Katie and Andrew's Wedding

Fantastic and Delicious Catering

We hired Alexander Event Catering based on a recommendation from our coordinator and they did a fabulous job at our wedding at the Spanish River Library. We had about 70 guests and we had a cocktail hour with passed appetizers and a plated dinner with a choice of short ribs, chicken florentine, or eggplant napoleon. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our guests loved it! The service was top-notch as well. We had several servers checking in on us to make sure we ate and had drinks throughout the night. One server walked with us around the lake during our photos after the wedding to make sure we had our welcome mojitos and appetizers. Dorina and the AE team helped make a very memorable evening for our family and guests.

A Superior Catering Company

If you are looking for the PERFECT catering company, Alexander Event Catering is that company! We were lucky enough to come across their booth at a wedding expo and were so impressed with the food and the staff. After speaking with Monica (the owner), the decision to hire them for my daughter's wedding was an easy one...and one we certainly do not regret! The professionalism of the world-class team is surpassed only by the taste and quality of the food. Our guests from the wedding are STILL talking about how amazing and delicious everything was! From the cocktail hour - with what seemed like never-ending tray service, through dinner, everything was impeccable! Hire this company...you won't be sorry!

p.s: if you are having an event and considering the late-night bites, all I can say is DO IT! We opted for grilled cheese and the chicken and waffles - delish!

Way better than wedding food!

The taste of the food is amazing! Usually the wedding food is flavorless, not this one! 80% of my wedding guests complimented the food. Also they accommodated my gluten-free and vegan meals without a problem! We will be using them for baby shower in August again!

Amazing Team!

We love Alexander Event Catering!! We hosted 130 people for our wedding last week and all of them were raving about the food, service, and staff. The passed appetizers were warm, frequent, and delicious which everyone really appreciated. The staff was so friendly and attentive the entire night, which was amazing because they made sure the bride and groom were well fed & well taken care of! Entrees were a big hit as well! Can't recommend the team at Alexander Events enough.

Best Caterer in South Florida!

We are so thrilled we chose this company. The number one comment we got from guests was how good the food was (something you don't always hear at weddings!). I thought the food was even more outstanding than when we did our tasting - the quality was just superb! We were in constant contact with Dorina, who made sure everything went smoothly on our special day. The food was delicious

We were referred to Alexander Catering Through our venue. They were on the shortlist of approved dedicated caterers for the Cruz building. Monica and her staff specifically Austin and his team pulled off a tremendous event. We were looking for a fun, upbeat atmosphere with several food stations and they pulled it off without a hitch. Guests still raving about the delicious and abundant options.

Amazing caterer!

Our wedding was catered by Alexander Catering this past weekend and we cannot say enough great things about them. From the get go Monica was a pleasure to work with. They were extremely flexible and strove to make sure the day was everything we wanted. On the day of the wait staff and bartenders were amazing and so friendly. We got tons of compliments on how great the food was. We cannot recommend them enough for any couple looking for a caterer for their wedding day!

Phenomenal Food, Presentation & Service!

The best decision we made was having Alexander Catering Events, cater our wedding. The food was phenomenal, and most importantly, so was the staff! Everyone was so welcoming, kind, and fun to be around. Michelle and her staff were an absolute pleasure.
We were unable to eat our dinners since we were up and about catching up and taking photos with family and friends, Michelle was so kind in packing up plates for us to take home and enjoy! How thoughtful. Emilia, one of the servers, always had water and drinks ready for us whenever we needed and snuck us all the hors d-oeuvres when we couldn’t join cocktail hour due to our photo session with the photographer.
The attention to detail that they have is incomparable to any catering company I’ve seen. From the set up they have to the way they plate the hors d’oeuvres were incredible, not to mention SO DELICIOUS! They also have the best selection of tableware which helped create a beautiful setting for our family & friends. Everyone absolutely loved the food and atmosphere they brought to the venue. I could not recommend anyone better than Alexander Catering!

