  Great Food, Amazing People

  I am having my rehearsal dinner at 790 this December and I am already so excited for it! I recently flew down to Florida to take care of everything, and Christine was such a delight to meet with. I'm not sure what I'm looking forward to the most, the view or the food! There are plenty of options to choose from, so no one will feel left out! I can't get enough of their muffaletta, but their hurricane chicken salad is my favorite! Also, shout out to Lauren for being so amazing! Hoping to have her working at the rehearsal dinner because she was so nice and fun! I'll update after the dinner!

  Unparalleled Service, Jaw Dropping Location, and CHRISTINE

  We spent months looking for the perfect reception venue for our January destination beach wedding in Destin. Our dream was something oceanfront, and we wanted something--different for our ethnic fusion wedding. We didn't just want an average venue, we wanted something unique, with some character and class, but it also had to be something we could afford, and with a staff that we could count on to help us make our evening magical. Enter Christine Paris and her extraordinary team.
  OHMYGOSH you guys, everything--every rave and praise and list of kudos--you've read about Christine is true.
  This woman was nothing short of a nuclear powered generator of sunshine, and positivity, and energy, and positivity, and curiosity, and encouragement from the very first day.
  We had so many things go wrong leading up to our wedding (everything from a wedding dress destroyed by a tailor, to all flowers for the event lost by FedEx, to a gas leak, to flight delays, to an ER visit, to a hit and run, and the list goes on), but Christine was such a powerful force of good the whole time, she helped us stay sane.
  She provided us measurements and layouts of the reception space, gave us ideas for other vendors, brainstormed with us on a menu that would work for our complicated guest list (everything from vegetarian to gluten free to halal), took our hand drawn sketches of our plans to use the space with a bright "Yeah! We can do that!", advised on places to find sales on linens, let us ship specialty drinks from Tanzania and the Amazon ahead of the event and kept them for us until our arrival, met with us and walked the whole room during our visit, and on our actual reception, came in on a day she wasn't scheduled to work, just to be there for us and coordinate with our DJ and Photo Booth vendors. She stayed long enough to give us both the hugest hug, and then her super-attentive serving team took over.
  The food was spectacular, the reception was the one part of our wedding where miraculously NOTHING went wrong. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful it was, and of course about that glorious cheesecake :)
  I cannot recommend this place or Christine highly enough. We absolutely loved working with her, and 790 on the Gulf is such a hidden gem. The views of the sunset through the floor to ceiling windows was an amazing end to our wedding celebration, and the kindness of the entire staff is something I'll never forget.
  We are forever in your debt, Christine and Team. Thank you SO MUCH.

Using the Inn at Crystal Beach (where 790 is located) was the best decision ever. Christine from 790 On The Gulf was an absolute pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough about her quick responses both on the phone and via email. Once we got to Destin we met with Christine and double checked all plans from the appetizers, bar, dinner food to the cake cutting. The wait staff did a fantastic job with our guests, Christine and the staff decorated the tables beautifully and we throughly enjoyed our time.
  Because it did rain on this day we were able to use the Summerchase Room at the Inn at Crystal Beach. This worked out perfectly. To reserve our venue we worked with Megan Ainsworth from the Inn at Crystal Beach. She was amazing and very accommodating. Thank you 790 and the Inn at Crystal Beach for making our day absolutely amazing!

  We hosted our wedding reception at 790 on 5/20/17...the wedding ceremony was on Inn at Crystal Beach's private beach and 790 is on lower level of the Inn. It couldn't have been better...a short walk from the Crystal Beach sands up to 790. I booked this venue a year in advance as May begins their busy wedding season. Christine was fantastic to work with. I cannot say enough good things as to how accommodating she was in our many requests. We had 24 total so they sectioned us in a semi-private room. It was very nice with beautiful floor to ceiling windows across the back facing the water. Is this a swanky venue? No not at all...but a classy, comfortable & intimate setting and that is what I wanted. As this was a destination wedding, this added a bit more complexity in planning-sight unseen. However I and my fiancé made a trip to Destin last September to meet Christine and have a tasting for menu selection (this was highly recommended ). We served the endless buffet and EVERYTHING chosen was amazing. The seafood gumbo was some of the best....and the Parmesan crab & shrimp dip for one of the appetizers was a taste of Heaven.We also served crab cakes, boiled shrimp, chicken fettuccine, Hurricane chicken, beef tenderloin medallions, salad and Corn Maque Chooux along with an antipasto platter. The food was kept at a consistent temperature and constantly attended to so that nothing ran low. It was all delicious and everyone raved about the food. We had an open bar and the drinks were excellent. The two servers we had were on top of it at all times and yet were like mice...you never knew they were around. Lastly, I enlisted the assistance of an employee for additional responsibility in setting up the reception decor and overseeing floral delivery, etc... I couldn't have done a better job myself...with clear direction she hit it out of the ballpark in making my design and vision into reality. Most of the guests said it was the best reception they had ever been to.

