Joel and Sammy were fantastic to work with from our first phone call! When we met Joel to do our engagement shoot, we knew we had the dream team. On wedding day, Joel and Sammy were an absolute joy to be around! They kept the vibes high, family photos rolling, and took great candid shots throughout the wedding. Joel and Sammy shot our wedding in Jacksonville and we genuinely can't recommend them enough. From the very first meeting, they made us feel less like clients and more like close friends, and that comfort shows in every single photo. Everyone looks relaxed and genuinely happy, which is exactly what you hope for but rarely get.
My wife wanted an editorial, Vogue-style look for the day, and they delivered exactly that and more. We just got the full album back, and it's even better than we imagined. They captured the big moments and the small in-between ones we didn't even know were happening, and somehow every shot feels intentional. We've gone through it more times than we can count already.
Beyond their obvious talent, what stood out was how they treated everyone around them. They were warm and patient with our families and guests all day, and they kept things moving. The whole experience was seamless.
If you're getting married in the Florida, book them. We're already planning to work with them again, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. -

Our wedding day would not have been possible without 28 North Photography. These two are people you want to know! Joel and Sammy take their craft seriously and they are seriously good at it! They were calming, creative, and fun throughout the day. They work to fully understand and honor your vision for the day and capture moments you’ll cherish. I did not have to think about our schedule because they knew it and every photo that we wanted during those moments. I am in awe of how perfectly they captured our day. I will be looking back at these photos for a lifetime. One last thing I have to mention- they follow through on their commitments which is SO important when booking multiple vendors. They were on time, even early, for all meetings and so quick to provide a preview & our full gallery. Truly cannot recommend them enough for your day! -

Joel, Sammy, and Emma from 28 North were hands-down the best choice for our wedding. After interviewing several photographers, it was immediately clear that their quality, professionalism, and genuine care set them apart.
They guided us through engagement photos with patience and flexibility—even when we had to change dates and location due to weather. That preparation made us feel so much more comfortable and confident going into our wedding day.
We also added on their behind-the-scenes third shooter, Emma, who captured content on iPhone throughout the day. She quickly became one of our favorite parts of the experience—her eye for candid, in-between moments gave us memories we’ll cherish forever.
When torrential rain hit, the team adapted seamlessly and kept shooting, delivering some of the coolest rain wedding photos we’ve ever seen. Their talent for lighting and composition shines in every environment.

So I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid in a wedding with Joel & Sammy and at the time I wasn’t even engaged and I told myself I want these 2 to photograph my wedding one day! You think I’m kidding, but my fiancé and I literally booked Joel & Sammy and our wedding venue on the same day- making sure they had availability. I can’t even begin to tell you how much they exceeded our expectations!! It’s not even their amazing work, and TRUST ME it IS amazing- it’s them as people and the absolute joy and pleasure it was to work with 2 people who love each other, love what they do, and their #1 priority is to make sure you have the most perfect day. Their organization is top notch and the quality of their work is perfection. Our bridal party and families could not stop raving about their work, but also just them as people. Could not recommend a better vendor to work with. -

Joel brought out the best in us and our guests!
Joel at 28 North Photography was an integral part of our perfect dream wedding day! Ahead of time he provided us with the support we needed to think through the many options for what and how to capture the day. He was organized, on time, and thorough. Through every step of the wedding day, he provided calm, clear directions with the kindest demeanor that even some of our camera-shy guests were happy to be photographed. We just knew he was getting great shots, but we were unprepared for how stunning the gallery actually was. We and our guests have been thrilled with the photos! It will be impossible to select just a few to print and frame. We are so grateful for his expertise. We highly recommend Joel for your special day!

