Best Night of our LIVES

The BEST DJs in the game. Michael and his team exceeded all expectations. We had the best night of our lives and Michael (and Matt the best MC ever!!) played a huge part in that. He brought alllllllll the vibes and created the absolute best moments on our dance floor that we'll cherish forever.

In the year leading up to our wedding, Michael constantly checked in on us and made the process so easy. He really takes into consideration the music you want on your day and the atmosphere that you want to set. Michael is also a true man of his art - he doesn't just press play, but really mixes the songs all night. We, including all of our friends, were so wowed :')

We can only hope that more of our close friends decide to get married soon so that we can recommend 949 Studio to DJ their weddings lol! We couldn't be more thankful to this team. We would get married a thousand times over and use Michael and his team every time.

P.S. If you're thinking about the dance floor lighting and the venue uplighting options, DO IT. They really create such a fun atmosphere and we were so happy we added them to our package.

Absolutely phenomenal

Michael is an absolute professional. We were referred to him for his DJ/MC services for our wedding. communication was flawless throughout the entire planning process. he was patient and took time to understand us and made sure to tailor the music to the moment. He blended songs in ways I have never heard before and it made a huge difference. He was also responsible for our sound. there were no issues/hiccups with the sound/quality his equipment. YOU WILL NOT REGRET HAVING HIM DJ YOUR WEDDING. you know he did good when everyone's feet are sore from being up dancing the night away. Michael you are amazing! literally everyone after the wedding raved about you and asked us who our DJ was

Help make our dream wedding!

Michael did a phenomenal job. Our guests can't stop talking about the music. They had so much fun and he kept the vibes flowing all night! He also rolled with the punches as I was pretty picky and there were a few surprises that interrupted his flow, but he was flexible and helped make it our dream wedding. Matt was also the perfect MC for us. Upbeat but organized. Highly recommend these guys!!!

Best DJ we could ever ask for!

Michael was the best (wedding) DJ we could have ever asked for! He's extremely passionate about what he does and cares about what his clients want. We received a lot of positive comments from our wedding guests at the end of our wedding night. His ability to create mixes from our preferred music genres flowed seamlessly and to read/feel the energy of the crowd made our wedding night memorable and a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend :)

Whenever we decide to renew our vows and need a DJ, we know who we're asking hands down!

Music was perfect!

We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and MC for our wedding! From start to finish, they brought incredible energy and made the entire night flow seamlessly. Michael did an amazing job reading the crowd — the music was the perfect mix of upbeat favorites and meaningful moments, he played a couple of Cantonese songs that our guests absolutely loved. The transitions were smooth, and the dance floor was full all night!

Usually at weddings I go to, it’s just the younger generation on the dance floor — but he somehow got everyone up dancing, even the older generation! It was so special seeing all our guests enjoying themselves together.

Michael also provided the uplighting, and wow — it completely transformed the space. I was so concerned about creating a romantic atmosphere, but he absolutely KILLED it. The lighting was stunning and set the perfect tone for the evening.

The MC, Manli was equally amazing — she was engaging and so natural switching between English and Cantonese. It made such a difference for our families and guests, helping everyone feel included and connected throughout the night.

We got so many compliments about how great the DJ and MC were! If you’re looking for a team who truly knows how to keep the energy high and make your guests feel part of the celebration, we can’t recommend them enough!

AMAZING job from start to finish

We HIGHLY recommend Michael and the 949 Studio team if you're looking for a DJ and MC for your wedding! They did an absolutely amazing job from start to finish (well more...if you include the planning process too!)

When I first reached out to Michael and we set up the initial call, I knew right away he was our guy! He has incredible energy and confidence in his work -- two things that were really important to us.

We started by giving him a general idea of our musical vibe, and he helped us build out the perfect playlists for our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dance hour. Throughout the planning process, Michael was super responsive and answered all our emails promptly. He's incredibly knowledgeable about music and gave us great suggestions whenever we were unsure about certain songs.

His ability to mix songs and remixes to keep the energy high was an absolute masterpiece. We had our wedding on a Sunday, and the dance floor was still packed until the very last minute! Not once was it empty. Our guests kept coming up to us saying how amazing the DJ was as we danced the night away.

We even added a few songs that had just been released a week before the wedding, and Michael seamlessly mixed them in to fit our theme perfectly. He's so thorough with his craft liking fading in and out of songs at just the right moments. His timing just elevated the all the moments in the wedding as in the movies.

We also had Matt as our MC, and he was phenomenal at keeping the guests hyped -- whether it was during transitions or the wedding games themselves. We had both a Labubu and Pokemon card toss, Matt hyped the crowd up so much that both toss were incredible to watch that we also wanted to join in for the fun. They also have a unique game they play that let everyone join in the fun!

Overall, we can't recommend the 949 Studio team enough. They're talented, professional, and just genuinely great people. We loved working with them and chatting with them throughout the night. They truly made our wedding unforgettable!

Got everyone dancing!

Michael did an amazing job as the DJ at our wedding! Throughout the entire planning process, he was incredibly helpful, guiding us in choosing songs for the reception, dinner, and dance floor. He took the time to ask what kind of music we liked and made sure everything flowed seamlessly.

Their team also provided MC services, which made a huge difference for our families. Erin did an excellent job translating and keeping our Vietnamese guests informed and engaged during the night. They even suggested a few fun games that brought everyone together and made the evening even more memorable.

When it came to the dance floor, Michael absolutely killed it, he got everyone dancing, from the younger EDC crowd to the aunties and older guests. There was never a dull moment!

