Amazing staff and dresses

I worked with Sophia. She was absolutely amazing! Super high energy, excited and made the experience the best! She was very attentive, listened and understood what I needed without me even saying it. She was so much fun to be around and made the experience that much better. I found the dress and i could be more excited! Everyone there was so friendly and very helpful. Thanks Sophia!! I tried on a bunch of dresses and there seriously wasn’t a single one that I hated.

Kiera is an exceptional stylist!

The boutique, the stylists, the atmosphere... everything-AMAZING!! I worked with Kiera and I can't say enough about her! She made dress shopping enjoyable and helped me find the dress I was hoping for! I tried on a couple different Alyssa Kristin gowns and though I loved them all I was struggling with the perfect straps because of comfort for my wedding day. She informed me that this particular designer does have straps that would provide me the comfort I wanted and still the same dress I was drooling over :) Anyway... I loved everything about working with Kiera and A and Bé, I would recommend all soon to be brides to check it out!

The absolute BEST!

I traveled over 8 hours to try on wedding dresses at a&be and I am so happy I did. Prior to my appointment there was a specific Hayley Paige dress that I wanted to try on - however, a&be didn't carry it in their shop. Miracle worker Molly was able to get the dress loaned in just so that I could try it on at my appointment. Even though that dress didn't end up being "the one," Molly helped me find THE DRESS - she found me a dress that had me so emotional and in tears. I could not be happier with my experience there and I can't wait to wear my dress on my wedding day!

Amazing experience!!

I had an idea of what I wanted before coming to the shop but was willing to try any suggestions. Claire made it such an easy and amazing experience in finding the perfect dress for my big day! She was really easy to talk to and made it stress free. This was the first place I went and found my dream wedding dress! Highly recommend them when it comes to find that perfect dress.

Awesome experience

A & be was my 3rd dress appointment. Going into their appointment I thought I had found the dress but as soon as I got there I saw so many amazing dresses and my stylist Claire was great at knowing what I was looking for. Claire was so kind and patient while she helped me narrow down to my dress #1 and #2.

Dream dress with perfect experience!

The entire process of finding my dress at a&be bridal was an absolute dream! Every single staff member had a smile on their face and they were all so welcoming and willing to assist with taking pictures of my group after I found the dress- not to mention the complimentary champagne they had for us to celebrate! Everyone was so knowledgeable, professional, and so personable. My stylist was Molly F. and she was so fun to work with! She was extremely patient, and listened to every detail and preference I had when it came to trying on dresses from various designers. She did a fantastic job picking out dresses that were a little different as far as neck line that helped me consider different options and ultimately confirm my decision. She knew her stuff to say the least! She also stayed within my budget and was very mindful to only have me try on dress that were within the price range I gave her. You could tell she is passionate about her job and truly loves helping everyone who comes in find their dream dress. I would recommend a&be to any bride- they are legit THE BEST!

Can't speak highly enough about Abigail McNamara!

a&be was my first and last stop when dress shopping!

The inside of the shop is lovely - a perfect backdrop for trying on dresses and imaging what you want to be wearing in "that moment".

If you want a kind, funny and supportive stylist - ask for Abigail McNamara! She is wonderful. She selected the winning dress(!!) but also helped me explore a variety of styles and narrow down what I truly felt best in!

I can't wait to go back and pick up my dress!

The perfect way to start wedding planning... LOVE!

LOVE this boutique and team - I had the pleasure of working with Abigail and she could not have found me a more perfect dress. We were the last ones in the store for the evening and even though I'm sure the team was ready to get out of there, they never rushed us, even when I tried on the same two dresses for the 10th time because I couldn't make a decision. They even made sure to take photos of us in their beautiful store before we left. Thank you a&be MN - i'm excited to come back for my fittings!

Stunning Dresses and Great Specialists!

Hands down, you need to go to A&Bé bridal! A&Bé was the very first bridal shop that i went too. My wedding dress specialist picked out 6-7 different dresses for me to try on because I was game for any style besides a whole lot of poof. The dress that I bought was the very first dress I tried on. After every dress I tried on, I would consistently go into the dressing room and nonchalantly touch the dress (the very first one) and while trying on a different dress I would be staring at the first dress out of the corner of my eye. I would come out and face the women I went with and then face myself in the mirror. When I came out in the dress I loved I would stand taller and face myself first and then face the other women and had a huge smile on my face. My specialist already knew what dress I loved but once she told me every little thing I did that she noticed made me love this bridal shop so much more! She paid such great attention to the non verbal cues that I knew my wedding dress had to come from A&Bé!

Go to a & bé - AMAZING

Go to a & bé! I said yes to my dress and had such an amazing experience at a & bé. We started with an overall feel of what I was looking for, looked through Pinterest photos, and discussed price range (very important since I have experienced some shops that do not ask, and put you in dresses that are well above your price range).

The ladies educated me on designers as we walked around the shop, and called out if I liked a dress out of my price range so I could make the final decision to try it on. The girls pulled some of the dresses I was looking for, and I was open to trying on dresses that were a little different as well. They used my feedback of each dress I tried on to decide what I should try on next.