Incredible company, food, service

We did not hesitate to book Alexander Catering for our wedding at Living Sculpture Sanctuary in Davie, FL. Just one glance at their work, we knew they could represent our goofy, youthful relationship through classy, elegant food. My goodness, did they deliver beyond our expectations. Michelle Reckseit was incredible throughout the entire process. She was prompt with email correspondence, an absolute joy of a personality, and knowledgeable about creating a cohesive aesthetic. She pushed to execute our visions, and when something didn't meet her high standards, she made quick moves to correct it without question. I cannot hype this company up enough. The food tastes just as fabulous as it looks. There was not one unpolished dinner plate among our guests and the appetizers and late-night bites were a huge hit! Don't hesitate! Best In Class

Alexander Events, with Austin Blake as our account manager, catered our two weddings and WOW were they great! Our first wedding was a formal multi-course sit down dinner for 55 people, while the second was a more casual cocktail style event with food stations for 225 people. Alexander Events offered a multitude of options within our budget and made us feel that nearly anything was possible. They were absolutely spot-on for both events. Their food is absolutely delicious, and their presentation deserves special recognition. Working with Austin was a true pleasure from our very first call, to contract negotiations, tastings, and all the way through the events themselves. I am so happy that we chose Alexander Events as our caterer!

Impeccable Service and Fabulous Food

Monica and her team were fabulous! Our venue was Vizcaya, which is difficult to coordinate because of the restrictions and requirements. Monica has vast experience with the venue and handled all that was required. The choice of appetizers and entrées Monica offers was endless. The selections we made were beautifully served and delicious, especially the lamb chop, scallops and bacon and ceviche appetizers. Everyone adored the beef short rib choice for dinner. The table settings were magnificent. The servers were incredibly attentive to everyone, always assuring there was a drink and appetizer at hand. Dinner service was a marvel as all 105 plates were served within 5 minutes of each other. No one waited for anything at any time. The salads were decorated with delicious edible flowers. The entrée presentation was perfection. We had 4 choices for entrées, and each plate was delivered as ordered with no confusion or any guest being served the wrong entrée. The red velvet wedding cake was a sensation and beautiful as well. The staff's flexibility on timing was also notable, as the toasts preceding the entrée service went longer than expected, but everything came out perfectly prepared. Pricing was exceptionally reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity of food served. We recommend Monica and her team to anyone throwing a formal event! Excellent catering service

A Alexander Event Catering put together an excellent evening for our wedding. Our cocktail hour had begun only for mere minutes before guests were telling me how wonderful the drinks and hors d'Oeuvres were! The dinner options were plentiful, and everyone loved the dishes they had selected for their meals.
During the stressful process of wedding planning, Austin was attentive, friendly, and professional. I would highly recommend their services for event catering in South Florida!

Best Decision

Spoke to lots of caterers and when I connected with monica and her team I knew instantly we’d made the right choice. Flexibility with the menu/choices, responsiveness(!!), and quality are three things that are hard to find with catering vendors and this team kills it with all three. They were willing to work with our many needs for customizing our menu, and we’re patient every step of the way. And of course most importantly our guests LOVED the food! Presentation was beautiful and staff was kind. Shout out to Austin who was a rock star and a dream to work with!!!! The best vendor decision I made for my wedding. ❤️ You can not go wrong with hiring this team, trust me!

BEST Wedding Caterers!

Felix and his team at A Alexander are absolutely incredible!! We hired them as our caterer for a wedding at Vizcaya in September and I can't describe what a pleasure it was working with Felix to plan our food. Not only is the food from cocktail hour to dessert delicious (our guests are still talking about the food we had!), but Felix is so helpful in all aspects. He went above and beyond to help us get a dance floor and cooling fans to help with the Miami heat. The team at A Alexander will truly help you realize your culinary visions for your event and I cannot recommend them enough. They are the BEST!!!!!

Flexible, Responsive, and Delicious Food!

We hired A Alexander Catering for our wedding reception this past December. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was definitely a challenge but A Alexander really went out of their way to work with us all the way up until the end to ensure we felt comfortable and happy with the packages, services, food, and set-up. We were paired with Sonia, the Catering Manager, who was SO responsive to communications before and during the wedding and made sure all our wedding visions came to life! We chose to go with a fun mojito entrance where our guests were greeted with classic mojitos as they arrived at the doors. Many of our guests stated that they were the BEST mojitos that they had every had! Days later we still had guests telling us how great the quality of the food was. From our perspective as bride and groom, I can honestly say we never went hungry or thirsty! The staff was professional, timely, efficient, and made sure that we were always taken care of and were able to enjoy the night. We honestly can't thank Sonia and A Alexander enough for all the hard work, collaboration, and patience that they showed us on our special day. I would highly recommend this vendor for any catering needs!