Hire 28 North - They're Awesome!
My wife and I hired 28 North to photograph our wedding in May based upon a friend's recommendation, and wow am I glad we did! Joel and Sammy were excellent from our initial contact, all the way through to the final delivery of the photos. Their website is nicely designed with a clear and concise investment guide to help you pick the correct package for your wedding. Their communication was professional but friendly and super prompt. Their questionnaire was really thorough and their follow up to us submitting our answers made it obvious they actually read what we wrote.
On the day of our wedding, Joel and Sammy were total super heroes. They were incredibly friendly, dressed perfectly, totally fit the vibe of our wedding party and guests, and worked absolutely non-stop. Their ideas for poses, locations, and lay-flat shots were perfect with nothing that seemed trite or cliche. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about how awesome our photographers were -- we agree!
28 North sent our preview photos to us at 10am the morning after our wedding. Unbelievable! Their selections were perfect and their editing was a great without being too heavy-handed. Their gallery website is nicely laid out and easy to share with your friends and family as well as convenient to download the full-res photos for yourself.
We received the rest of our photos (over 7GB worth!) less than three weeks after our wedding, which is an amazing turn around time! We absolutely love all of their photos, they managed to capture exactly what we wanted from all our posed shots, and fantastic candids from the reception that perfectly captured the personality of our guests. Truly, we couldn't be happier.
It's worth mentioning that our ceremony hall was a room with mixed lighting -- warm tungsten light from the lights in the room with a wall full of windows letting in a bunch of cool daylight. This was a big reason we hired 28 North. In their sample galleries from other weddings they've shot at our wedding venue, we noticed they managed to deal with the challenging lighting situation in our ceremony hall really well. I'm happy to report it was no different for our wedding, they photos of the ceremony are perfectly white balanced.
Again, we're THRILLED with our photos. Our family and friends love them, and so do we. Thank you, Joel and Sammy, so much! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 28 North Photography to anyone. -

My husband and I got married this month and 28 North Photography was hired to do our professional wedding photos. Not only did we receive all our wedding photos quickly but they were perfect and exactly what we dreamed of.
This company has amazing communication with their bride and grooms and care about all the little details that are important to them. They captured all the important moments and made sure to get a lot of the photos that we were wanting with special family members. They were so sweet on the wedding day and made us at ease as we took pictures before and during the wedding.
A friend of mine was telling me recently that they hardly even noticed the photographers at the ceremony because of how unobtrusive they were. They did a fantastic job and we will cherish our wedding photos the rest of our lives. Thanks again 28 North Photography!! -

Joel and Sammy are the dream team! We put a lot of time and energy into choosing our photographer, knowing that capturing our wedding day was our top priority-- and we’re so glad we chose this dynamic duo! A few months before our wedding, we did an engagement photoshoot with Joel, which allowed us to get acquainted before the big day. Joel put both of us at ease and we truly enjoyed spending time with him for our photoshoot - it was like hanging out with an old friend. Joel was so easy to connect with - he was friendly, yet professional, and he gave great direction. He was also very strategic when it came to playing with light and capturing raw, heartfelt moments that felt natural, and true to who we are (never too staged). Our engagement photos were absolutely stunning and we were so excited to use them for our Save the Date and wedding website. We received so many compliments!
Leading up to our wedding day, Joel and Sammy sent over a questionnaire asking all about our family and wedding party, which photos we absolutely wanted to capture on our wedding day (all of the settings, family/ friend pairings, etc.), as well as how we wanted our wedding day to feel and what we were most excited about. The questionnaire was extremely thorough and thoughtful and it was evident that Joel and Sammy care deeply about bringing your vision to life and capturing the most important aspects of your wedding day.
On our wedding day, Joel and Sammy brought such great energy, they knew all of our friends and family by name and they never missed a beat. We had so much fun with them and so many of our wedding guests RAVED about how incredible they were throughout the entire day/ night. They were a major highlight!
Just a couple days after our wedding, we received a preview link with the most beautiful photos from our wedding day! They were so fantastic and we couldn't believe the quick turnaround. 3 weeks later, we had our full collection. We couldn't be happier with the way our photos turned out and it was so special to be able to re-live our wedding day and feel all of that same magic.

From our very first interaction, Sammy & Joel were nothing short of wonderful. They were so incredibly kind, supportive, and went above and beyond to be helpful throughout our entire wedding day.
One of the things we appreciated most was how brilliantly they managed the schedule without ever making us feel rushed or stressed. Simply the best!
Joel and Sammy were absolutely incredible! The photos they captured were stunning. My husband and I don’t usually love being in front of the camera, but they made the entire experience fun and effortless. From start to finish, they were fantastic communicators and genuinely wonderful people to work with.
Before the big day, they provided a detailed questionnaire that, while thorough, made everything run incredibly smoothly. They managed family dynamics with grace, knew the names of all 25 members of our wedding party, and made sure every requested photo was taken at the most convenient times throughout the day. They also helped keep everything on schedule, which was a huge relief.