The dress I loved they did not have in white or ivory, but were able to pull up photos online for me of what the dress would look like in those colors so I would feel comfortable with my final purchase.

I ended up leaving to think it over, but could not stay away from the dress I picked! I came back the following day and they kept the store open for me, poured champagne, and tried on my dress one more time! Once I purchased, everything was very straight forward and understandable. The ladies were such a joy to work with and made the experience stress-free!

Best dress shopping experience!

I went to 3 different bridal shops for my wedding dress and so glad I saved a&bé for last. It was by far the best experience I had overall. The boutique itself has such a unique and fun vibe which is complimented by their amazing staff. I was helped by Kylie, who was amazing! She took time to learn more about me, my style, and our vision for our day. Celebrating with a champagne toast was the perfect way to say yes to the dress and become an offical #aandbabe! Highly recommend making this a stop on your search for the perfect dress.

Super positive and stress-free experience.

The women at A&Be were so accommodating. Even though I had a more limited budget and needed a dress fast (my wedding is in 4 months), I still saw several gorgeous dress options. I fell in love with the first dress I tried on, which happened to be a sample dress that had just gone on sale! It was $2,000 off the most beautiful dress made by a local designer. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and Abigail was the perfect stylist.

LOVE best experience I had while planning!

A lot of reviews can come off fake, but I’m a real human! I loved this place! Lauren was my stylist from picking out my dress, to just last weekend when I picked it up to style me with a veil + accessories!
They take their time, and it’s a fun boho, non-traditional atmosphere that made me comfortable.
Plus they kept in contact from my first appointment to after I took my dress home! Our wedding is in June but can’t wait to share photos with them!

I loved everything about a&be and my bridal dress shopping experience! My experience and the service exceeded my expectations and was far better than any of the other bridal shops in the Twin Cities I went to. I got to work with Emily and she absolutely rocked! A&be was the first bridal shop I visited, and I had a really lovely experience. The communication with them before, during and after my visit was excellent. After I scheduled my appointment they emailed me with a list of dresses they had in my price range to make sure they'd have something I liked; none of the other bridal shops I scheduled with did that. It was really nice to figure out what I want to try on beforehand.

Each dressing room has its own sitting area so it feels like a really personal experience. I worked with Olivia and she was great at figuring out what I liked and bringing dresses that fit my taste. She was very knowledgeable, helpful, and accommodating.

I went to another bridal shop after a&be and it was nowhere near as nice. A&be had a much better range of dresses in my price range as well. I ended up cancelling all of my other appointments and went back to a&be and bought the very first dress I tried on.

Overall I had a fantastic experience and I'm glad it was the first bridal shop I went to.

I first experienced a&be bridal at the Miami location and then ended up purchasing my dress through the Minneapolis location because my ceremony will be in Minnesota. Emily answered all of our questions, guided us through the process of ordering the dress, and shared the enthusiasm with us. My experience at a&be was like no other. They have a stunning selection of dresses, but the five stars is for the service. I was being helped by Emily Hanson, who was absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough positive things about her. She was very helpful and knew her stuff. She knew exactly what I was looking for and what would flatter my body best. I am so so glad I went to a&be to find my dress! Emily is absolutely wonderful. She truly listens to what you want and makes sure you follow your heart. I bought my dress with Emily in Minneapolis and had a great time! It was my first appointment, so I wasn't necessarily expecting to buy, but she knew what I wanted better than I did! I ended up going with a custom dress from Truvelle, and Emily has been super quick and helpful answering my follow-up questions. She also set up an appointment for me in the Seattle store when I couldn't decide about one of the questions from the designer - so I could quickly try the dresses on again. I had a very good experience in both the Minneapolis and Seattle stores!

I had a FANTASTIC experience here at A&be! I highly recommend Emily as she was an A++++ bridal associate! I can’t rave enough about Emily as I only have limited characters on this review! So, of course, I found my dream dress that day which happened to be the first dress Emily pulled for me after listening to my likes/dislikes (I had a long list of dislikes). Emily helped clip me in, answered all my questions and she let me touch my dream dress as much as I wanted! I seriously couldn’t stop touching it and Emily let me be “me!” If I could turn back time, I would’ve started searching at A&be before any other bridal shop and saved myself two trips to Chicago, and having a terrible bridal fitting experience elsewhere that left me and my bridal party in tears and shamed afterwards. I’m so happy I came to A&be!!!!! Thank you Emily for helping me in my bridal dress journey. I can’t wait to post/tag you my wedding photos. So hurry, Go here, you won’t be disappointed.

Emily is amazing!! So much fun and so sweet. Everyone in my party loved her! We went to four different shops and none compared!! She gave great advice when needed and really understood what I wanted. At no point did I ever feel like she said something just to say it or make a sale. She was so genuine! Also, not pushy AT ALL! The entire appointment was so comfortable and relaxed. I love a&be! The space is huge and GORGEOUS. I went on a Saturday, which is their busiest day. The space is large enough, where you almost never see any other brides, and you have your own private area for you and your friends/family. My consultant, Kate, was super helpful as well. I tried a few other bridal shops, and nothing compares to a&be. At the other shops, I never found a dress I was totally in love with, and I was worried I wouldn't find one that gave me that amazing feeling (I definitely found some I liked at other places, but wasn't totally sold). But when I started trying on a&be's dresses, I knew I would find one there. Their dresses are totally my style. I highly recommend coming here!