If you’re looking for a DJ who will keep the night smooth, fun, and unforgettable, I highly recommend Michael and Erin. They went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect.

Kept the energy going all night

We had such an amazing experience with 949 Studio for our wedding. Michael, our DJ, set the vibe right from the start and kept the energy going all night. You can tell he is very experienced and knows exactly how to get the crowd moving. He worked with us beforehand to build our playlists and gave great advice that really helped us make the most out of the evening. The dance floor was a blast thanks to him!

Matt, our MC, was equally incredible. He brought so much energy and knew how to hype up the crowd while also being very attentive during speeches. He had a great way of carrying each speaker's stories or anecdotes into the next part of the night, making everyone laugh and keeping the flow seamless. His presence made the night feel even more lively and fun.

Loved working with michael

We received so many compliments from our friends that our DJ killed it at our wedding! We loved working with Michael to curate the music for our wedding, from ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Michael started us off our playlists to provide some examples but really encouraged us to make the music uniquely ours. He also recommended we get the foam dance sticks which really set up the mood for all of our guests to come the dance floor. The dance mix was so smooth; it kept the dance floor alive throughout the entire reception!!

We also worked with Manli as our bilingual (Mandarin + English) MC since we have some family members who only spoke Mandarin. Manli did an amazing job with introductions and guiding our guests throughout the schedule. We are so content knowing that all of our guests were able to understand and participate in reception activities!

Our wedding was a blast - it would't have been this way without these two!!

Amazing Experience!

We had an amazing experience with 949 Studio for our wedding. Michael was extremely thorough, responsive, and attentive throughout the entire planning process. Michael and his team were great and understood the music genre and vibe that we wanted for our wedding. We couldn't be happier with how it all went!

Brian was our DJ and I can confidently say that our guests thoroughly enjoyed the music during reception and dance hour. Jason was our MC and he did a great job of getting our guests engaged and entertained throughout the night. The games and trivia they suggested were also a great addition to the evening.

My wife and I were SO glad we hired 949 Studios (Michael) to be a part of our wedding. Brought our Celebration to LIFE

From the moment we connected with Michael, we knew we were in good hands--but we had no idea just how much of an impact he and Brian would end up having on our wedding day. The two of them were absolutely phenomenal, and truly brought our celebration to life from beginning to end.

Michael went above and beyond throughout the entire planning process, offering expert suggestions, seamless communication, and a setup that was nothing short of flawless. The audio, lighting, and music choices were spot-on--and we couldn't have imagined a better soundtrack to our day.

Some personal highlights we'll never forget:

Michael's thoughtful edit to our first dance song, giving it a longer instrumental lead-in, made our dance feel choreographed and professional--when in reality, we had put it together only a few days prior!

His suggestion to do a practice dance during our room reveal ended up being one of our most cherished moments. Dancing alone in that space, with sunlight streaming in and everything finally done, was magic.

Throughout the speeches and trivia game, we noticed clever, perfectly timed music cues and MC commentary that showed just how present and attentive both Michael and Brian were. It felt like everything had been planned down to the second, when really it was just their talent shining through in the moment.

When we unexpectedly needed an extra mic for a surprise performance by my parents, Michael and Brian were on it without hesitation--making that moment seamless and unforgettable.

Brian was a standout MC--charismatic, smooth, and completely in sync with the vibe of the crowd. The games they had planned were fun, creative, and brought so much joy to our guests while giving them a chance to learn more about us in a genuinely entertaining way.

And then there was dance hour. Wow. The custom remixes, the transitions, the energy--it was next level. I couldn't stop coming up to the booth to tell him how much I was loving it. Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding DJ experience they'd ever had, and honestly? We agree. We're looking forward to telling our friends to book them for their own weddings--and we're hoping to be guests at those just so we can experience it all again.

Even the lighting and foam light sticks--which my wife was originally hesitant about--ended up being a game changer. The uplighting was tasteful and elegant, and the light sticks helped even the shyest guests feel comfortable getting out on the dance floor. It struck the perfect balance between classy and fun, and it was all thanks to Michael's thoughtful recommendations.

As we shared in a note to all our vendors, my wife and I wanted to surround ourselves with people whose energy and presence made the day even better--and Michael and Brian were exactly that. We felt like we were working with friends who were genuinely invested in our day and brought their full selves to making it special.

We wholeheartedly recommend Michael and Brian to any couple looking for a team that's not just technically excellent, but emotionally invested, collaborative, and fun!

Our biggest takeaway--and our top tip for anyone planning their wedding--is this: choosing the right vendors makes all the difference in creating the perfect day. Choose the ones who are truly invested in their work, who care deeply about you and the final result. At the end of the day, you absolutely won't regret having them there--because they'll show up and give 110%.

Truly Special

Mike is an amazing DJ and helped make our wedding truly special. He not only has incredible talent with editing and mixing (he even went out of his way to make a perfect edit of our favorite song for our first dance!), but also helped so much with emcee duties and the flow of the entire wedding. Best Decision EVER!

We got married on 3/23/2025 at Casino San Clemente and we decided to go with Mike and Jesse as our DJ/MC (Jesse speaks mandarin btw and was able to translate as the MC for our reception)... It was the best decision ever! From the very beginning aka our first meeting, Mike was super kind and gave a lot of good advice from his vast past experience as a wedding DJ/MC. He helped us curate playlists for our wedding based on the songs we liked and he did such a good job!

