Had our wedding at the Hedge Gallery!! It was seriously so perfect I can't even express how grateful I am to have worked with Aireonna and Hillary at the Hedge Gallery to coordinate all the wedding details. We had about 74 guests at the wedding which was, imo, ideal for the space. Beautiful space, great people, would highly recommend. -

Excellent venue
We had our ceremony and reception here 8/9/25, and we could not have imagined a better venue. Our ceremony was in the RAMP Level; the lighting and smaller windows created a perfect romantic atmosphere. Cocktail hour was in the Pinball Lounge, and our guests had a blast playing games in addition to mingling. Our reception was in SMARTspace where the large windows provided beautiful light and created an open atmosphere. The space is large enough that there can be places for people to sit and talk if they do not want to be on the dance floor. Due to the nature of the venue, you can make the décor what you want without difficulty. David and his team were very easy to work with throughout, and the process was not stressful at all. We would choose the Venues at 78th Street Studios again for our wedding 100% of the time. -

We used the Ramp level for our reception and it was awesome. The venue offered so much value--from day-of coordination & assistance to ample time for set-up and clean-up to prep space and great photo locations. The space lends to a great party.
Only caution was that it got very warm by about 9:30 after people started dancing. -

We used this venue for our wedding reception. The staff at 78th Street Studios were absolutely amazing!! All their hard work, accommodations, and fantastic service provided us with the wedding reception I dreamed of. I couldn't recommend them enough. The fact we were able to bring out favorite food and drink vendors in was huge and made the experience even better. 10 out of 10 all around -

We hosted our cocktail hour in HEDGE Gallery and reception in smARTspace and found both venues perfect and beautiful for our wedding! The staff was super easy to work with, and we were able to personalize the space how we liked. Our guests loved the unique aspect of the venue -- definitely not a "cookie cutter" ballroom feel (which is one of the many reasons why we loved it)! -

I couldn’t recommend this venue enough. Not only is the venue space super customizable and unique, but their event team was full of helpful, kind, and knowledgeable individuals. Urban Revitalization Vibe was perfect for us
We LOVED having our wedding in SmARTspace. It's certainly a DIY space, and they made that clear from the start. That also meant bringing in our own caterers, decor, etc. It was almost certainly more coordination on our end, but we were really happy to be able to bring our own vendor team together. The space itself looked fantastic. We had about 225 guests and used long 8' rectangular tables. There was still plenty of room for a high table, dance floor, food tables, cake table, DJ booth, and Kids drawing area. We particularly worked on lighting and did simple table decor which looked beautiful as the evening skies darkened. -

We got married at 78th St Studios and it could not have been a better choice. Our ceremony and cocktail hour were in HEDGE Gallery and the reception was in smART Space. Hilary was amazing. She listened to what we wanted, was easy to get a hold of, had great ideas. She and her team were extremely helpful, and with her guidance our wedding ended up being gorgeous. Hilary made wedding planning easy. The venue is unique, and cool and so many of our guests complimented us on our choice and said that they had never been to a wedding like ours. We had an amazing time and are so happy with our decision. We had 110 guests and that was the perfect amount of space- although smART Space is larger and could have accommodated more people we did not feel as if the space was too big. 110 was the perfect size for our ceremony and cocktail hour in HEDGE. -

My husband and I recently had our wedding reception at 78th Street Studios (on the RAMP Level) and we are SO happy we chose this as our venue. We did things a little differently than the traditional wedding, and we had a hard time shopping around for venues that felt right for us. When we toured 78th Street, we were immediately sold. It was by far the most unique event space we'd come across in the Akron/Cleveland area, and the vintage Pinball Lounge really sealed the deal. We worked with David as our venue coordinator, and he made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish.
The venue offers three different event spaces, which you can really make your own with decor and vendors. What I really loved was the fact that each event space had a different vibe to it- Hedge Gallery was smaller and warm, SMART Space was larger and bright, and RAMP Level was a large space with charm. On top of that, the venue also offers a vintage Pinball Lounge for cocktail hour and it holds tons of old-school arcade games for your guests to play for free.
The staff at 78th was great, the space was incredible, and our guests still talk about how much fun our reception was. I highly recommend 78th Street to anyone looking for a unique event space for any size and situation! -

Laportia Sent on 06/05/2012This is a really unique venue which suited my wedding. Unfortunately, there were a dearth of reviews out there on the location. Perhaps, this will help someone else. This is a very expensive location with nothing pertaining to the event that comes with the cost. You just get a room. While they do have the capacity to supply rentals at a slightly reduced price than rental companies, for as much as it costs, I would think something comes with the rental. The in-house event planner, Hilary, is really nice and helpful. However, she runs a separate gallery. The pair that runs the large event hall were not really helpful and only really communicated with me regarding money. If anything, they forced me to make last minute rearrangements which set me back substantially in my schedule.
While I was busy going through the planning process, I thought some of the things they were asking for were reasonable and just wanted to get the day over with. It wasn't until my caterer stopped me the day before and asked "How much are you paying for this place?" and "They didn't give you that? Or help you set up with that, either?" I finally realized I should've expected better from my venue. Of course I had a great time. Mainly because at the end of the day, all that matters is your partner/husband and your friends and family. However, for as nice a venue as this place is, there are other locations in Cleveland that have as much character with better value, flexibility, and professionalism.
