lights, which looked amazing. You even put your special touch, announcing us in for our first dance while everyone was up on their feet moving to the rhythm.
Picking the music was so easy having online access to your entire data base. You knew just what to play to keep a variety of different age groups & tastes in music dancing throughout the evening our guests are still talking about the great time they all had. The dance floor was never empty. Even my Aunts and Uncles were up dancing which is a small feat in its self.
Watching the video you put together was priceless and it was so nice to see all of what we missed during our special day. I will cherish it forever.
Thank you so much for being a part of our special day. Joe, YOUR THE BEST. I would highly recommend you for the great Job you did.

I found Joe to be a very professional and fun DJ. I loved the fact that he was able to DJ at my Chinese-American wedding, which is a tad more complicated than the normal American wedding, as there were certain Chinese traditions that had to be added into the mix of wedding activities. But Joe, like the professional DJ he was, knew what questions to ask and knew how to go with the flow. He did a great job at keeping a fun and positive vibe going during my wedding, and I had friends comment that they loved the various music he played throughout the night. He knew how to read the crowd and get a feel for when to play what type of music.
If you are planning to have a wedding and not sure where to find a DJ, look no further! Joe is your man! I got a great vibe from just talking with him during our very first conversation. He asked lots of questions, and put many of my worries at ease as I knew that he had many years of experience as a DJ and has come across many types and styles of weddings. Joe's positive and calming personality also helped me at times when I got into panicking bridezilla mode :) I always felt better after talking with him, he is so friendly, and it's not just business with him, he actually cares that your wedding goes smoothly! I would seriously recommend that you consider Joe as a DJ for your wedding, I had a great time dancing the night away!

Joe was a great DJ! He answered any questions we had sometimes before we even asked them. He helped us prepare for our big day and was wonderful at our reception. I have three words to Say about dj Joe pet .awesome awesome awesome!!!!!h HIs sense of timing with this music selection couldn"t of been any better. We meet Joe at a friend's wedding over summer really loved his work. So we asked him to DJ at our wedding, he was really professional and trustworthy throughout the whole process. All of our friends and family members loved the music at our Asian style wedding. His music was just right for every situation during the wedding.