We last minute decided to have him set up a little bit earlier so he can play music as the guests are arriving at the venue and he kindly obliged. He's super easygoing and fun to work with. Our guests still talks about how good of a DJ he was because he created these mixes for the dance floor that'll surprise them. We highly recommend 949 studio!

Exceeded my expectations

We used 949 studio for their dj and bilingual mc services and both exceeded expectations by a landslide. Michael and Erin not only kept the crowed hyped but they were able to adapt and adjust to last minute timeline changes without a falter. We also had some non traditional wedding activities and they were able add just the right energy to enhance our vision. The playlist and vibes kept our guest partying to the last minute. I would definitely recommend 949 studio for any dj/mc needs. Not only are they professional, they were also personable and extremely pleasant to work with.

Best Decision Ever

Oh boy is this review long overdue...we were waiting for our photos from our photographer and this review got a little delayed.

We decided to go with 949 studio for our wedding and it was the best decision! They were our officiant, MC and DJ team. It was so nice to have all three come from the same company as it's one less vendor to coordinate.

It can be scary selecting a DJ as it's kind of tough to really know how the vibes will be without having used them before. So I hope this review confirms for you that everyone had the best time dancing and partying at our wedding. We believed music was one of the most important parts of a wedding and Michael really hit home run with this. He was so helpful through the music selection process and just picked up the vibes of the crowd throughout the night. We also had a K-pop dance routine and he got that on point with the grand entrances. He also met with us virtually several times and gave us some tips even if it wasn't related to music.

Matt as our officiant and MC was such a great choice as well. He carried this kind and sophisticated manner throughout the entire day and brought some humor too when appropriate.

When I have another event, I will definitely come back to 949 studio. If you are reading this, just book them. This is coming from a very picky bride

Kept People on the Dance Floor til 11:30pm!

Mike did such a great job at our wedding reception. We needed a bilingual Vietnamese speaking MC and he was able to find us the right fit! He has a lot of experience working with different venues and we were able to lean on him quite a bit when building our timeline.

Mike and his MC did such a great job and the event went together smoothly! Love that his mixes the songs we picked together and we were able to keep people on the dance floor until 11:30pm on a Sunday night!

Such a blast

Michael did such an amazing job curating and 'dancifying' our playlist for our wedding in December! He involved us in choosing all the music and made sure anything he added fit within our preferred genres. The MC service was great as well, he added a ton of energy to our reception and pumped everyone up. Michael's mix kept everyone on the dance floor all night and it was such a blast that the time flew by. One minute we stepped out onto the dance floor and the next minute it was over! Our experience was so memorable, and Michael as our DJ played a huge role in that! Thanks Michael!

Highly Recommend!!!

949 provided audio, emcee, and DJ services for our wedding. During the ceremony, they executed our playlist perfectly. They executed our planned entry to our reception with professionalism and excitement. During our planning calls with Michael, he mentioned that it didn't seem that we had any lighting. Had he not mentioned this, our dance party would have been a bust. During the dancing, they played our favorites and incorporated some of their own.

We have no regrets using 949 Studio and will recommend their services to friends having events in SoCal.

Incredibly grateful

Michael was an amazing DJ for our wedding. Leading up to the wedding, he had a calm presence and was very easy to work with. He is able to match the vibe that you are going for in your wedding.

In terms of the day of the wedding, Michael and his MC were incredible. I really want to highlight that the MC did an amazing job bringing up the energy of the wedding and responding to what the audience was giving to him. In addition, Michael really read the room and made sure that the music kept up the energy of the wedding.

Absolute DREAM!

Michael and Jason were an absolute dream! We were fortunate to find Michael and his team at the beginning of our wedding vendor search. Thankfully, he and his team were available on our proposed date, as my husband and I felt an immediate connection with him from the moment we met at our first meeting. From the beginning, Michael was incredibly attentive, reaching out to gather information about our vision, musical taste, and vibe we were hoping for. He made sure to review every single detail from start to finish to ensure everything went as planned. He truly spent so much time curating our playlists, which were perfect. We cannot recommend Michael and Erin enough! Michael, our DJ, was incredibly sweet and genuine during our meetings, taking the time to understand our vision and address any concerns we had. On the night of our wedding, he absolutely blew us away! His music selection and mixes were incredible --our guests couldn't stop raving about them. He has an incredible ability to read the room and keep the energy high, making sure everyone was having a fantastic time.

Erin, our bilingual Vietnamese/English MC, was just as amazing. She was so sweet and thoughtful, preparing translations ahead of time for the tea ceremony to ensure all of our guests could feel included in the celebration. Her presence was warm and engaging, and my family thought she was so adorable.

Nothing but amazing

Michael has been nothing but amazing! He has been such a big help throughout my planning journey. He's a reliable DJ that made the transitions in our wedding from ceremony, coctail hour, to the reception so smooth. Everyone also had a blast during our dance party hour! Highlight of our Wedding

DJ Mike was hands down one of the highlights of our wedding! From the start, the communication between us was spot on. He took the time to understand exactly the vibe I was going for--hip hop, RnB, and some great throwback tracks--and he nailed it. The music he played throughout the night was perfect. It had everyone vibing, from the cocktail hour all the way to the last dance. Multiple guests came up to me afterward to say how much they loved the music. We had the absolute pleasure of working with Mike for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. We discovered Mike through our wedding planner, who highly recommended him, and it's easy to see why!

Book while you can!