Best Caterer's EVER

Felix, Sonia, and the whole A Alexander Event Catering Team exceeded all of our expectations! We wanted an entire vegan menu- from the cocktail hour, appetizer and main course. They prepared an entire vegan menu that was absolutely sensational! All of our guests were very pleased and surprised by how DELICIOUS the food was! Delicious Food and First Class Service!

Delicious food and top notch service! I’m so thankful I had Alexander Event Catering for my wedding. From the moment I met them, they were very kind, loving and made my husband and I feel like we were their priority. They have so many different food/cuisine/drink options to choose from. They listened to our ideas and the day of the wedding they truly outdid themselves. The presentation of the food was so elegant and the food was beyond delicious! Everything from the drinks, to the entre, to the attention my guests and I received was first class. We are so grateful for all they did and how beautifully elegant everything looked.
I received a free wedding from Wish Upon a Wedding (an organization that grants weddings to couples facing terminal illnesses), and Alexander Catering immediately jumped on board and donated their services to my wedding. Even during a pandemic where many businesses are struggling, they donated their services to make my dream wedding possible. They have an enormous heart and they truly care about each customer and take pride in what they do.

The best out there!

Kevin and I were to get married back in April and due to covid not only we postponed our wedding date to July but in those 3 months our wedding plans changed 3 times. I didn’t know about Felix and his team until 10 days before our day when we had to transfer everything to a small home wedding. I found him thanks to my wedding coordinator Joni. We feel so lucky to have found them!!! Alexander Catering and the entire team from putting tents, tables, lights up to the bar and dinner menus and their serving staff were just unbelievable!!! You guys are top of the top ! Considering you took us in and helped us set everything to our home in no time! ♥️ Everything was so elegant, so perfect! The food and appetizers were delicious! Everyone complimented how well done things were!

Tasty food, open bar & great tableware

Sonia and Felix are awesome. They really work to help Keep you in budget but come up with a menu based on you and your friend’s & family’s likes. We had 6 apps, sit down meal, open bar, 2 after dinner snacks, dessert shooters & a cheese wheel cake. Yup, cake made out of cheese wheels - it was beautiful and tasty! Also, get the potatoes au gratin you won’t regret it.

We really wanted a cozy museum like look for our tables and they provided tables with black table cloths and black chilvari chairs which fit our venue perfectly, and the chargers, gold silverware, and cups really popped With the rest of our decor! Wouldn’t change a thing!

Amazing food and service

Great caterer! This was the toughest decision for me and my husband to make. We looked around for many caterers since we were on a budget. If this is your case stop and hire Felix. He will make a menu that fits a reasonable budget and the food is delicious! All our guest stated that they were never too fond of wedding food but that our food served at our wedding was amazing. Def a must hire for a wedding caterer!

Absolutely delicious

I could not be happier with my experience with Alexander Events for my wedding. We had welcome drink mojitos that were not only beautiful, but also delicious, I received numerous complements on the hors d’eouvres, and the dinners were absolutely amazing! When I submitted my inquiry online, Felix called me within an hour to hear what it was I was looking for, he took this information and created a PERFECT menu the first time! The only thing we ended up swapping out (at Felix’s recommendation) was the type of salad, simply due to the timeline I was trying to stay within. His experience with my venue was invaluable in determining the best setup (plated vs buffet). All of the staff the day of the wedding was extremely professional and friendly! They made me and my husband a plate of hors d’eouvres when they noticed we weren’t getting to grab much and boxed up the rest of our dinners when we were only able to eat about half. (They were a delicious late night snack!!) They also made sure we were able to get drink refills when we weren’t able to make it up to the bar. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Alexander Events to anyone looking to have an event catered.