I came to a&be bridal on a Friday morning with my mother and sister-in-law. I wasn't super hopeful that I'd be able to find a dress that day and I felt anxious about going to a bridal salon again. I had a not-so-great experience the first time I tried on dresses at another store where I was rushed by the consultants, not treated super kindly, and had only sample size 2 dresses (not my size) to try on. A&be from the moment we walked in was a completely different experience; beautiful dresses, light and airy, plus a neat wall photograph with a bride in a leather jacket with the words FEMINIST across the back.
The space is beautiful with many different types of dresses and a wide range of prices (I had plenty to try on and my budget was $1000). We were the only customers for most of our visit and that paired with our amazing consultant Kristin, made the whole experience really fun and low-stress. As someone who is not super traditional it was great to have a variety of unique dresses to choose from, with some classic features that were all in a more “average” size. I tried on a lot of different dresses that Kristin picked and I felt she really listened to what pieces I liked and didn’t care for. She was the perfect balance of helpful and knowledgeable, while still stepping back and letting the appointment really be about me and my family. Kristin actually convinced me to try on the dress I ended up purchasing. I didn’t feel pressured, ignored, rushed, or any other negative feelings – just joyful, beautiful, and appreciated. I bought a Sarah Seven dress, a designer I never thought I could afford but because it was a floor sample it was more than 50% off. Kristin gave us champagne to celebrate! I would HIGHLY recommend a&be bridal. I’m so glad I was able to support a local small-business, stay in my budget, buy a handmade USA-made gown, and find the dress of my dreams all in 1.5 hours!

Most Beautiful Dresses and Best Stylists in the Twin Cities

a&be was the first place where I tried to find my gown. When I arrived, Erin was very interested in know me very well and understand where my wedding will take place and how the environment will look like. After going to other shops I realized that there is no comparison to a&be. Erin was extremely helpful and patient with me until my second appointment. She acted like a friend would do. In my second appointment I met Olivia, who also was very kind and helped me to go through all the dress selection again to make sure that I choose the correct dress. Both Erin and Olivia send me very kind thank you notes, which I enjoyed a lot reading. I am so happy that I bought the gown of my dream at a&b and I am looking forward to try on my dress in the shop when it arrives! :)

I can't recommend a&be, and especially Elizabeth, highly enough! They have a beautiful and diverse (in terms of style AND price) selection of dresses and the vibe is very welcoming.

I went with my mom once, found a couple favorites, visited other stores, and then ended up coming back a second time because I knew my dress was there. They generously let me try on (carefully) one of my favorite dresses in the color I wanted, even though they were sending it back to the designer to resell. (It was the only one in that color in the store.) I ended up choosing a new, completely different dress, which surprised everyone, including myself. I appreciated how Elizabeth really helped me make up my mind. Without her guidance (which was NEVER pushy at all), I probably would have just never made up my mind.

She also got me 10% off my dress because there was a trunk show for my designer a few days later! They also seemed very transparent about everything, like there were no hidden costs or policies. Highly recommended!

Very happy with the quality of my Truvelle gown. I believe this is the only place to find Truvelle in the Twin Cities. My wedding dress was very unique and perfect for me. The dresses at the other boutiques didn't even come close. Love that this shop carries young designers that aren't in all of the magazine ads. The staff were also very easy to work with and communicative after I had made my purchase. Easy appointment booking was also nice. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't do alterations. I ended up using Cheung's Tailor close to my house in Fridley and they were great!

a&bé is the most magical place! They have the best selection of dresses, veils and accessories at wonderful prices, I didn't need to look anywhere else. I love the unique and elegant dresses available at a&be bridal. I was especially excited to be able to try on Truvelle dresses right in Minneapolis. The shop is spacious, modern and clean, and the staff are amazing. Olivia was a pleasure to work with. She was helpful, personable, and attentive without adding any pressure. I had a great overall experience and would highly recommend a&bé bridal!

I feel like I must start this review saying it is being written by a person who has been to every bridal shop in Milwaukee, along with a handful in Chicago and Madison. So about 15 bridal shops all together. A&be was by far my favorite. We made an appointment the first day we were in town. The shops was clean, open, and adorable. Our Consultant was Kristin. Kristin was beyond everything I could have hoped for in a consultant. She was so warm, patient and helpful. Not only with me but with my mom as well. She never made me feel rushed, and was so genuine with her opinion and interest in my appointment. I narrowed it down but couldnt decide between 2 and Kristin suggested coming back the next day to decide. When i returned the next morning Kristin allowed me to try on other dresses to be sure. One of those other dresses ended up being the one! Kristin was so understanding about me needing to come back the second day. She was genuinely understanding. (which in some bridal shops I've experienced the eye roll when I explain I wasn't ready to decide.) I feel like I made a true friend with Kristin and felt like the entire time she had MY best interests at heart. We celebrated me saying "yes" with a champagne toasts and hugs:) The measuring was done by 2 consultants 3 seperate times to ensure they were right so i trust them completely! I can't wait to come back to the shop to pick up my dress!!!