Sammy and Joel were amazing from the start! Since getting to know them, they've been nothing but kind and ready to make our wedding day the best it could be! They captured the moments that were planned (portraits, ceremony kiss, bridal party photos, etc.) and the moments that were not (random laughs, candid smiles, and warm hugs). One thing about them is that they will be involved and ready to take charge when they need to (i.e. posing for portraits or family photos) BUT will also step back and document moments like a "fly on the wall!" Their style is timeless and they balance the artsy photos with the classic ones so you get the best of both worlds. The amount of intention behind every photo that we received was superb. Not only are the moments captured, but they were captured beautifully! They made it a point to take so many photos of us and our family (needed and beautiful) but also were so good to take photos of our guests so that WE could remember who was there with us on our special day to celebrate! As a second time father of the bride, booking 28 North was our first priority! My daughter, Jayme, was fortunate enough to work with Joel and Sammy at her wedding so when my daughter, Julia, started planning her wedding we knew 28 North were a must have! We made sure they were available before we committed to our date or venue...it was that important to us to have Joel and Sammy photograph our event.
If you are planning a wedding and reading this review to help decide what photographers to hire... just book them now! There are none better... period. The quality of their work is second to none and working with them during the event is like having your closest friends at your wedding as your photographers and they just happen to be the most professional, ridiculously talented photographers on the planet. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Joel and Sammy were by far our favorite wedding vendors that we chose. My husband and I had confidence in them since day one for these reasons:
They were personable, kind, and responsive leading up to the wedding. Their communication was very detailed and personable, making us feel like we were their only client. They provided engagement shoot and wedding day guides that cover every detail that you can possibly think of, giving honest feedback and great suggestions.
They are PROFESSIONALS!!! I’ve worked with and observed many newer wedding photographers who have big personalities and make the day about themselves, or getting the perfect photo. Joel and Sammy were the opposite. I felt like my husband and I got to live our best day ever and Joel and Sammy came along side us and captured it without stealing any of the attention. They had such a graceful presence, being directive when necessary, but also going along with our flow. This only comes through years of experience and confidence in their field.
They were very flexible and bought us back time when we were behind schedule, still capturing everything that we asked for.
They’re genuinely pleasant to be around. It’s important to pick good wedding photographers because you spend more time with them than anyone else on your wedding day. We felt comfortable being ourselves and even pausing for a break when we needed one. Sammy even went out of her way to get us iced coffee during the cocktail hour because she knew it was important to us. They made an effort to get to know our bridal party and family, so by the end of the night, they felt like friends and family to us.
Of course, the photos are STUNNING!! They speak for themselves! They captured the most precious candid moments and I barely felt like I was ever posing for photos. We’ve gotten so many compliments on our album.
If you’re debating between photographers, chose Joel and Sammy! They will absolutely be your favorite wedding vendors, as they were ours! -

The Best Decision!