We hired Alexander Events for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made! Our guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was! The team was very attentive and made sure we had our food very quickly so we had time to eat. When we had to leave and take some photos, his team made sure that my plate was left on the table so I can come back and finish my food. I would recommend hiring Alexander Events. We had a wonderful experience with Felix and A. Alexander. He does it all - catering, bar, linens, chargers, dinnerware - which makes it much simpler for an out of town bride (I'm in NY). We chose to add extras like upgraded cutlery and glasses, a raw bar with ice sculpture (an awesome pineapple) and unlimited Prosecco, which were all reasonably priced. The food tastes great and is presented well. I'd recommend him and his staff to anyone.

Felix and his team are truly talented professionals! We planned our wedding from Washington, D.C., and they made sure to answer all of our questions and help create a menu that reflected our tastes and culture. The food was absolutely delicious (we did carving stations that included paella) and our guests couldn’t stop talking about the mojito bar. Felix is very knowledgeable about food and event logistics. He works with you to make sure your big day runs smoothly and everything looks great. You won’t find a better team for your wedding than them!

Felix and his team did an EXTRAORDINARY job on our wedding day- everything was amazing! Since Day 1, Felix has always been professional, provided us with guidance and feedback. We had 6 options of caterers with our wedding at the Cruz Building. We talked to all of them and received quotes from all of them. We felt that Felix and his team were the most straight-forward and willing to work with us. We were able to get what we wanted with little compromise within our budget. Felix is a straight shooter and doesn't have fancy contracts - which we were totally OK with. He dealt with my numerous dietary restrictions for myself and my guests (I am gluten intolerant). He also delivered the best wedding food we had ever had! We had several guests tell us the same. The portions were huge and nobody was neglected. Their staff was also great and made sure that myself and my groom were well fed and our drinks were always full. We had an amazing time and their staff was certainly part of the reason! Another big plus is Felix throws in your selection of charger plates which really added to our look :) Would highly recommend!

We couldn't have asked for better food or service! Our guests raved how good the food was (especially the lamb chops!)! Everything tasted good and was exactly what we wanted. Unlike (most) events, particularly ones at hotels, the portions that this caterer provided was big! No one left our wedding hungry. Everything was seasoned well and tasted great. The bar staff was also very friendly and efficient and would remember what people were drinking so they didn't even have to ask! Kudos to A Alexander and his staff for a great event all around - we would highly recommend them to anyone!

My guests are STILL talking about how good the food at our wedding was. I mean, we knew at the tasting how amazing it would be. But my God! We both even got to sneak in some food as we were rushing around to say hi to everyone. I wish we could've eaten more! It was just incredible. Felix and his team were so organized, so professional, so impressive! Every single guest left wanting more! And Felix was the most patient and accommodating, adhering to every dietary restriction we threw at him. He helped us personalize our menu and advised us on what works best. It was more than we could have ever hoped for. I am recommending to everyone I know! Catering is one of the most important investments for a wedding. Felix and the team at Alexander Event Catering were nothing but Amazing! Felix was a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and quick to respond to text or emails. Nelson was the manager on site and he was a sweetheart. He made sure we loved our food and that everything was how we wanted it. A.Alexander was recommended to us from our amazing planner and we are so happy with the decision! Felix and Kevin were great to work with (mostly through the planner) to develop the menu, make changes, secure rentals and create custom wedding drinks. They were very flexible during the tasting and welcomed any suggested changed. You could tell our satisfaction was extremely important to them. The food on the wedding day was absolutely incredible! Cooking for 100 people, I didn’t expect it to be perfect but they totally blew us away! People were commenting all night that the hors d’oeuvres and the main course were amazing! The staff was also friendly, professional and prompt. 5 stars all around!

We hired Felix for our wedding and could not have been happier from the moment we meet him. He is a standup guy with a great sense of humor and great sense of people! He got what we wanted and he delivered. We had just come back from Tuscany and wanted to impress our guests with a Tuscan Table. Felix put together a table that was edibly beautiful; it was stunning. We had a 5-course plated dinner party for our guests with the most amazing risotto, Parmesan basket salad, and sorbet and for the main course choices we had King Crab Legs, Prime Rib that was cooked perfectly or a vegetarian eggplant rollatini. The staff was the best I have ever worked with. Our guests complimented the staff just as much as the food! No one wanted for a thing at any time. The attention to detail from start to finish was impeccable and I would hire Felix for all of my catering needs going forward. He made my most amazing day just that much more amazing! He works with quality ingredients and quality people.