Emily was seriously amazing! She was professional, super fun and likable, and knew exactly which dresses to pull based on the style I described to her. I bought the first one she pulled! Emily was honest, not pushy, and allowed us to ask a ton of questions (and had all the answers). I appreciated that A&be has unique designers you won't see all over town, and I loved looking through the dresses with Emily prior to her pulling them. Will definitely recommend!

I cannot begin to put into words how great my experience at a&bé has been. I was really nervous about the whole wedding dress shopping experience and Kristin really put my nerves at ease and was so pleasant to work with that I found myself returning just to work with her due to my level of trust and the calmness working with her provided me. I ended up finding a dress at another shop but had a bad feeling about that shop and a bad experience in attempting to purchase the dress there and that led me straight back to a&bé where I knew I could find something similar, if not better, and be able to trust that I was working with fabulous people who would not let me down and make me feel good about myself during the process. I made an impromptu appointment and was greeted by Kristin with a hug the moment I walked in. I told her what had happened, showed her a photo of the other dress and she instantly pulled two that were similar and one that I ended up purchasing. My confidence never waned and I'm looking forward to trying it on at my first fitting. I highly recommend this shop and I highly recommend Kristin. This was the best experience that I had out of all of the bridal shops that I went to and I will tell every bride that I know to go here first.

I loved working with A & Bé bridal shop! They are really personable during your appointment and are great with communicating the process of it all. The woman who helped me (shout out!) even hand-wrote me a little letter I received in the mail telling me she was glad to work with me the day I picked my dress. Don't even get me started with the dresses themselves. Gorgeous, soft, AND (relatively) affordable??? Literally the best place I could have found, and it supports lesser-known designers. Needless to day, I love this place and would send anyone there.

My experience with A&Be was AMAZING! To start off, the shop atmosphere is great, it is open and welcoming. Emily, my stylist was superb! I showed her a few pictures of dresses on my phone to give her an idea of what I was looking for and she totally got it. The very first dress she put me in was THE ONE! She was very helpful throughout the whole experience and was super friendly. I actually was not looking forward to trying on wedding dresses but it turned out to be a very enjoyable and happy experience! I will definitely recommend A&Be to anyone and everyone.

My trip to a&be couldn't have been more amazing! As a bride who was dreading being on display in a billion dresses she didn't like, the consultants at a&be make you feel like your with more of your girlfriends! The unique atmosphere and romantic vibe of their store made me feel excited to try on all of their incredible dresses, instead of dread it! They have every style of dress you could possibly imagine, so I could see myself in a little bit of everything. After pointing out some aspects I liked and didn't like about the dresses I had tried on, Rebecca was able to pick THE ONE... I fell in love (again). The process was easy, fun, and relaxing! I would highly recommend a&be to any bride, especially one who doesn't know quite what she's looking for yet! Their team is amazing, and their dresses are beautiful! Go visit!

I absolutely loved my experience at a&be!! I am one of those girls who has been dreaming about her wedding for as long as she can remember, and a&be was everything I dreamed of when finding my dream dress! I highly recommend this bridal shop for anyone who wants a special experience. Everyone there was so friendly and attentive, and they made the appointment so relaxed and fun! This shop was my first stop out of two that day, and it was definitely my favorite. The first dress I tried on was THE ONE, but I decided to give my next appointment a chance. But once I realized I had already found my dress at a&be, I decided to go back to the shop to see if they would let me try it on again before heading home for the day. They were so accommodating and welcomed me back. I got to try on my gown once more, and they brought out champagne for me and my guests when I locked my decision in! It was such a fun and memorable day!

I had three bridal appointments in one day, and my time with a&be was certainly the most enjoyed. My planner told me this ahead of time, and it was certainly true. You have your own personal area (this is not true everywhere) and my consultant did great with finding dresses based on my style and likes. I got a hand-written thank you a few weeks after purchasing my dress, and a personal email from my consultant when they found out the estimated date of my dress coming in.

a&bé was by far the best bridal shop I went to! It has a great boutique vibe and everyone working there is incredibly nice. They also have a very unique selection of dresses that you will not find anywhere else in Minnesota. If you're looking for a dress that's different from the sea of strapless ballgowns that are at most bridal salons, I highly recommend a&bé. My stylist Kristin was amazing to work with. She was so helpful and thoughtful and didn't pressure me into anything. I got my dress during a trunk show and the designer was actually in the shop. I got to spend an hour with the designer of my dress which was an incredible experience and made my dress buying experience that much more personal and special. I highly recommend a&bé- the best bridal shop in Minnesota!