Cannot recommend Michael and his team more. They have all the equipment and experience to make your wedding feel like an epic celebration. We wanted the reception and after party to have a lot of energy, and they delivered. Michael spent a few hours with my wife and I discussing vibes for each part of the wedding. Arrival, cocktail hour, dinner, reception, and after-hours. He sent us song recommendations according to the vibe of each, and we removed some and added a lot. He helped us successfully go from soft and sweet, to more upbeat, to bay area, to edm and hiphop. Based off our tastes he was live mixing our recommendations with his own flair. He helped us craft an absolute amazing wedding. At the end of the wedding I heard comments like " The DJ was lit" "Who was that DJ? His mix of X was amazing." A few folks asked for his contact information because they have upcoming socal weddings as well. Book him while you can.

I needed a DJ for my wedding and 949 Studio was the perfect DJ. Michael, the owner, always takes the initiative to reach out to me to make sure I got everything I needed before my big day. His responses are quick and are within 24 hours. I felt at peace knowing that things will be handled when my wedding day comes. I didn't have to worry and Michael made sure I knew that. And because of these reasons, I strongly recommend Michael "949 Studio" to be your DJ for any events.

Matt (MC) and Brian (DJ) were assigned to be a part of my wedding day team. Both were welcoming and both were filled with energy. They made my wedding very memorable. The guests enjoyed the music and vibe. Thanks to them, my wedding day just gotten much better.

On top of that, their prices were very reasonably compared to other companies. With wedding expenses through the roof, it was nice to know 949 Studio still had affordable pricing.

We recently had the pleasure of having DJ Mike of 949 Studio perform at our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with the experience! From the very beginning, Mike was professional, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our special day perfect. Mike was incredibly flexible and worked seamlessly with my brother, who played live on guitar for our first dance. Despite us running behind schedule with everything, the Mike was attentive and provided everything we needed.
Mike asked all the right questions and provided us with playlists of songs that perfectly matched what we were looking for, allowing us to edit those lists to our liking. He made the whole process a pleasurable experience. The equipment was top-notch, and he provided lights and a custom booth with our initials, giving the event a premium feel at a very reasonable price. He also had great suggestions, like adding LED light sticks for dancers on the dance floor, which added an extra fun element to the night.
DJ Mike and his team were excellent at improvising with the schedule, ensuring the night ran smoothly even if someone wasn't ready for their part. He was very easy to work with and even included an MC who was bilingual in Vietnamese, which was a blessing for our bilingual family. Flawless Soundtrack!

We found 949 studio very randomly on Instagram while in the hunt for vendors and we are so glad we did! From the beginning Michael was able to convey a warm, fun and yet professional attitude with us as he got to know me and my (now) husband! Not only did he take his time to talk with us about our music tastes but also helped us to perfect our wedding timeline with some great advice, train one of my family members to be our MC for the night, and support us with making sure our venue would have the best lighting to fit the color scheme and theme of our wedding.

The little details and amount of work Michael did to help us set up for the wedding really put us at ease with planning.

Brian was our DJ for the night we know that the DJ holds the power to set the vibe for the event. Brian never missed a cue during our ceremony and reception, worked seamlessly with my cousin as the MC, and had great transitions when the dance floor opened up.

Above and Beyond!

When my (now) wife and I were planning our wedding, I was pretty open to everything from the food, to the decor, and even the location. So I pretty much left that all up to her to decide. The one thing I knew I wanted to choose was the music/DJ.

We must have interviewed at least 6 or 7 DJ's. From the very beginning Michael stood out to us. Not only was he genuine and easy to talk to, his process of getting to know our musical taste was far superior to the generic forms the other DJ's made us fill out. Needless to say, it was a pretty easy decision to hire him.

After choosing Michael for our DJ, he quickly sent us recommendations based on the conversation we had. These recommendations came in the form of separate playlists for every part of the wedding. These playlists included artists/songs we told him we liked as well as suggestions he thought we would like. I always say a good DJ will play the songs you want to hear, while a great DJ will play the songs you didn't even know you wanted to hear. We discovered a lot of new songs from these suggestions and ended up using them in our wedding. We were also able to remove and add songs to these playlists all the way up to the wedding. Such a fun process!

While we were already impressed with Michael's musical IQ, wedding day came and we were interested to see if his DJ skills were just as good. He did not disappoint. Having DJ'd a wedding myself, I knew that we were going to be a difficult client for him because of my wife and I's vast taste in musical genres. We asked for everything from soft instrumentals, to EDM, rock, 80's love songs, pop, country, and even Latin music. Michael never missed a cue during the ceremony, Cocktail hour, or special dances during the reception. Then of course during dance hour, he absolutely killed it. He was able to get songs/remixes I requested that weren't available anywhere else. The guy is a master of his craft and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anybody looking for a DJ for any event.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank Michael for making our day so special. He truly went above and beyond any expectations we had. We hope to be able to work together with him again in the future

Forever Grateful!

Thank you Michael! You helped to bring our dream wedding to life! The music you added to the ceremony, your open communication and support meant so much to us. The best feedback was that everyone loves the playlist. I was floating everywhere and that was always stated when I asked how they were feeling. Mike was AMAZING to work with!! From the moment we hired 949 to the day of the wedding, Mike helped us every step of the way to allow for the smoothest day ever! Making my DREAM wedding a REALITY!

I have nothing but great things to say about Michael and his MC Matt! My wedding was last Saturday and it went absolutely perfect! Best Decision Ever!