We hired Alexander Event Catering for our wedding, which took place at the Spanish Monastery. We were highly impressed with every aspect of the event!! ! We chose a buffet option due to the layout of the venue, although we were initially hesitant to do so, and the food was beyond delicious! Several guests said that the food was the best they had at a wedding in a long time or ever. Felix's staff was accommodating to our guests with special dietary needs and responsive to our requests. All of the staff I encountered were professional and friendly, and it was apparent that they all worked hard to make our day extra special. Felix the owner was flexible, informative, responsive, and overall great to work with. I definitely feel that I got the most out of, if not more than I expected, for the cost. Felix really provided an exquisite reception for my daughter's wedding recently held at the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden in West Palm, Florida. The reception venue is under a tent in the garden and very much impacted by rain. There was a brief shower before the wedding and reception with typical South Florida post storm "steaminess" but Felix and his company adapted to the conditions and provided a welcoming environment including serving beverages before the ceremony. His Mojito Bar was a real hit. My daughter's greatest request was for a cheese wheel with pasta and he made a special effort to premiere her wishes. My husband and I were treated to a tasting session beforehand. Felix provides several options for hors d'oeuvres and entrees. We heard from our guests they especially enjoyed the coconut chicken with mango papaya salsa and roasted garlic crusted tenderloin of beef on crostini and the Florida Red Snapper. I must add that the table set up including chargers which Felix himself has designed was stunning. I highly recommend Alexander Events Caterers in Boca Raton, Florida. He was recommended to us by a bride who used him for her wedding also held at the Ann Norton Sculpture Garden and we make the same endorsement.

We could not be happier with the entire experience of working with A Alexander Event Co. Thank you A Alexander Event for making our special day absolutely amazing. They came highly recommended from multiple friends/relatives and they didn't cease to amaze. Catering is taken to the next level with this company.
Felix Alexandrescu was a pleasure to work with and very flexible. He customized everything to our requests and went above and beyond to make our day special. The hors d'oeuvres were beyond delicious and so meticulously put together.The food was phenomenal and we received so many compliments on the perfectly cooked steak. One of our guests repeatedly mentioned that the food was better than some of the County Clubs that he frequently patrons. We knew without a doubt that the food was freshly prepared that day and nothing was previously frozen or processed.
Another guest was so impressed with the food and presentation that he booked them that day for his son's upcoming Bar Mitzvah.

When it comes to trust your event to a professional, without a doubt A Alexander Event is the way to go. From start to finish, A Alexander Event was incredible and did a remarkable job catering our wedding.

My wedding was at the Cruz Building on October 9, 2015. I planned a wedding while living in another city, I loved the fact that Felix was reliable and accommodating with excellent communication skills. He stayed emailing and returning any missed calls.
Felix got to the venue earlier than what we had planned, he went beyond just catering. He would check to make sure we were enjoying our special day. The food was amazing and was no different than the tasting we did!!! My guests told me they were full by the time cocktail hour was over, and they would describe an item because they wanted to search for the recipe. I got so many compliments on all 3 courses: the first course's decoration and dressing, the second course's meat was tasty, and people raved about the cake. The presentation of the food was very impressive!
Felix's staff got me and my husband speechless!!! They were very professional with strong people skills. Georges and Angela made sure I did not stay hungry nor thirsty. I was told how the bartender got every drink right (I had quite a few Fraternity members :-)), and the servers were tireless because they were in and out of the kitchen.
Angela was my ears and eyes because I could not come out of my suite. She coordinated and monitored our wedding timeline extremely well. She multi-tasked from the time she showed up to the venue until she left. She planned every details as we discussed in the meeting.
I would hire A Alexander Event again and definitely recommend it!!!

Very happy with their service. The food presentation was really nice, they were very helpful and flexible. The only thing is that I wished the meat was cooked a little bit more. Other than that the guests really enjoyed the food.

Great service and easy to work with. We did our own table center pieces and were allowed to pick up the linens prior to the event which helped a great deal. There were many many choices of flatware to pick from. They have every style you can think of. Food was quite amazing, my family is still talking about it.