We are from New York City but got married down in Ponte Vedra, FL in September 2024 so we chose 28 North before meeting in person. Wow did we make the BEST choice… working with Joel and Sammy couldn’t have been better. We would give more than 5 stars if we could! Prior to the wedding weekend, they were so helpful in developing & finalizing our “vision” for the weekend. When it came to the weekend itself, they fit right in - in the best way - and produced breathtaking pictures. Literally, we had numerous people say these were the best pictures they ever saw. Sammy and Joel checked off every box for us. They were so easy to work with! They are kind, professional, and SO TALENTED. We did our engagement photos with them and they turned out so beautiful. It gave me confidence that they are the right choice for our wedding day. Sammy and Joel both have an easy going, calming presence- perfect for 2 nervous wrecks like me and my husband! It did not feel like a business transaction at all- we were able to feel relaxed and natural. I felt comfortable reaching out and asking questions. I know they have so many other clients, but I felt like I was their only one. Every question they not only answered, but gave me additional resources and recommendations since they are so well connected in the wedding industry. All of our other vendors knew Sammy and Joel- and they would all light up when they hear 28 north was the photographer for the wedding. That says a lot about how good your photographers are! They were a bit over our budget- but we knew they were the one for us. We interviewed with so many - and 28 north just stool out and was the one we kept going back to. So my husband and I compromised and decided we didn’t need a videographer, and just hire 28 north for photography. Well to our surprise- Sammy and Joel were secretly recording while taking photos the whole day! They made a beautiful wedding video for us as a surprise. Wedding Photography
Joel and Sammy are the dream team!! Our wedding was absolutely beautiful and the way they captured our day truly was perfect! Not only are they fantastic photographers but they are both so fun and caring. They provide so much assistance prior to the wedding date, they will help you with basically anything you can think of! On the wedding day they made taking photos so fun and always cheered us on which was so sweet! They also knew every immediate family members name and the bridal party which I think is amazing. They took the time to recognize them and made us feel like we knew them forever! Now to talk about our photos, they KILLED it. They are stunning. Our highlight photos came back in 48hrs like they said and it wasn’t a small amount of photos it was a little over 100 photos! Then all of our photos came back in about 2 weeks! Hiring Joel and Sammy at 28 North Photography was easily one of our best decisions we made for our wedding. Highlights: SUCH awesome enegrgy, incredible photos, making my husband and I (naturally awkward in candids) look stunning, and we received our pictures so timely!
Joel and Sammy were willing to travel to us for our engagement shoot so we could have it done at a spot more meaningful to us. They made sure we had so much fun in our photos looking nice as well as letting us be creative. My husband and I are not super familiar being in front of a camera but they made it so easy, fun, and natural.
Then our wedding day and wedding photos.... I could not have imagined having any other photographers and being nearly as happy with the experience and with the outcome. Sammy did more than just be a photographer, she helped me with my veil and both of them were able to laugh with me and lighten the stress. They both know what they're doing and take the stress away and get everything done. They navigated all of our family photos, even though we have very non traditional family groupings. They had fun with us, it felt like having friends there and they managed to get the perfect poses, locations, and action shots.

The Absolute Best!
I have no idea where to start... Joel and Sammy are 2 of a kind. They give a whole new meaning to what it means to be a "wedding photographer". Our entire wedding day they were our hype squad and made us laugh even during the moments before when we were nervous. The morning-of I was stressed, fussing over my hair, and anxious...the moment Sammy and Joel arrived I felt at-ease and we had so much fun which showed throughout our photos. The best photographers!
If you’re looking for the most talented photographers on the planet, look no further! I’ve known Sammy since college and have known for years that when the time came I wanted her and Joel to be our wedding photographers. They were the only photographers we reached out to.
They were so accommodating in scheduling an emergency mini engagement photo shoot for Todd and I. I was scheduled for surgery and only had a short window to take engagement photos. Joel and Sammy made Todd and I so comfortable during our shoot. We can both be quite awkward while taking photos and so having someone who was able to give us the direction we needed for poses and smiles was crucial.
Moving forward to our wedding day they were by far the easiest of our vendors to work with. Communication was very open and clear and I felt so confident going into our wedding day. Having gotten to know us a little better our wedding day was a blast! We had so much fun taking all of our photos and not a single special moment was missed.
I wish we could do it all over again, and can’t wait to ring Joel and Sammy when it’s time to take some Maternity photos😉 -

Where do I even begin. Joel and Sammy are one in a million. They not only took the most gorgeous photos all wedding weekend, but made it so fun with their infectious personalities.
Let me back up--Nick and I met Joel and Sammy while they were photographing my brothers wedding. After meeting them, getting to know (love) them, and then seeing the finished product of my brothers wedding photos we were sold. We knew we had to have them for our rehearsal dinner and wedding at TPC in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
Leading up to the wedding day, they were responsive, thoughtful, kind, and truly a joy to work with. Then, on wedding day they captured every moment and made us feel like the most special people in the world. They are the dynamic duo that every bride and groom dreams of having on their wedding day--even helping with things that fell outside of their job description as photographers.