This store was by and away by favorite! It is conveniently located, has great hours and provides the best service. Emily and Anne helped me and they were adorable. Only wedding dress shop I went to! Loved the small boutique feel but reasonable prices, and incredibly kind, helpful and professional staff. Was super impressed with my consultant and felt comfortable the entire appointment. After trying on a few dresses she even caught on to how I felt in a dress without me saying anything. All the sales staff are wonderful and very friendly. They are sensitive to your budget needs and will help you pick out a great dress. Never once did I feel pressured to purchase a dress there. I had visited about 10 other shops and ended up purchasing my dress here. I love that the sales staff get featured on the store's facebook page for the wedding-related side work that they do. As a result, you feel like the staff are really passionate about the field. I found that the price of my dress was comparable with other shops for the same dress. Overall, a great experience.

I am IN LOVE with this Bridal shop! The shop carries a unique variety of gowns that run in price from approximately $850-a lot :) With a smaller budget I was worried I wouldn't be able to find something to fit my taste, but that was not true! My consultant Emily was amazing and as soon as she saw me (and my maxi dress) she knew exactly what to pull for me to try on. She got it on dress #2! The whole process was easy, personal and so flexible. I don't live in Minneapolis so they offered to help me out with shipping, get me in touch with a tailor in my local area and even gave me little tips about steaming and tailoring. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop if you like good service and you don't want to feel like you're in a bridal factory where there is nothing unique about the dresses!

Trying to find a dress shop that is unique and different can be a daunting task. A&be has such a wide variety of bohemian and classic dresses, I knew it was the place that I was going to find my dress. Kristen was AWESOME and so helpful, after we found my dress we celebrated with a glass of champagne (well, sort of...she gave me a glass!). The entire staff is very thorough and meticulous in measuring/choosing a size. I'm so thankful a&be exists or I would be stuck with a boring gown from a generic shop!!!

a&bé is a dream! Love, love, love the unique and boho vibe that can be found in these stunning dresses. These ladies have amazing taste in designers and will make your experience so wonderful.

Long story short: Started second guessing my current dress (from a different retailer) three months before the big day (eek!). I walked into a&bé in Minneapolis to see if they might have anything that was more "me." My heart basically burst the moment I walked in - stunning space, stunning dresses and such helpful staff.

A stylist, Rachel, showed me my options (given my timeline) and I instantly fell in love!. What luck!! I could not be happier with dress I found and the experience I had.

My experience shopping for my wedding dress was amazing from start to finish! I was able to look around at the dresses that they had available. This is the first and only bridal salon that I looked at for dresses. My experience was just incredible. Sierra was so warm and super helpful, right away understanding my vision for my dress. She made me feel really comfortable and we had a lot of fun talking while I was trying on dresses. I told her that my biggest worry for the day was not fitting into dresses since I'm not a sample size, but she made everything work perfectly and I felt really pretty trying things on. She also had me try on something totally different- a big ball gown- and it really helped solidify the dress choice for me.

I ended up with exactly the kind of dress I envisioned, in my price range, and super happy and excited for the rest of the dress process. Also, the other woman who helped fit me was really friendly and they made sure to measure me a few times to get the size exactly right.

Awesome experience and I can't wait to get married! Thanks for helping me find my dress, a&bé bridal shop!!

I had a wonderful experience buying my dress through a & bé. I wasn't quite sure what to expect and I was originally planning on buying my dress online, but I thought I would humor my family and friends by going to a boutique fitting. I was impressed with the atmosphere, their unique dress collection, and the friendliness of the stylists. We not only had an incredibly enjoyable day, but I found a dress that made me shine (and that happened to be priced below my intended budget!). It was nice that the entire team commented and made suggestions in regards to accessories and what they liked/disliked about each dress, even though you are assigned one stylist. The cherry on top was a nice hand-written thank you letter and timely updates on when my dress will arrive. I was a skeptic going into this experience, but I couldn't be happier with the sweet memories of buying my gorgeous wedding gown. Highly recommend!

I just purchased my dress this past weekend and I could not be more excited! I looked at several places in Des Moines and was starting to get discouraged. On a weekend trip to Minneapolis I decided to make a last minute appointment. It must have been fate because they had just had a cancellation and were able to squeeze me in.
I got a great feeling about the place as soon as I walked in. Everyone was so welcoming and seemed just as excited as I was! Jordan and Rachel did such a great job of picking up on the vibe of my wedding and what I was looking for. The very fist dress I tried on was exactly what I wanted! They nailed it! I didn't feel any pressure from them at all, I am 100% confident in my decision. Not only does a&bé have the most gorgeous dresses, but everyone working there truly cared that I found my dress and felt comfortable in it.
Oh! And a girl who had purchased her dress there was getting married across the street the day I was there. All the girls working were so excited to see her walk out of the church in one of their dresses. They were genuinely excited and I loved that about them.

As soon as I left a&bé I said to one of my bridesmaids, "I wish I could buy a MILLION wedding dresses from them!" For real y'all, I had the best experience shopping at this bridal salon. They have a plethora of choices, from hip and trendy to classic and timeless. I was not the bride that walked in and was able to say, "I want an ivory a-line with soft netting, a pop of lace, big blingy belt around my middle and a low back." In fact, I i choked a little bit when asked what I wanted, how could I make a choice when I was surrounded by a thousand different dresses?? When it got a little overwhelming looking at all the beautiful dresses, my stylist was able to pick up on small details from my engagement ring to pick out the perfect dress for me (seriously). They were prompt, professional and fun and they LISTENED. I cannot recommend this salon enough - every bride needs to visit!