Only thing that was missing was our cake. I'm not sure if communication was lost when we were finalizing the details, but we were told about a new trending type of cake and we said yes to it. However, there was no cake at the wedding. The woman running our event ran out to carvel personally and got us an ice cream cake which is my husband's favorite anyways. Very professional staff. Even with cake mishap, (which could be my fault since everything was so hectic), this vendor deserves 5 stars. Their pricing model is much better than the rest we had quotes from.

Felix from A Alexander Event LLC did a fabulous job at my son's wedding! He is so pleasant, easy to work with and responsive to the client's needs! On top of all that the food is top-notch quality, his servers are extremely professional and the value of his packages are unbelievably terrific! From the first moment we met with Felix, we knew he was the one for us. Our reception was this past weekend, Friday Night at the Pavilion at the lake in downtown WPB. We had a 5 hour event with a cocktail hour and a sit dpwn dinner. We wanted a first class wedding with first class food and service for our 147 guests. We included complimentary valet service for our guest as well. when we were deciding on a event company and caterer to use our main concerns were food quality and temperature and service. Felix promised us that he would do our event and that we would be happy. Well today i can tell you that he over delivered. Felix is amazing! Since the first time I met with him, I knew he was the caterer I wanted! He knew exactly what to do for everything and I knew my wedding was in good hands! A Alexander Event is phenomenal! Felix went over every detail with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. On the day of out wedding the staff couldn't have been more professional and courteous. A lovely server came over to us with a smiling face while we were taking photos and followed us around with a tray of food. I was blown away! When it started raining, Nelson's teams quickly moved not only their own tables but also helped the grooms father move his musical equipment. The bartender even stood out in the rain serving drinks for a while until it started pouring hard then he eventually went indoors. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meals. We did have one undercooked dish, which was probably because we decided to start the dinnertime earlier than planned. Nelson quickly offered to replace with another. Patrick even signed our wedding caricature with well wishes which we thought was classy! The entire staff worked well as a team and responded to every adversity with speed and competence. For the money we spent we received much more than we expected. I would absolutely use A Alexander Event again and will recommend to all my friends!

I could not have asked for anything more from a wedding caterer! Felix was extremely responsive, helpful, and accommodating throughout the entire planning process, and his staff during my wedding was exceedingly professional, kind, and efficient. The passed appetizers were plentiful and tasted amazing, and the dinner food was delicious! I had several guests ask me who our caterer was so they could contact him for future events.

Additionally, I was a bride on a budget and Felix provided a beautifully catered event for a completely reasonable cost. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

What a pleasure doing business with the owner, Felix and what a wonderful and professional staff! I had Alexander Event handle the venue, catering, decor, lighting, invitations, tables and chairs, linens...the entire wedding.

We used A Alexander Events for our wedding March 3rd, 2012 and I must say I am very impressed and pleased we chose this company. Felix and his staff really went above and beyond what I expected and made what was a hectic day, very easy and stress free for me and my new husband. Great catering and rentals for our wedding

We had an amazing experience with Alexander Event catering and rentals (e.g., chairs, tables, linens) for our wedding. We worked with Valentina who made the whole process as easy as possible and had worked with all our other vendors for years. She was really responsive to any questions we had leading up to the day via text or email. The day of the wedding went perfectly and the food was delicious. We did a dual entree, at Valentina's suggestion, of fish and short rib that we received lots of compliments on. She was also really accommodating for a couple guests who had dietary restrictions. Specifically, we had two kosher guests who were not only happy to get kosher meals but they also said the kosher caterer was popular for their quality meals.

Alexander Event Catering and rentals helped make our wedding day a success. We highly recommend them and are especially grateful to Valentina for all her care.

February Wedding

Alexander and his team were extremely professional. We were planning a wedding from afar, and he was easily available by phone, and flexible with our in person meetings on dates that worked for us.

The food options were extensive and delicious. He was able to provide linens and many options for silverware/plates, and even found us 180 chairs 1 week before the wedding when our venue told us they would no longer be able to provide them. He honored a military discount and made us feel at ease about our same sex relationship and marriage.

The staff were able to prepare and serve food in a timely fashion despite a challenging venue/kitchen, and all of our guests loved the food (they talked about it at brunch the next day). The company handled all security and paperwork with the venue, and there were no issues with these details.