Working with 949 Studio was one of the best decisions my wife and I made for our wedding banquet! When we started planning for the banquet, my wife and I didn't even know where to start. Mike/Michael (the DJ) helped us build our playlists and gave really great recommendations as well for our banquet planning, and Matt (the MC) brought the perfect amount of energy and humor! I chose Michael because of the TLC he added in our initial conversation, he seemed to really care about my wedding experience assured me that he would deliver, and he did! Everyone had a great time on the dance floor :)
I especially liked that I was able to partner and curate a Spotify playlist with Michael. This made song selection super easy and seamless.

I would def recommend 949studios and hire them for future events.

Five stars!

Brian (our DJ) did a great job during our wedding reception on 12/02/2023. Everything went smoothly from the entrance song all the way to the end of the party. He played all the right songs based on the genres that we brought up prior to the reception (planning stage). Michael communicated well with us to make sure that Brian knew exactly what we liked. Brian was also quick to play songs that we requested during the dance/party section of the night. I highly recommend 949 Studio and Brian for all your events, and i would definitely call them again for any of my future events. Five stars!!!

Amazing DJ!

Where do we begin? Michael was so great! My wife and I had a Halloween themed wedding, and Michael came dressed up as Waldo (as in "where's Waldo?"). Everyone kept saying "DJ Waldo is amazing!" He was so professional, and did everything possible to accommodate our needs. He had suggestions for us based on the theme, kept us up to date with things, and overall was just a pleasure to work with. I'd definitely recommend him to anyone looking to hire a DJ for any event.

5/5 stars for 949 Studio!! We were so fortunate to have found such a great team on relatively short notice. Michael was wonderful to work with! super communicative and responsive throughout the whole process and helped us to make the perfect playlist for our wedding. He was very detail oriented and gave us helpful breakdown and suggestions of how to plan the night. We had Brian as our DJ and he was awesome! He got our guests up and dancing through the night and was always open to requests during the dance hour. The sound was great, and cutting our cake as the first chords of Kci and Jojo played is one of the things I'll always cherish from that night. Our MC was Erin and she was a perfect fit as she was bilingual in Vietnamese and English and kept everybody entertained. She made sure to check in on us and our schedule throughout the night which we very much appreciated. The trivia/musical chair game kept us laughing the whole time as well. Thanks to everyone at 949 for helping make our night so special!

Saved my wedding

Mike and Matt seriously saved my wedding!! Soo many things went chaotic day of and without them I don't think we would have made it through the night. If you are wondering if you should pay for the MC... Pay for the MC!! So many of my friends and family have asked me for their contact information as they went above and beyond to create an amazing experience among a sea of stress. Without them it would've been a different story. The custom Photo Booth was so beautiful. I can't sing their praises enough.

Forever Grateful!

949 Studios was really something for our wedding!! Nothing but praise for DJ Mike and his team. From start to finish they were on top of the process, from making sure the music selection for every step (ceremony, cocktail, reception, dancing) way was curated to what we were envisioning. But also being able to add in certain touches to our music selection that we could have never thought of just based on what the questionnaire and our must play songs are.

He was able to bring in custom signage for the dj booth which just elevates the table design vs just a plain table. He was also able to bring in custom mood lighting that changes the whole ambience vs just a dark room - that brought the party at night!

A lot of our guests complimented him on his selection of songs and mixing. Everyone had a great time with him on the decks. We will be forever grateful for him and his team for creating such a memorable night for me and my wife. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any occasion. You will not regret it.

Lastly pricing, what everyone really wants to know. Pricing. He was priced very competitively compared to the other quotes we got but he had the extras in that other companies charged so in the end he was the most competitively priced DJ in the end. BUT knowing what we know now. I would have paid more for his services in a heartbeat

We knew very quickly after meeting with Mike for a consultation that we wanted him to DJ at our wedding. Mike is not only professional with many years of experience DJ'ing both intimate and big gigs, but also very attentive to what matters to the couple. We had a diverse group of wedding guests with interests ranging from EDM, pop, oldies, country, you name it ... Mike's ability to read the room and vibe with the crowd was beyond our expectations. Our guests were all surprised by how seamless his set was all while catering to an insanely diverse group. We wanted to incorporate personal touches to our wedding such as an NBA themed grand entrance. Mike and our MC, Matt, didn't only accommodate this last minute request, but also gave great suggestions like adding a football/basketball toss in lieu of a garter toss. Which turned out to be a huge hit! To top it off, our venue contact and day-of-coordinator had nothing but positive comments about partnering with Mike/Matt too. We are so grateful and lucky to have found DJ Michael of 949 Studio! He truly goes above and beyond to make your wedding special and exactly how you dreamed it to be. Here is a list of highlights from his service!

1. He is a real DJ that creates unique and amazing mixes! Mike proved this right away when he sent us SAMPLES of what he would play for the cocktail hour, dinner, and dance! And he proved it at the wedding! Everyone had an amazing time and loved the music!

2. He was so accommodating and generous! Our venue had to be changed unexpectedly just 2 months before the wedding, and he was able to be flexible and accommodate the changes. We need more uplights and he was so kind to throw in a couple of free ones. And the uplights looked perfect at the new location.
3. He has great equipment, including the super cute personalized DJ booth and dance floor lights and uplights that match the music! And the music system sounds perfect!

4. He contributed great ideas to make the reception extra fun! He had an MC help with making announcements so he can focus on the music. He also created a really fun game that is interactive with the audience, which was a lot more fun compared to the usual shoe game. The game was a mix of trivia, musical chairs, and treasure hunting. He also had us do a large group picture before playing a banger to get the dance floor started!

Above and Beyond!