I bought my dress and accessories here. I really loved coming here. Everything turned out great and I can't wait to wear it all on my wedding day. My dress did come in very large so it s hard to imagine what wearing it would be like since I'm kind of swimming in it until I get alterations. I knew alterations would be needed so it's not a major issue. The stylist was great in handling my difficult mom and making sure I got the dress I wanted. The stylist who helped my with picking out my veil Rebecca? was amazing and helpful.

My experience at a&be was one I would wish for every bride. Kristen was welcoming, helpful, personable, not pushy, and seemed to actually care about finding me the perfect dress. I was treated as an individual and not a cookie cutter bride to be.

The store is also designed so well. It feels open an inviting. Each customer gets their own changing room, mirror, and seating area. While their selection of dresses is smaller than some places, they have picked a wide range of exquisite dresses to sell.

Compared to the other dress shop I went (a highly reputable one at that), a&be won hands down on their staff, environment, and selection.

I am so happy to have found the perfect dress at a&be and to have had such a wonderful experiences here with my mom. Thank you!

My first visit followed a not-so-great visit to the Wedding Shoppe on Grand Avenue. Sierra helped me at that initial visit, and I instantly fell in love with my Katie May gown! I received so many compliments on it; I would wear it every day if I could.

I also came here after purchasing my dress for a Sara Gabriel accessories trunk show, and had a fantastic experience with that as well! Sara herself helped me select a beautiful headband that complimented my dress perfectly.

I'm so glad this fantastic dress shop is in Mimneapolus! It is great for non-traditional brides, but I feel like anyone could find the dress of their dreams there, and at a reasonable price.

This was by far the best bridal shop I went to searching for dresses. I went to probably four other dress shops, but could not find what I was looking for (which was flowy, bohemian/grecian, etc.). I found that many other shops did not necessarily have a lot of on-trend or classy dresses. I did not want a ton of bling, ruffles, or otherwise what New Jersey girls on Say Yes to the Dress want.

I went one Saturday and found a few dresses by one designer that I liked but did not love. I was told the designer, Elizabeth Dye, would be there the next weekend for a trunk show. I returned and Elizabeth was wonderful. In the end, she combined the top of one dress with the bottom of another for me and no extra cost. It was a phenomenal experience.

I wish the store did alterations as it would be one less thing to research, but overall purchasing my dress from this store was a great experience.

The Best Dress Shop I Went To!

If you’re in the market for a wedding dress in the Twin Cities you have to go to A & Bé! It was by far the best experience we had during my dress shopping adventure. I was actually really dreading trying on a ton of dresses because I’m very picky. The very first thing Abigail did during our appointment was have me describe parts I liked and disliked about a few dresses on the rack and listened to how I pictured our wedding day. The very first dress she picked for me was the one! She did an incredible job of piecing together all my likes/dislikes to find the perfect dress. I feel like at other shops we went to, they didn’t really listen to me and kept putting me in gowns that weren’t “me”. Abigail nailed it with all the dresses I put on! She was so patient and sweet throughout our appointments and was so knowledgeable about different ways to customize my dress to make it exactly what I pictured - all while being respectful of my budget. It was also so fun to spend some time in their gorgeous space that instantly makes you feel like a unique and special bride. I highly recommend Abigail and the other ladies at A&Bé! I can’t wait to go back to pick up my dress this summer!

Comfortable and welcoming experience

I went and they made me feel like a princess without the princess dress (which is what I wanted). Emily and Lauren were a great help in the search! I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted, but by the end they helped me figure it out without having to go over budget! I felt relaxed and not rushed. I just got word that my dress will be in at the end of February and I CANNOT wait!!

I was torn between two dresses at a&bé. I figured since they both had elements I loved, I'd end up having to settle and not be completely satisfied with the choice I made. I expressed these thoughts to both Olivia and Emily. They were understanding and accommodating, and they came up with several ideas to combine my favorite parts of the dresses to create the gown of my dreams! These ladies were the BOMB. The shop has an extensive variety of styles and price ranges, and I'd buy a million dresses there if I could.

As a bride who isn't really into the spotlight, I was definitely nervous to try on dresses. a+bé was my second stop and easily my favorite! They have tons of unique dresses and a beautiful space! The open layout still allows each dressing room and mirror area to feel private. I shopped here twice, once with my mom to get an idea of styles, and again with my bridesmaids when I ended up finding my dress. Both consultants I worked with, Erin & Emily Ann, made the experience so fun and I never felt self-conscious! After finding my dress, I was still a little nervous about the sleeves. After a quick email to Emily, she promptly responded saying she talked to the designer and conveyed the necessary info to her. I highly recommend a+bé to any brides looking for unique, simple, beautiful dresses and a wonderful shopping experience! Also note, they have lots of options for customizing your gown and will work with you to make it happen!