We would definitely use this company for future events, and would recommend to others as well.

Amazing food and service

Catering and rentals are probably the largest part of your wedding, apart from the venue setting. We were so happy to find Felix and team. Our guests were so impressed by the food, our table settings were beautiful, and most importantly - we were fed! Felix's team included a server that was dedicated to us. She stayed close by while we took pictures and greeted our guests during dinner, making sure we always had a bite nearby. The food quality impressed even our pickiest eaters. Alexander event is truly amazing! You won't find food or service at the price they offer.

A is certainly for AMAZING!! Words can not express my gratitude to Mr. Felix and the rest of his team from A Alexander. Our wedding was this past Saturday at Gallery of Amazing Things and can I just say, it was indeed a sight to behold!! From the beginning, we knew we wanted our 140 person wedding to be an extremely elegant and semi-formal affair. I wanted to be certain that the company was selected would be able to comply with this atmosphere we were striving to create. Felix went above and beyond to ensure that our day was extraordinary and it was everything that I could ever dream (I know that may sound cliche', but it's true!!) Our guests are still raving about the food and the service. When our guests entered the venue, they were greeted w/a welcome drink, that his staff handed out(even though they did not supply the bar for the wedding). There was also a 5- passed hors d'oeuvre then served a custom Asian-inspired menu (three different food stations) for dinner. As a bride, I was a bit indecisive about regarding my menu. I changed my mind a few times. But, what impressed me most about Felix was his calm and reassuring attitude. He was very accommodating, which is very important when planning a wedding! There wasn't anything that I could ask that Felix disagreed with or denied. I must also comment on the value. After comparing prices with other local catering companies, A Alexander was by far the most reasonably priced for ALL that you receive. There just aren't enough wonderful things I can say about A Alexander. I am SO satisfied and pleased with our decision to select them as our caterer. If you are looking for phenomenal team that will work to guarantee a superior event, you would definitely want to check them out.. You will not be disappointed!

Alexander Event worked with us to provide an open bar, table settings, passed hors d'oeuvres and a buffet for our beach wedding. While we ended up with coconut chicken instead of shrimp and the chicken florentine was a little dry, everything else turned our wonderfully. The staff is very professional and worked with us during the event as the happy hour ended up being extended (probably why the chicken dried out, totally our fault). They even provided several extras for us throughout the planning process to ensure our event had all the niceties we wanted to provide for our guests. The kitchen was set up on site to ensure the freshest food. the snapper with black bean mango salsa was my absolute favorite. They provide a great wedding package that is hard to beat on quality and service. I loved how they include a cake if you have enough guests planned. Dianne made us a beautiful cake! The staff also ensured my husband and I were served plates of food and drinks so we didn't have to spend time in line for the buffet of bar which I found to be very thoughtful. I was overall very happy with our food and presentation at the wedding. Great job, thank you!

A Alexander was recommended to us by our venue. We did a tasting early on, and the passed appetizers, salad, and entrees were delicious. Felix contacted me about a month and a half before our wedding to tell me that the woman he normally uses for the cake would be out of town for our wedding date and gave me the name of another cake vendor. I attempted several times to contact the cake vendor and she failed to return my calls/emails. When I told Felix, he told me that he could give me a credit for the cake; however, the credit was not enough to cover the cost of any vendors in the area. Since the cake was covered by A Alexander in our contract, I alerted Felix to the pricing issues, but he did nothing to retain a new cake baker. Luckily, our planner was able to talk to a baker and Felix and the baker negotiated a price so that we could have a cake at our wedding. However, the cake-drama occurring the final month before the wedding, when we had booked with Felix about ten months prior left a sour taste in my mouth. He was difficult to get in touch with during this time and also "misunderstood" our conversations related to having him find a different baker. It honestly seemed like he didn't want to be bothered.

Prior to the cake issues, we worked with Felix to negotiate our menu and he was open/accommodating making the changes we requested. The day of the wedding, the bartenders were amazing and the staff and servers were great. A separate server was assigned to our sweet heart table and we were never without a drink or water. Everyone loved the passed appetizers, but we did have a couple of guests send their fish back because it was cold. This was the only complaint any of the guests had throughout the entire wedding. All in all, Felix was easy to work with at the beginning but got more and more difficult to get in touch with the closer we got to our wedding date. The service at the reception was stellar and the food, for the most, part was enjoyable.