I want to give a big shoutout to DJ Mike and MC Matt for KILLING it at my wedding! These guys were professionals in setting the vibe and keeping the energy up on our big day.

WhenI first talked to Mike at the beginning of the year, he was such an easy person to chat with. He listened to what I had in mind and then sprinkled his professional wisdom and advice to help us create the perfect wedding atmosphere. What's even cooler was that he totally gets my taste in music, especially trance. Finding someone who's into trance is like finding a unicorn, but Mike and I vibed instantly when he mentioned he's an Anjuna fan. And when I told him I wanted "Treasure" by Above and Beyond for my bridal entrance, he was as excited as I was. Also, he curated a mashup for me and my dad's dance, and he was incredibly patient and accommodating through it all. Even those late-night emails got quick responses!

About a week before the wedding, we had a thorough phone call where Mike took notes on every little detail. It was all about making sure we were on the same page to prevent any mix-ups on the big day. On the day of the wedding, Mike really brought the party to life, especially on the dance floor! Everyone was grooving until the very end, and that brought me full of joy.

MC Matt was a legend too. Even when we had some last-minute timeline changes and unexpected hiccups, he handled it like a pro, making everything run seamlessly for the guests. His energy was high throughout the night to make the night upbeat and positive!

I can't thank these guys enough for going "above and beyond" to make our day extra special. If you're looking for a DJ and MC for your wedding, these guys are what you want to have!

To say they brought the party was an understatement. They MADE the party!! We were so happy to have Michael (DJ) and Matt (MC) there for our wedding. They provided us with so much fun on our big day and really made the wedding come alive. Michael gave us a preview of what his mixes were, and it was absolutely FANTASTIC!! There was never a moment our dance floor wasn't full of people dancing the night away! They aren't any ordinary DJ team, I really felt like it was an awesome club that all age ranges were able to enjoy. Highly Recommend!

Michael DJ-ed at our wedding last week and it was AMAZING! His custom LED lights and DJ booth really made the whole dance floor look so epic. Even though my husband and I were so busy that day, Michael tried to play all of our favorite songs when we did make it to the dance floor. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer on the dance floor to enjoy his epic playlist - we had too many family members pulling us to the side to take photos. All of our friends couldn't stop talking about how good the music was at our wedding and our wedding party was dancing the WHOLE night!

Prior to the wedding, Michael spent a good deal of time talking to us about our music preferences and working through the playlist together. He offered super helpful suggestions on grand entrance songs and talked us through the timeline/time-stamp of the first dance song, the father/daughter and mother/son dance song, cake cutting song, and bouquet toss song. We had a live violinist for our ceremony and Michael worked seamlessly with him to get the audio running smoothly too. The mic set up for the officiant and our vows was perfect too.

His attention to detail really showed through how flawless the music/audio was at our wedding. Honestly, it would be a pleasure to attend any wedding/event that Michael DJ's at, it's a guaranteed good time! Highly highly recommend 949 studios for your next event!

Amazing Wedding DJ and MC company!

On our wedding journey, we were so lucky to have found 949 Studio/ DJ Michael. From the first meeting, Michael was easy to communicate with, was punctual, responsive, and caring. It was clear from the first conversation just how passionate Michael was his work and desired for all the wedding guests to have a fun time. Along with this, he was open and flexible to our suggestions and worked hard to understand our needs. We had a Hindu fusion wedding. Music is like a time capsule and he does the best at reliving our youth and blending it with todays top hits. His transitions are seemless! He can play anything from old school hip hop to edm. We started off with hip hop but the party got lit real fast and the crowd needed something more upbeat so we ended with edm. I wish I could show videos of how his music brought the party to life. I was able to screen shot a photo of guests head banging on a Sunday afternoon. He definitely tailors the music to the needs of your party. Thank you for blessing our ears!

Vibing ALL Night Long!

If you’re looking for your DJ to give great vibes and your MC to lead the way, you’re in the right place! Mike immediately picked up on mine and my partner’s music preference and vision for the wedding and helped us craft a playlist to keep guests jumping all night long.

But there’s more to a DJ than just keeping the party alive. From the groom’s entrance during the ceremony, well into cocktail hour, and through the end of the night, Mike transitioned the events seamlessly into one another.

MC Matt was awesome, also. During the cocktail hour before we got whisked away, I noticed Matt talking to our wedding coordinator so that he could help announce seating arrangements, and tiny dinner details to the crowd. Another example I can think of is during our cocktail hour, Matt learned that I’m a hobbyist baker and immediately announced to the crowd that the bread being served came straight out of my oven that day! Honestly you don’t find that kind of enthusiasm from someone ‘going through the motions’.

One great little touch about working with 949 Studios is that they had very flexible payment schedules. A huge plus once the dozens of Zelle payments started making a dent in my bank account. My only regret about working with Mike and Matt was that I didn’t get to have a drink with them the night of - they’re two great guys who kept us vibing all night long.

Definitely Recommend!

This review is long overdue as we were married in February and just now getting the chance to write this.

My husband and I had several meetings scheduled with DJs in a span of two weeks and Michael was the third one we spoke to. We immediately felt connected to him not only as our wedding vendor but as a person and it was so, so clear his priority for us was to help us create the most fun wedding. He was so friendly, wanted to get to know us, and was just so genuine. It was also apparent to us that music is a lifelong passion of his.

My husband and I had very specific requests when it came to our music selection for our wedding. Michael was very helpful all along the way helping us curate the perfect playlists and very specific music edits we had in mind. He also seemed to really understand our quirks and eccentricities which made all the planning that much more fun.