If I could give this store & the ladies working here more stars I t o t a l l y would. The only reason I deducted one star is because they are closed on Sundays & Mondays, which as it turns out are the only days that would have worked to have my mom & most of my bridal party able to attend my appointments. :(

I came to a&bé after two previously failed appointments at other local shops. I had a particular dress in mind, which I was told the store of my first appointment carried, but found out was just online upon arriving, & the second appointment store just wasn't really my style.

I contacted a&bé to possibly try on the dress that I couldn't get out of my head, just to rule it out as an option or jump for joy if it was "the one." From the moment I called them they were pleasant & accommodating. I worked with Jordan & Becca via email to special order the sample of a Hayley Paige dress in to try on. Fast forward about a week or so & the dress is about to arrive. We have set an appointment for me to come in the evening it arrives. However, life threw a monkey wrench (of course!) into those plans & I ended up being scheduled to work on a day I normally have off. Becca co-ordinated with me via email to come in moments after it arrived, so I could make it to work in time. It ended up being "the one" & I enjoyed twirling around their beautiful store in my dream dress, drinking champagne with my mom. I didn't want to leave, or take off the sample. :)

I can't wait to go back in next week to try on my dress. (!!!) They don't have in house alterations but give you plenty of suggestions & insider tips on where to go locally. I couldn't be happier with my experience at a&bé & I will gladly tell every bride I come across to do what I should have done & START your search here!

I had a wonderful experience at a&bé. I am not a fan of bridal salons (I worked at a more traditional one when I was in college and it was hell), but this place is lovely. No hard sell or bride-shaming, just a bunch of chill body-positive ladies who know their shit and have a BEAUTIFUL and cool-as-hell selection of dresses. I had a great time working with Kristin.

A MUST STOP on your bridal dress tour! I worked with Emily and she was amazing! By the time I got to A&be I had looked at several other boutiques in the area. I had not had good experiences AT ALL we will just leave it at that! I was so over looking for dresses.. nothing fit right, looked right, or was in my price range.. I was getting discouraged thinking I would never find my dream dress. I overlooked A&be because i thought their designers were out of my price range but I kept hearing good things! I should have listened the first time and just went! I finally caved and looked at their website. I saw a new designer coming to their shop and the minute i clicked on the designer I saw the most amazing dress! I immediately called them and set up an appointment! Walking in I was happy to see it had a open modern urban feel! It wasn't all white and stuffy looking. I could actually walk in without getting scolded about my shoes being on the carpet.. They greeted me immediately! Emily was so down to earth and really listened to my needs. She didn't come of snobby whatsoever , which was something I had run into a lot. I told her I still wanted to try on some different styles even though I came in for one specific dress. Through the whole thing , getting in and out of the dresses to explaining the dresses she was sooo knowledgeable. She clearly had a relationship with the designers and that made me feel good about my purchase. It wasn't just an order to some random place it was very personal. I am absolutely in love with my dress! I loved Emily and the atmosphere of the sho! We popped champagne after I SAID YES! the only reason I didn't give all 5 stars on flexibility is because I haven't really experienced having to ask them to be flexible. I did come in 8 months before my wedding which I know seems late but everything will be done in time so I guess you could say that was flexible but honestly they deserve two thumbs up, 5 stars etc. A UNIQUELY ELOQUENT BRIDAL EXPERIENCE.

Came in not expecting to purchase a dress and ended up purchasing a sample dress in the designer I love. So excited to have found my dress. I love a+be! It was the first store I went where I felt like they just got me. The dresses are gorgeous and unique. As soon as I walked in the door I knew I was going to find my dress at a+be. Erin worked with me to find dresses that would work well for me and she helped me to develop a strategy so the process of trying on dresses wouldn't be so overwhelming. Erin and all the staff were super helpful. They could give me honest advice while at the same time remaining very professional. The designer of my dress was even in the store that day and gave me a little consultation about fit and styling, it was amazing! I would highly recommend a+be to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

I visited four bridal shops in Minneapolis/St. Paul while dress shopping, and a&be’ was hands-down my favorite with their beautiful selection and outstanding service. My appointments were met on time, and I was always greeted with a friendly smile and positive energy when I visited the shop to try on dresses. My stylist, Erin, was incredibly knowledgeable about the designers styles and fabrics of gowns which was helpful in trying to find a lightweight dress for a destination beach wedding. I would highly recommend a&be’ of Minneapolis to bride-to-be’s who are not only looking for an unforgettable dress, but who also want to be treated like they are more than just a number!

Found the A & Be shop by googling "The Best Of" category. I didn't want to waste time shopping where I wasn't going to find my special dress. I am a first time, older bride who felt that age could be an issue finding a dress. I scheduled 4 appts. in one day at various shops. I had few opinions on dresses, had not looked online, completely open minded.

The A & Be shop was my third appointment of the day. It was completely different from the others. It has a cool, vintage, warehouse look. The shop has a relaxed feel with expert stylists who are excited to help you. Dresses are displayed on racks, easily seen and welcomed to look at. Dress selections are unique and stunning! You are in wedding heaven when you walk in!