You need 28 North at your wedding!
We were an out-of-state couple who found 28 North via social media and we fell in love with their photos the minute we saw them (but just having good looking photos isn’t everything….28 North is the WHOLE package). Because we lived out of state, we weren’t able to do an engagement shoot with them, which initially made me nervous, as this is typically when you first get to know your photographers. But all these fears went away the minute we met Joel and Sammy on our wedding day….it felt like we had known them forever (the fact that they’re Gator fans helped). Joel and Sammy are kind, loving, joyful, hilarious, and passionate. They were fabulous to work with from the day we booked them - their communication was prompt, they were organized with our timeline (working with our wedding planner), and they helped our day run smoothly. They made taking photos fun and didn’t make them feel like a chore on wedding day. AND our wedding party was so complimentary of how quick they were at snapping wedding party pics, while still giving us quality photos, as sometimes wedding parties quickly get tired of taking photos the day of. Stop what you are doing and book Joel and Sammy now! They were the only photographers I reached out to and was only interested in booking them for our wedding because of how amazing their work is! To start my husband and I were late to our engagement photos due to traffic which really stressed me out but once we arrived Joel and Sammy were calm, reassured me that everything would be perfect, and made the experience fun. I knew from that day we were in amazing hands for our wedding. Like many people, we were unsure how to pose for photos but since they are a husband and wife duo they can easily guide for posing for the perfect shots. Throughout the planning experience Joel answered all our questions and gave great suggestions about the timeline and listened to all the shots that were important to us. I have a large family so I was worried on wedding day family photos would take long and be disorganized. Joel took charge of the moment and we got family photos done so fast and didn't miss a single one! The majority of our guests were from out of state so it was important to us to have them included in photos. Our reception dancing photos are amazing and we have received so many compliments because our guests have photos of themselves and that does not happen often at weddings! Another aspect that was important to us was capturing the details, EVERY small detail was captured and it will help us relive the day over and over! Joel and Sammy are a ray of sunshine to be around! When my husband, JT, and I got engaged, Joel and Sammy were the first vendors we booked. Yup, booked them before our venue....because we loosely based our wedding date around their availability. It had to be them, we always knew that. We used to be photography hobbyists ourselves years ago, so we knew that photo and video would be our priority in the wedding planning process. They even put our prospective date on hold for us as I ironed out venue details (we had a few potentials, but I had my heart set on a specific one). We also booked our videographer, Brandon Kari per their recommendation. I loved the idea of having a photo and video team who had previously worked alongside each other.
I was fortunate enough to book both my preferred venue and photography team.
We ended up booking their top package because you can never have too much coverage, or too many photos.
Our engagement session was the perfect introduction to getting comfortable in front of a camera, as me and my husband HATE attention. Joel and Sammy exude such radiance and calmness, that even when you feel vulnerable, you feel at home. They gave us plenty of direction, and demonstrated poses with each other if we did not understand what they needed us to do. You can tell they love what they do, and that they are still head over heels in love with each other. That kind of energy is contagious and helped us really embrace the love we felt during our session. We had 2 locations and 2 separate outfits photographed, and we still ended early (Even though JT and I were late, thanks to Orlando traffic.)
Leading up to our wedding day, they were extremely easy to get in contact with (either by email or text). They also sent over an extensive questionnaire that asked us everything. They really aim to capture and preserve the feelings you experience during a wedding and want to know the ins and outs of what you, as a couple want to prioritize when capturing photos.
On our wedding day, everything went flawlessly. JT and I ended up having us and our wedding party get ready in the same location. I thought it would be inevitable that we'd see each other throughout the morning as prep was ongoing, but Joel and Sammy kept us separated while capturing both bride and groom prep. They even had the men out of the house before I put my dress on and did a first look with my bridesmaids. Sammy is a woman after my own heart because she LOVES details. I poured my heart and soul into curating the perfect detail box (Invitation suites, save the dates, perfume/cologne, shoes, rings, florals, ribbons, etc.), and I received some of the most gorgeous photos of them all put together.
Because we did a first look, we were able to get a majority of our photos done before the ceremony even started. This allowed for more one on one time with each other, and we even got to enjoy cocktail hour with guests.
We let them have complete creative freedom, and really let them run with whatever they wanted. Our venue had so many unique spots for photos (including a bathroom), so we got a variety of locations in a singular space. We even got to take photos in downtown Hyde Park on a busy Sunday afternoon.
The photos we received from them absolutely exceeded every expectation we ever had. JT does not show emotion easily, so I was skeptical on whether or not he'd show any during our wedding day. Well, he cried twice. Once during our first look, and then again when reciting his personal vows to me. Each of those times are now perfectly preserved in photos. Those moments mean more to me than can explain. He'll get misty eyed by looking at specific photos of us/me.
As Joel and Sammy might say...we let our love run wild, and they were there to capture every moment of it. This powerhouse of a couple will sweep you off your feet and will become your best friends if you let them. They'll laugh with you, cry with you, and will cheer you on. You pour your heart and soul into planning a wedding, and you absolutely deserve to have a photography team who does the same. And they do. Every. Single. Time. -

