Captured our moment

Mel was great! Arrived on time, dressed appropriately, and disappeared into the background. When we received the wedding video it was beautiful, breath-taking, and we both cried tears of joy. He was able to capture the entire ceremony and games, which no one else had accomplished. Once in a lifetime chance and he nailed it!! The music he chose was timeless but he picked up on our first dance song, and the other special dances with loved ones. We highly recommend him for his kindness, thoughtfulness, fun yet quiet demeanor, and his professionalism.

Mel is a joy to work with

Waiting to receive my film anytime now. Mel was amazing and so friendly and helpful! Him and David worked really well together to make sure that every shot was covered for both photo and video. I am eagerly waiting to see the magic of my day replayed.

So Flexible, does it with passion

Mel was so flexible to have a Facetime chat with us since we live out of state. He is so flexible with the hours and accommodating our needs. We felt that he did everything with passion. I am so excited to see the video for our wedding!

Mel is awesome!

Mel captured every special moment for us! His attention to detail is incredible! We debated wether to do video or not, and I’m so glad we did! It’s defintely a special memory to have and look back on! I highly recommend Mel!

4500 films did an absolutely beautiful job of filming our son’s rehearsal dinner with multiple cameras. The real expertise was the film that they created from the footage. I am lucky that my daughter is a professional film director and editor, and that she was able to quickly see the quality of work in some of the online samples they had posted. Honestly, I could not tell the difference while looking at different companies, but after seeing the finished work, I understand why she thought 4500 Films would be an excellent choice as a videographer. I highly recommend 4500 Films, they are awesome!!

Mel was AWESOME! So easy to work with and very friendly. Our video came out AMAZING and we could not be happier!!! I would strongly recommend using 4500 films for anyone who wants a detailed, amazing, recap of your wedding day.

Mel is AMAZING!!! His work was beyond stunning and he made our wedding day so special! He showed up got right to work, he knows his stuff and has the best equipment! All the other vendors and guests complimented him the whole day! I recommend the drone as well, it is a game changer, and well worth the money! We got a preview, then our video pretty quickly, he is professional and very very fun to work with! I would STRONGLY recommend Mel to everyone I know, your wedding is one of the most important days ever and he captures it so you have it for a lifetime! His prices are beyond reasonable for the quality of his work, and the attention to every detail that makes it that much more special! As a bride, I can tell you the photos and videos are the most important part of the wedding!! I was completely blown away by our wedding video, thank you so much Mel for making it possible to live that day over for the rest of my life!

Mel is absolutely amazing. He was so kind & an absolute blast at the wedding. Mel and his partner made sure to capture every sweet moment of our day. Let me say this... a lot of brides consider not having videography... yall.. it's a must! And 4500 films is for sure the way to go! They have captured something so precious to us. Something to that will allow us to relive that amazing day over and over. We loved working with them and would recommend them to any bride & groom seeking videography!

LOOK NO FURTHER! Mel and his team have been AMAZING throughout the entire process. We almost forgot we had a videographer at our wedding because he was just so discreet and out of the way the whole time. They have been completely understanding with all of my requests and questions and I would recommend Mel and 4500 Films to anyone!!

Mel was such a pleasure to work with. He captured our wedding day with amazing quality and most of the time we didn't even know he was there. The drone shots of our venue and first look made the video even better than we could have imagined. He surprised us by adding clips with our immediate family members giving us well wishes at the end of our wedding video. I watch the wedding trailer once a week and cry every time I watch it. I was undecided on hiring a videographer for our wedding but I'm so glad I decided to use Mel. We are able to relive our wedding day thanks to Mel's wonderful skills. We highly recommend 4500films for your wedding video!

Mel and his team were absolutely amazing! My husband and I weren't originally going to book a videographer, and I am so, so glad we did! From the first day of receiving and signing the contract, Mel was so professional and accommodating. On the day of, he brought a drone and we were able to get some amazing shots, included my husband and his party having a lightsaber battle. Mel went along with everything we wanted to do and had as much fun as we did! He definitely understood "us" as a couple, and when we received our highlight video (in a very timely fashion!) it was absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend 4500 films for your wedding videography!

Mel wenot above and beyond to ensure our day was captured flawlessly. He is so much fun and makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I will be booking all special occasions with him from here on out. We removed other details of the wedding in order to book Mel and I can honestly say it was completely worth it. I am a wedding photographer and have suggested him yo very 2016 bride. Book him now!

I had no idea what I wanted in a videographer for my wedding, but when I spoke to Mel at 4500 Films he knew his stuff and together we figured out what I wanted. Honestly, that’s what I needed. I wanted to know what I was buying and gave all my concerns to him. So, I hired 4500 Films the week of the wedding and I’m so thankful that I did. The price is fair and comparable to the other companies. Plus, he has a really cool Instagram Photo booth that turned out to be a hit at the wedding. The day of, I couldn’t have asked for a better person than Mel to shoot our wedding. He went ABOVE AND BEYOND his job description, helping make our special day that more enjoyable. He was super easy to work with (including all my vendors enjoyed him),punctual, helpful, reliable, willing to shoot anywhere (even stand in wet areas), gave awesome ideas for pictures and for the video, helped my photographer, helped fix the DJ equipment, helped me with my train in the grass (since it rained that morning), and had the best attitude! When you are planning your special day, you want a company/person like them. A company that can go with the flow and able to capture all those moments along the way. On top of that, I got my video back quicker than most of my other bride friends did!! I’ve watched it like 10 times within an hour and couldn't get over how well 4500 Films did. My husband and I highly recommend this company!!