When it came time for the wedding he made very valuable suggestions that I’m glad we followed. We definitely recommend the glow sticks because that helped everyone of all ages (including my four month old niece) feel like they were a part of the party. He was also great at reading the crowd and understood how to keep the party going.

Lastly, our MC, Matt, was fantastic. He had such an easy going and genuine spirit and seemed so natural. At the end of the night our coordinator from Modest Magnolia was also impressed by him and said he was one of the best she’s seen.

We definitely recommend Michael and Matt as a wedding DJ and MC. Michael was so great to work with all along the way, so organized, and so helpful with our requests.

My partner and I absolutely loved Mike and 949 Studio. He was there with us every step of the way and even prior to booking him, we just really enjoyed the vibe and the conversation with had. It was more like talking to a friend, rather than a vendor and my partner and I really appreciated that. He also helped with recommendations for other vendors and had check-ins with us during the wedding planning to ensure everything was going smoothly, but also just making sure we were doing okay. Incredible DJ

949 Studios was an incredible DJ to work with. Mike and Matt worked with us every step of the way to create an unforgettable reception! We held our Reception in March of 2023 at Five Crowns and they were professional, helpful in picking out music that matched my husband and my style, and let us have the fun/dorky/beautiful reception we wanted.

We originally contacted 949 about a year before our reception and they committed to us on a first come first serve basis. They did not require a deposit from us and we paid the day of the reception through the coordinator. They worked well with our day of coordinator as well.

They had suggestions and guidance for us when we weren't sure what to do for the father/daughter dance too. We brainstormed and they created a custom mixed song for me and my dad to dance to. They also suggested a really fun trivia game that we provided the prize to (a calendar filled with my husband and my faces).

All in all, hiring 949 for our reception was an amazing decision. They had all the right ideas, they were flexible, they were professional, and we could not have had the day we had without them.

Amazing DJ!

DJ Mike was amazing! I’ve actually been to quite a few weddings recently and he was by far the best DJ I’ve seen. He made sure the energy was always high and kept the dance floor was practically full the entire night. OH and his transitions? Killer!! 10/10 would recommend.

Turned the entire night around!

Mike is a great wedding DJ with his experience in the club scene, he knows how to match beats and will be a hit at your wedding. As a bilingual English Mandarin wedding emcee and having personally worked with Mike a number of times, I have seen him turn the entire night around with his amazing DJ skills. If you don't want your DJ just playing songs off of a Spotify playlist, then DJ Mike is the person you want to hire.

Simply Amazing

DJ Mike was amazing! I’ve actually been to quite a few weddings recently and he was by far the best DJ I’ve seen. He made sure the energy was always high and kept the dance floor was practically full the entire night. OH and his transitions? Killer!! 10/10 would recommend.

Over the Moon!

I am over the moon and very happy we chose 949 Studio to DJ at our best friends wedding after party. Mike had amazing mash-ups, mixed the songs (he doesn't put on your Spotify Playlist on auto), took special requests from our guests and played all of the bride and groom must-have songs. Everyone was very pleased, the music was a perfect vibe along with some great ambiance lighting. Thank you so much!

Just WOW!!!

Let me begin with wow... Just wow. Michael was always with us throughout the entire process making sure we had the right songs picked out for the right occasion. He would give us his insight but made sure we could have whatever we wanted. The dance floor was crazy packed which I never expected from my family. Meaning, Michaels dj skills were so good that non dancers, including myself and grandpa, started dancing it up. He gauged our interests and paired us with an amazing MC, young slick, clean looking guy named Matt. The nicest guy ever who made sure we were well taken care of and his charisma and energy throughout the night was great. Not a dull moment! Definitely recommend this company to anyone looking to have a great time! You both made our wedding memorable, appreciate you guys!

Was referred to Mike and Tiffany for DJ/MC services and they did not disappoint! All my guests couldn't stop talking about how good the music was throughout the wedding. Easy to work with and prompt to answer any questions we had ahead of the wedding day. With his extensive music selection and his technical DJ skillset, Mike curated live playlists that fit the perfect tone for each portion of the night; from cocktail hour to dinner to dancing, everything was spot on. Additionally, Tiffany was a fun and great MC, able to improvise whenever needed and did it with ease and charm. Highly recommend 949 Studio for any event.

Extra Special!

Just had my wedding this past weekend and 949 Studio made it extra special! Thank you Mike for adding the perfect ambiance with 90s, 000s, and edm hits that all my guests enjoyed! The ambiance lighting was the perfect touch and everyone had such an amazing time. If you are looking for a real professional DJ set or club mix for your wedding I highly recommend using this team.

Above and Beyond!

Mike was the best DJ I could’ve asked for at my wedding. He went above and beyond to make sure my wedding went smoothly and made the reception a blast. He followed up frequently to ensure my wife and I liked the music selections and the timeline for our wedding. His execution on the day of wedding was awesome. He prepared the dance floor setting with so many features and his DJing was on point. We got many compliments from our guests about how great Mike was. If you want a DJ who really cares about making your event memorable, I highly recommend Mike to be your DJ.

Amazing Job

949 did an amazing job. At first oven the venue layout I was concerned it would be difficult for guests to hear anything. But Mike was a pro. Not only was the music selection great but special performances sounded amazing. Very responsive throughout the entire process.

Legendary Set!