Kristen worked with me. After speaking with her about my budget and style (I'd told her I was looking for something vintage, classy and figure flattering), she brought 3 dresses. She listened to likes/dislikes and brought an add'l 2 more dresses. While that was happening, my sister began to look thru the racks. She found a dress and suggested I try it on. That proved to be the special dress. It hit all the marks! It couldn't have been better having my sister find "the dress".

Best choice I made was coming to the A & Be shop. Other shops may have more dresses with more budget conscious brides in mind but A & Be has really unique, special dresses and will work with varous budgets. It is bridal dress shopping in a relaxed way with experts who treat you like a valued family member....truly a special, memory making experience.

Very good follow up once dress is purchased. They keep you informed of dress arrival date, mine was months early. They don't do alterations so know that you will need to make your own arrangements for that. Parking is not the best, few spots, crowded and will need to pay. UPS truck hit my car while I was shopping. Flexibility in scheduling may be an issue but they'll work with you.

I cannot say what an enjoyable experience it was to shop at A & Be. As soon as I stepped into the shop I knew I didn't want to buy my dress anywhere else. I tried on at least 5 gowns that I easily could have gotten married in!

Becca was a wonderful stylist that didn't waste my time with any dresses outside of my tastes. I also appreciate that they give new designers an opportunity to grow by offering trunk shows, etc.

After working in the bridal industry for over 4 years, I was hesitant to even enter the doors of a different store, but knew that they had a different selection than most. a&bé bridal stylists do work in a different way as they try not to allow the family/bride's guests to look through the gowns, but I completely understand why this is. From my experience as a consultant, I many times had family members pull gowns that were not in the bride's style or budget. So for her to have to try it on just to please her guest was exhausting.
My stylist was Erin. What a dear! After I introduced her to my large party(I drove 8 hours to my appointment so I wanted my family members from MSP to be able to join) whom they accommodated nicely, Erin pulled me aside and we talked about my style and I showed her photos of dresses that I had liked from pictures. After our chat, we went to the rack of dresses I had come in for, Hailey Paige trunk show. She pulled the dress I was most interested in and then we continued to walk through the store. I was extremely nervous as I am a plus size bride fitting in a 18-20 and was unsure that I would fit into anything. They had a few styles in my size that I personally grabbed to try on knowing that I would feel more comfortable in those, but Erin assured me that the two dresses I loved she would make sure we got on.
I tried on 5 dresses, with the second dress being "the one". I did go to another appointment later that day, but knew that my dress was at a&be! I returned later that afternoon, tried on my dress again, and champagne toasted! Thank you so much a&be and I look forward to seeing Erin and the girls later this winter!

Unique Dresses

My initial encounter at A&Be was AWESOME. The stylist was like a wedding dress wizard. I gave her a very limited list of things I wanted/didn't want but really didn't have a dream dress in mind. The first dress she picked for me was actually the dress I ended up wearing for my big day! When my dress finally came in however I was rather disappointed, it didn't fit, my wizard no longer worked for the shop, and I felt stuck with a dress that seemed VERY different then the dress I had originally tried on.

Staff was sweet and attentive to my disappointment, helped order me some extra material. With a fair amount of alterations the dress worked out perfect for a HOT, outdoors, MN wedding! The dresses they offer are unique, different and have a hippie/boho feel which was really hard to find at other bridal shops. If you are looking for an atypical dress definitely check them out.

This was the final salon I visited in my dress hunt, and based on the reviews I expected it to be just as nice as the other shops. I travelled from out-of-state and had hoped this would be my last bridal appointment, and that I'd finally choose a dress here. A fourth of the way into the appointment, I wanted to leave. The consultant was very pushy and seemed to be pressuring me into choosing one particular dress, despite my reservations about it. I wanted the chance to try on a few others that I'd driven a long way to see but she seemed resistant. After we left my fiance commented on how harsh she was towards me. I ended up choosing a dress I tried on here but purchased it from another shop because I felt anxious about having to return to A&Be. And while it shouldn't matter, I will note that many of the other shops when out of their way to personalize the visit. The shop where I ended up buying my dress had me fill out a questionnaire prior to my appointment to better understand my style, and when I arrived they had a sign above my dressing room that said "Future Mrs. (lastname)." Little details such as this actually went a long way towards making it less stressful.

Started strong

I had a great experience finding my dress. Communication was clear and I felt they listened to me. It was apparent that I was a priority to them. Unfortunately, that priority made a drastic turn after buying my dress. After receiving the call that my dress came in, there were multiple unanswered calls and messages. Once actually getting ahold of someone, I was told I would get a call back, which never happened. My only option to pick up my dress within the 5 days outlined in the contract was 1 appointment while I was at work or curbside. I could have made an appointment outside the 5 day window, but would need to accept the dress as is. I ended up choosing curbside. I had intentions of looking at accessories with my dress, but couldn’t even be told the price of earrings during pick up. This was a total heartbreaking experience for me. I feel robbed of something that should have been such a joyful experience. I’m so thankful that I did not take the stylist recommendation to size up. Based on the measurements, I chose a different size and only need slight hemming.