I have absolutely no complaints. Mel was amazing from beginning to end. Drama free. I hardly knew he was there. My husband does not like photographs but could not say enough nice things about Mel, which is saying something. In face, he told me I had to write a review because he was so awesome. He took some amazing shots. I don't think he stood still hardly at all, he was constantly there to get video of everything he could, and clearly knew his stuff.
We also opted for the photobooth and the guests LOVED it. I'm so happy I got it, and it was well worth the cost.
I'm very happy with him and would definitely recommend him. HIGHLY recommend him. In fact, I wish I could hire him again.

A very happy bride!!!

Mel is the best videographer l've ever had the pleasure of hiring and he captured my wedding perfectly! He is both affordable and goes above and beyond to make your day special. I will be hiring him again for my baby shower or future events because he is the best of the best! He adapts really fast to changes and even suggests great ideas! He also gave me the videos way faster than we agreed upon contractually! I was expecting to wait longer but the turn around on deliverables was FAST! And it was great!!

Mel was so great to work with! Very professional and super nice guy. He had us redo a few things (i.e. did the sparkler exit twice) to make sure that he got the shot which I really appreciated! He seemed to always be right there capturing the moment, without being too much in-your-face. He used a drone for some shots outdoors which was so cool! One of our guests (whom I am a bridesmaid for next year) left the wedding with his business card because she was so impressed with him; and I'm looking forward to hopefully working with Mel again. Haven't seen the video yet, and am so anxious to receive it! Would definitely recommend 4500 Films. Thanks Mel!

Mel did a fantastic job! We really enjoyed working with him! He definitely knows his trade and right to work when he arrived for our wedding. The highlight video was amazing and we got so many compliments on it and he got it to us just a month after the wedding! We are so excited to see the final full length production!

Started of great then changed

My experience with Mel started off great but has since turned into a negative experience. Our wedding date was 7/11/21 and we did receive our montage video on YouTube fairly quickly. Mel started off responsive and then steadily declined. We have yet to receive what we have paid for. It has been 7 months since our wedding. In our contract is says we would receive what we paid for in 6-8 weeks. I understand if things get busy, however we are not receiving any communication at this point.

I'm so glad for all the other couples who had great experiences, but sadly my wedding video is AWFUL. Bad audio, bad shots, bad lighting, just bad. There's a terrible echo during my entire ceremony. Our highlight video is great, but the rest, what a disappointment as a bride. It's so bad, I'm ashamed to show it to any family or friends :( And of course, you have to pay in advance, so our money is gone.

Very disappointed with Mel. Didn't get my wedding videos until 4-5 months after the wedding and when I did only one cd worked. Got a second set, it was missing content. It's been 4 months now and he still hasn't fixed it. Haven't heard from him and it's hard for him to reply back. Anytime I call he is busy and says he will look into it. He has never apologized for all the mistakes, I wish I would've used someone else. I do not recommend him!! If you are reading this please check your email or give me a call!

Do not recommend

I hired Mel Davis from 4500films for two weddings (2022 & 2023). Paid in full but faced long delays, poor quality, and missing deliverables. The 2023 video had the assistant in the background, and I had to wait years to get what was promised. Still missing items. Communication and response are poor. Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

we have had the worst experience ever with 4500 films. we hired a photographer and videographer through him for our wedding. While video was good to average for the price, the main issues is his professionalism specially regarding the photographer he provided as part of the package. we paid about $3000 for the package. He assured us that he is going give us a good photographer and as part of the deal 4500 would not have to process any of the photos as i am a photographer myself and I can do it myself better than anyone.
Ont the first night, during the first program, I learnt that the photographer does not even know about how to use ISO!!!!! all photos were grainy and taken with 3200 ISO!!! on a Canon t5!!! (low end camera). Next day the photographer from 4500 brought a canon 5D mark III from a friend. Mid program he did not have batteries for his flash (did not tell anyone). i noticed it and asked a friend to give him some.
then 4500 provided the photos about 8 weeks later. i did not realize how unfortunate we could be. as bad the lighting were in the pictures, ~90% of the pictures were OUT OF FOCUS.
I reached out to 4500 films, told them that i cant fix out of focus photos. I told them that my wife is crying (she Paid the videography and photography costs herself, not her parents). I told him if he has any honor he should return the photography money. 4500 in return kept on telling/lying to me that its my fault that i cant fix these OUT oF focus photos. he said he is going to get the photographer to fix it for us. He stopped responding to our calls at some point. The wedding was on July 2016, and now its July 2017. He ruined our wedding photos because of greed. probably went out and got the cheapest amateur he could find so that he can most of the package money to himself.

you guys will be amazed that 4500 had the audacity to lie to my face even after seeing my portfolio.

Absolutely terrible. I can't put into words how terrible the correspondence is. The videos are mediocre. My biggest regret of my wedding was booking Mel. Absolutely horrible. I can't put into words how disappointed I am that I wasted money on this man. We were told a 12 week turn around.... here were over 20 weeks out and no DVDs or responses. May have to get legal involvement.