Best Caterer Ever!

Monica and her team were so great to work with. They were recommended by the venue and as soon as we met, she wanted to figure out how she can make our wedding planning experience better. She did not take anything for granted. She worked with our budget and tried to customize our package to make it work for us. She repeatedly let me know that if there was something specific I wanted, she could make it happen. It’s very hard to find people in this industry that care so much about your special day and make it seem like they don’t also have a bunch of other clients (which I know 100% she did). If she couldn’t answer my call for whatever reason, she would text me right away and answer any questions I would have. On the day of the wedding, her team made the groom and I feel like royalty. As soon as we finished the ceremony, they greeted us with a drink and a plate with our appetizers. All night, we had someone specifically assigned to us to make sure we were being taken of. Not only was the customer service great but more importantly the food was amazing. Everyone kept telling us how the food was so delicious and the guests can tell we had a say in our food as a lot of the appetizers incorporated our favorite bites. I highly recommend A Alexander, couldn’t have made a better choice!

A Alexander's was definitely the best value I found for my wedding. The food was good...although the chicken I had at the tasting was way better than the chicken that was done for my wedding... The only other thing I would say is to make sure to ask questions so you cover everything. Overall, I was happy with them.

I used catering services for my wedding.I will start by saying Felix was great, and the food was delicious. The day of the wedding, there were a couple issues with the service. Now, I am extremely conscientious when it comes to gratuity and my planner and I carefully thought out each vendor who would need tips; I took out enough cash and placed in envelopes and labeled them so I wouldn't have to worry about it at my wedding. I had discussed servers tips with Felix and he said it would be included in the service charge. The last 15 minutes of the wedding, the head waiter gathered my husband and I with paperwork to sign. We asked what it was for since we already paid our bill and he said it was so we could confirm he completed our service. He asked if we wanted to add gratuity and said "most people add 15 to 20 percent". 20 percent on a five figure bill is...a lot. I told him that I already spoke to Felix and it should have come out of the service charge. He laughed and said no...your service charge covered chargers, etc. I had already spoken to Felix about upgrading chargers since I had less guests coming. The head waiter just stood there waiting for our decision It was a lot of money he was asking us for in a split second decision that we were not ready for. The last 15 minutes of my wedding, while all my guests were leaving were spent going back and forth with him. We missed all of guests leaving, no one was left to see us off, we didn't get a caricature drawn and I spend the whole night worrying about it. When my planner spoke to Felix he suggested a gratuity amount way less than the server was trying to get from us. I just thought it was inappropriate to handle it the way he did and he made us feel really bad about it. If the food wasn't so amazing, I'd be more upset, however, I can't help but dwell on it when I try and remember my wedding day.

The only poor review for any of our vendors

We used A Alexander for our wedding last week. There are a few things we'd like to share for other couples looking for a caterer for their south Florida wedding. We chose A Alexander because they can cover all of the food and all of the rentals, which made it much easier for us since our venue didn't provide much.

Finalizing the contract was a bit frustrating. We'd have a few conversations (during which Felix mostly said yes) but then the contract wouldn't get updated accordingly. Just make sure you read it over line by line each time they send another contract. For example, our contract said that we'd have welcome mojitos served in mason jars, and then one randomly said plastic cups. We also had to give a final number fairly early so we ended up needing to pay our minimum guarantee even though we were about 15 adults less (we've later learned that other caterers provide a 2 week window for final numbers instead of 6 weeks so just be informed about that.)

A few things went differently than we had planned during the actual wedding. While apparently there was enough food for everyone according to Felix, many of our guests told us that they didn't get appetizers during cocktail hour or fruit during dessert. We also were missing low top tables which Felix mentioned he'd let us know but then we assumed we'd have them when we didn't hear that we wouldn't. We also were supposed to have a double bar during cocktail hour but we only had a single bar. We also thought our guests would be served at the buffet but it was self serve. Things like that.

All of our other wedding vendors were 5/5 but we just felt the catering experience could have been better.