  Beautiful location to have a reception!! Fantastic service and wonderful food!! I couldn't have asked for a better place to have my reception. My wedding was a destination wedding and I spoke with their planner a few times on the phone and they were so accommodating and made planning my reception a breeze! Such a wonderful dinner!!

  We had our wedding reception at 790 on the Gulf and they did an excellent job! We are from Illinois and they had great communication planning the reception with us being 13 hours away. They were very flexible the day of our wedding. We had to move our wedding up due to the rain. 790 was able to move our reception up and inside to help accommodate the weather. For our large party, (20 guests) the wait staff did a fantastic job and the food was great. Thanks 790!

  790 was a great venue for our small wedding reception. Christine was amazing to work with - so helpful and shared great ideas. The food and setting were great, as were the servers. They were so accommodating. The venue is also a good choice because it has ample parking and is not overrun by tourists. We would definitely return.

  I can not say enough about this place! Christine was wonderful she answered all of my questions, I explained what I was wanting and she worked up a quote that was beyond reasonable! She delivered the food on time and hot like she said she would! The food quality was absolutely amazing and was the hit of the reception!

  I cannot say enough about this place! Christine at 790 was amazing at answering all my questions from afar through email and made such great suggestions! We ended up having half of their patio with string lighting and one long table. There were only 11 guests but it was still able to be a celebration! they allowed us to bring a speaker and play our own music and had a cake table set up. All with NO VENUE FEES! I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a simple small dinner reception but that wants to still have a cake and first dance and decorate like a real big wedding. added bonus, the food from the catering menu is amazing! everyone loved it! We had our ceremony right on the beach then headed up for a first dance on the patio, cake cutting and dinner! Also, the server was great and came by often to make sure we were well taken care of.

The 790 on the Gulf was a gorgeous venue with the most friendly staff. The food was delicious!! The drinks were great too! ;) What an amazing experience!!!   790 did a wonderful wedding reception for us. The food was delicious, all of my guests agreed on that! Christine took the time to set up decorations for us. The restaurant was picture perfect! We had a section of the restaurant partitioned off and we were still able to do all the traditional things that could be done at a private reception, first dance, cake cutting, etc. 790 has wonderful views of the gulf through the large picture windows. I would highly recommend 790 to any bride looking for a reception hall near Destin.

  We had our ceremony on the beach in front of the restaurant and our reception on the outdoor terrace of 790 On The Gulf. I live 8 hours away in TN and was in a panic to book a venue when my first venue fell through 5 months before the wedding. I stumbled upon 790 on the Gulf and couldn't believe how nice/easy they made it sound (and truly believe this venue/restaurant was 10x better than my original would have been!). I walked in with no appointment and was happily served 4 plates to sample without even asking. The terrace was beautiful and just what I wanted for my 75 guests- and the food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I booked it immediately. It was so nice having the ceremony and venue in one beautiful location. The restaurant owner, restaurant event coordinator, restaurant manager, and staff were all exceptional. They accommodated my every request with a smile and response of "No problem!" The food? Excellent. My favorite part of having a plated dinner was that the food was cooked to order, not pre-made and re-warmed. Each guest got to pick their meal without RSVPing their entree selections. I can't say enough good things about 790 On The Gulf, but I can say without hesitation that I would reccomend them in an instant!

The terrace was beautiful and just what I wanted for my 75 guests- and the food was fresh and perfectly seasoned. I booked it immediately. It was so nice having the ceremony and venue in one beautiful location. The restaurant owner, restaurant event coordinator, restaurant manager, and staff were all exceptional. They accommodated my every request with a smile and response of "No problem!" The food? Excellent. My favorite part of having a plated dinner was that the food was cooked to order, not pre-made and re-warmed. Each guest got to pick their meal without RSVPing their entree selections. I can't say enough good things about 790 On The Gulf, but I can say without hesitation that I would reccomend them in an instant!

  LuAnn was fantastic, she made my vision a reality!!! We made all the arrangements on the phone for my destination wedding, so we didn't meet or see the venue until a couple days before the ceremony. When we meet and reviewed all my visions and the plans for the wedding night.

  When planning, the caterers that I found online were expensive and the food on the menu didn't grab my appetite. A friend of mine in the food industry came across 790 and said the menu and price looked good. Unfortunately, their room was booked but they offered an alternative. We had them cater the reception at the pavilion - just drop off catering. All of our guests raved about the food. We unfortunately got to finally taste it when it was cold but it was still unbelievable. I can only imagine how wonderful it was warm! We actually went to the restaurant on the Honeymoon days to have it again. Unfortunately, the catering menu isn't available in the restaurant. We did try the Hurricane Shrimp appetizer and it was amazing. My husband said that was the only place we had tried that had really good seafood. The only negative for me (and this could just be because of my lack of planning) was I'm big on email and I wouldn't get a response right away or at all. Due to work, I'm not able to make a lot of calls during 8-5 and obviously weeknights and weekends are not good times to call the restaurant. But I still say it was worth it all for the scrumptious seafood!