Joel and Sammy are absolutely incredible! From the first time I talked to them, I knew my photographer search was over and I had to have them for our wedding! Even though we didn't meet them in person until the day of our wedding, it felt like we had been friends forever! They have the most comforting, cool, and fun presence and will show you any poses you want (they'll even pose together to show you, which is so cute and gives you a feel for how you'll look.)
When we got our pictures back 2-3 weeks later we were in awe!! They captured some of the most special moments in ways we never expected and their style is such a timeless classic that we will cherish for a lifetime! We were also blown away at the number of guests they captured at our reception and the quality of the reception pictures. The day goes by so fast and the dancing is a blur so it has been very special to look back and see all our family and friends around us.
Joel and Sammy are everything you want in your photographers and I can't recommend them enough!

My wife and I went with 28 North to shoot our wedding and there’s only one word to describe them….breathtaking. From the beginning of their photography coverage both Joel and Sammy were just amazing. They are two of the coolest, genuine human beings we’ve ever met. The first time we met them was on the wedding day but it felt like we knew them for years.
Their encouragement, direction, and light heartedness made our entire wedding day even more special. They give you the proper guidance and are crazy flexible to work with. They were so helpful in “posing” us while still making it feel natural and fun!

The photographers you want and need!
Joel and Sammy could not have done a better job documenting the intimate, fun, special, and dream moments of our wedding. They were always in the right position to capture every moment without ever being in the way. They made Ali and I feel so comfortable throughout the whole experience which allowed us to be ourselves and make for better photos. From the first zoom session that we had with them, we knew Joel and Sammy were our “kind of people.” We connected with them on such a genuine level we knew they were the couple that we wanted to photograph the most special day of our lives. We loved our experience with them so much that they will be photographing my sister’s wedding later this year. Joel and Sammy at 28 North photography are two of the best photographers and people we have ever met. They have an amazing package and their photography style is phenomenal. They were very thorough in all of their communications and provided as with so many recommendations and advice that was absolutely priceless throughout not only the photography aspect of things, but wedding planning in itself. They were able to quickly and effectively show us the poses that they wanted us to do which allowed us to get through more photos in the time that was allotted. They worked extremely well with our videographer, Lupinek Productions, which was super important to me (I have heard/witnessed horror stories of videographers and photographers fighting over shots and not vibing well with eachother, which can definitely put a damper on the vibes for your wedding day). They also have a non-profit organization called Saving Grace in Uganda that they are very involved in which just adds to how amazing these two are. They have provided us with images and memories of the best day of our lives that we get to treasure and even moments that we didn't know we missed of our wedding day. I had many people say "Oh my gosh there are so many beautiful images." Adding them to your wedding day is an amazing decision and one that my husband and I are extremely happy that we made. -