I am so grateful that my wedding coordinator referred me to Michael (Mike) at 949 Studio. Mike and I created 3 playlists for my wedding (cocktail, dinner, dance) and I gave him top 10 "must play" songs in each playlist and I kid you not the man delivered on my big day! Not only did he play all of the top 10 "must play" songs, the man literally played 95% of ALL of the songs I had on all of my playlist (I have a good ear for my favorite music). Yes, I am a huge electronic music fanatic and have a deep appreciation for mashup songs and creative live mixing on the dance floor. I've been to EDC, Coachella, Life is Beautiful, individual artist shows, and everything in between and the legendary wedding set I experienced on my wedding night made it to the top of my list. Mike played all of my favorite bangers with some sprinkle of other genres (alternative rock, R&B, Kpop) at my request while also echoing the sound of my favorite DJ Alesso throughout the night. If you are looking for the ultimate wedding DJ (who actually does live mixes and read the crowd) and want someone who will cater to all of your musical needs on your big day, then look no further than Mike at 949 Studio!!!

A DJ who cares!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with DJ Michael in the last several months. When I was searching for a DJ I was super stressed and overwhelmed with finding someone I could trust and work with. A lot of DJ studios are impersonal and are trying to sell you on a package. I came across 949 studios and the vibe was just completely different. If you have one conversation with Michael you can immediately tell that he is a humble and hardworking guy, so easy to talk to. I trusted him right away and from the start he became one of my most reliable and helpful vendors. You think you are getting a dj, but he is actually also like your therapist and wedding planner too because he has really great experience and input in the industry overall.

There are 3 things about my experience that really stood out.

I am an extremely picky perfectionist person. I have very specific tastes on music, with a lot of obscure music selections. Michael was very respectful of keeping me happy but also still providing very sensible suggestions on how to cater to the overall vibe and crowd. He also definitely knows his music and has a lot of skill. He ended up making me a special mashup of two songs I love! In short, he is a professional.

Secondly, I think of all my vendors Michael was the most responsive. He is the kind of vendor who will respond to your email or text within 5 minutes, rain or shine. Which is great for me as a bride but probably frustrating for his wife ;) I always felt like he was ready to address any issue, big or small.

Lastly, Michael really took the time to be present and evolve our relationship to ensure the finished product was exactly what I wanted. From start to finish we had really good ongoing conversations about tasks that needed to be completed and input on things. One week before the wedding Michael had a couple of calls with me to go line by line over my timeline to make sure everything made sense. My wedding planner didn't even take the time to do this with me and Michael ended up finding problematic areas that she should have found.

I think there is a perception that when you are hiring a dj you are just hiring a person to press play on the music. I wanted someone who loves the music experience as much as I do. Music brings us together! Michael understands this! He knows it is an extremely special day and will go above and beyond to make it as special as he can for you. Thanks Michael, I will miss working with you!

Beyond Expectations!

Michael and Lisa are always a joy to work with. I have worked with a variety of DJs, but what I most value in a DJ is someone who is detail-oriented, responsive, and flexible. That's the epitome of Michael. When you book with him, you can rest assured that you will have guidance throughout the entire planning process. From the very beginning until the very end of the wedding day, Michael makes himself available to answer your questions, to guide you through the music selection, and to happily offer his suggestions regarding the timeline structure to ensure all vendors are successful and the couple's expectations are met. Michael and Lisa always go above and beyond, especially on the wedding day. No matter how hectic it may be, Michael and Lisa are always composed, even if the venue's fire alarm goes off just minutes before the grand entrance. What I also value about Michael and Lisa is their attentiveness and respect for the timeline. Before any announcements are made, they double check and triple check the pronunciations of names and the timing of events. No matter where Michael and Lisa are placed, they truly are valuable team players who not only make sure they are doing their jobs well but also go out of their way to ensure all other vendors have what they need to do their jobs well. When needed and in cases when the day may be a bit behind schedule, Michael and Lisa will also help pivot accordingly. I do not have enough good things to say about Michael, but what I can say is he is definitely one of the better DJs I have had the privilege of working with. I will always recommend him.

everyone loved the music!

We had such a lovely time working with Mike and 949 Studios for our wedding. Mike was always prompt at responding to our questions. He is courteous, professional and has such a wonderful personality. He knew what we wanted and executed it perfectly. Everyone loved the music at our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier! If we could do it all over again, we would still choose him to be our DJ!

Dance the Night Away!

We hired Mike and Tiffany for our wedding on 6/11/22. From the beginning, Mike was always very responsive. He gave us a a music sample that included a bunch of throw back hits from the late 90s and early 00s. On our wedding day, he played so many good songs. Many of the guests stayed until the very end and danced the night away. Tiffany was also a very good emcee. Thanks Mike and Tiffany!

Thank you SO MUCH for everything you did for our wedding. I know I had multiple people come up to me and say the music was the best they've heard at a wedding ever! Your MC skills, your transitions, and the way you rolled with the punches (a drunk bride asking you to play Stars are Blind) more than showed not only your professionalism, but your passion for music. We loved how involved you were with the song selections, and you just really created the perfect vibe for the night! But what is most important and appreciated, is you are so kind. I have nothing but great things to say about 949 Studio. Michael and Tiffany were amazing as our wedding DJ and MC. The preparation and lead up to our wedding was very thorough and seamless- they made sure to guide us through what they needed from us. They really pay attention to all the details and we were thrilled with the results. Loved that they also gave us the flexibility to pick out our own music and they worked magic to mix them into their set. We really felt like the music and their setup were customized for our wedding, which made it really special. Amazing experience working with them and would highly recommend!!