Patient, organized, and uplifting in their approach - the perfect storm on our wedding day
Where do I even begin? Besides capturing our best angles and avoiding imperfections, (a very noticeable cut on my left hand) Joel and Sammy managed to grab moments that set mine and my husband's hearts on fire. They captured the little moments from me talking to my 9 year old niece and cousin after the ceremony, to me head banging on the dance floor — both authentic parts of my personality lol. They delivered me a photo of me sharing a goodbye hug with the mother of the kids I used to nanny for. She has watched me grow up teenage years until now a bride — seeing that photo felt like a full circle moment, and I will forever hold it dear to my heart. During the reception, they saw my husband coming to kiss me during the “it was only a kiss, how did it end up like this?” part of The Killers - Mr. Brightside, and they captured the big energy surrounding that moment in time — which now is one of our favorite memories from our wedding. Joel and Sammy were patient, organized, and uplifting in their approach the entire day, which felt like the perfect storm for us. We are beyond grateful to have these photos and and even more, memories of our wedding photographers exhibiting positivity, professionalism, and genuineness on the most intimate day of our lives so far. I have labeled myself as a crier for some years now as my career is emotionally driven in mental health — I did not even cry on my wedding day. Receiving these photos made me feel like I was reliving my wedding day, and the tears finally came.
I vigorously researched wedding photographers for months before finally landing on 28 North Photography, and I can confidently say that they completed my wedding day. I listed my top 5 companies with prices, editing style, personality, reviews, etc. I even reached out to a few couples who had used each company. 28 North was my top choice because their work is so personal. I could see the personality in each couple they've worked with and this led me to realize they were the best choice. This company has left my husband and I with better memories than we could have ever dreamt up on our own. It truly does not get any better than Joel & Sammy!!
I get emotional just thinking about what to write, because there truly aren't adequate words to express how incredible these two are, as photographers and as humans!! Joel and Sammy photographed my best friend's wedding about 5 years ago and left such an impact on me (as a bridesmaid at the time), that two days after I got engaged, they were the very first vendor I reached out to!! My hope for every bride looking to hire them, is that they're available for your date because I can confidently say this is the best decision you'll ever make when planning your wedding. Joel and Sammy bring such a light and a comfort to your wedding day, they capture the raw and emotional moments so delicately and the high energy, sweaty moments on the dance floor with such an electric energy! We also received our entire wedding album... 6 days after our wedding... INSANE!! The dedication and love these two put into their work shine through in their photos. Perfection
Joel and Sammy are the best of the best! I am so happy that we hired them before they were booked out for the year! When we hired them, not only did we absolutely LOVE their work, but we also loved that they give back and go on many mission trips. It makes us feel good that our money is going towards good people that do good things. Post wedding, we can say that their work speaks for itself! They are so kind and good making you feel very comfortable, and they are an amazing duo! Joel will tell you exactly how to stand and what to do to get those shots that you see on pinterest, so that you can get as many beautiful shots as possible without having to think about it! A true professional. I love that their photos are bright and clear, they won't be out of style in 10 years.

Where do I start? We found Joel & Sammy after we saw photos from a wedding we attending. Joel & Sammy are by far the most AMAZING and easy going photographers we have ever worked with. They made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day and did not rush or force anything. They are so personable that you feel like you have known them forever and their pictures are the most beautiful photos I have ever seen! They went above and beyond our expectations and I am so happy they photographed our wedding, they really captured all the fun we had. Their pictures allow us to relive our wedding day. We can't say enough amazing things about Joel and Sammy! They left us SPEECHLESS when looking at our wedding photos! First and foremost, the turnaround on our photos was the most efficient we have ever seen or known. Earliest we hear from friends is 3-4 months before they have their full gallery, this team sent ours in less than one month! Our friends and family are still losing it over just our wedding album, incredible!
THE PHOTOS.... All the emotions came back going through this in a way neither of us expected. Going through each other's getting ready photos felt like we were there living the moment and looking back. We are blown away at the moments captured and the quality of images. It took us two days just to digest the photos and take it all in. A major takeaway was also the photos of all our friends and family and those sweet moments. It's crazy how fast things move that day/night and there were a few people we weren't able to grab a photo with. But Joel and Sammy gave us the best gift without even realizing it by managing to get beautiful, candid, and heartwarming photos of all our guests and we can't express enough how much that means to us. We felt like we were able to give back to our guests their own moment of our special day and we are so incredibly grateful for that. Truly.
Not only this, but the day if everything flowed naturally which resulted in the most beautiful, natural photos of us interacting. Nothing felt forced or awkward or like it didn't feel right taking the photos. It was like we were hanging with two of our friends, joking around and chatting throughout the entire day. They kept things moving efficiently and calm for us so we could enjoy the most important and intimate moments. Joel even lent the groom a better watch band because we forgot to bring a nicer set and Sammy grabbed an adorable photo of the two of them laughing as they swapped bands, love it!
We could go on and on about how amazing these two are. If you are looking for the BEST photographers in the game, stop searching - you already found them! You will not be disappointed, as a matter of fact they will blow you and your expectations away.
