Exceptional Experience
My husband and I chose 20th Century Theater because of the price, location, ability to host the ceremony and reception, on-site chef and kitchen, valet, on-site DJ, kind staff, and very friendly management. We highly recommend this location!-

Best Venue in Cincinnati!
Everyone at 20th Century was amazing to work with! They let us party as long as we wanted to and really made sure the entire day was special. The food was so good and the atmosphere was perfect for our day. We were so happy we chose this venue and would recommend it to anyone! -

The beat most unique place
20th Century Theatre is the perfect place for a couple trying to think outside of the box. It has such a unique look with a totally laid back vibe. The venue coordinator, Lindsey, is very responsive and willing to answer any and all of your 100s of questions and DJ MARK is truly a master of his craft.
If you are someone who likes a one stop shop kind of place and hate seeking out several different vendors, 20th Century has so many added conveniences to make your wedding the best experience for the couple as well as the guests. The food is really good! We also utilized the valet parking, lighting package ( which I strongly suggest if going for a party atmosphere), DJ mark for our late night music, and their linens.
We also had a band Which Mark provided all of the sound engineering for. Needless to say our wedding reception ended up being a fabulous concert for 240 people. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and I can’t even count how many compliments across the board we had from our guests. CHECK THEM OUT!!!!!!-

Best decision ever
20th Century Theater was the best decision we could have made for a venue choice. Lindsey was very responsive and helpful during the planning process and we were never worried about something getting done that we wanted. We also went with the in-house DJ, Mark, and he made our wedding super fun and organized.
The food was awesome and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We had the ceremony there as well and one of them even helped fix my train before walking in because all my bridesmaids had already processed in! It was the absolute most fun place. The photo booth was also a blast and kept our guests entertained all night!
Highly, highly recommend -

Wow, 20th Century ended up being the perfect wedding venue for us! Lindsey was wonderful to work with. She answered all of my emails promptly and was so helpful. The pricing was incredibly reasonable, and there were no surprise charges. I love that the 20th offers so many different services - they provided dinner, bar, DJ during both the ceremony and reception, valet parking, and lighting. I highly recommend the string Vincent lights, they really looked amazing against the brick! Mark (the DJ) was just fantastic. He kept the energy up the whole night! All of the event staff were so kind and gracious throughout the day. We got so many compliments on the food too, and we went with the most basic menu! You will NOT be disappointed if you decide to get married at the 20th. -

We held our reception here and could not be more happy with the way it turned out! Everyone was so friendly and so helpful! The food, venue, willingness to help, staff, everything was top notch. We used their DJ, Mark S, and he was outstanding! He not only did fantastic at the reception but he also came out to our outdoor ceremony venue and did the music there too! They saved us with getting a generator for the ceremony venue, they saved us when our rehearsal got rained out and let us hold our rehearsal at 20th, they all went above and beyond to help us at every turn! Whenever any of my friends or family get married, I will ALWAYS recommend 20th Century Theater. We had so many compliments on the venue and friendliness of the staff. Everything was absolutely perfect! -

Our wedding was amazing! The staff was SO great, and the food was SOOOOO good. I want to recommend booking the DJ, Mr. Santangelo. He will make the night and the music amazing. He is such a great DJ, and I received so many compliments about him. The uplighting was beautiful. His wife runs the photo booth you can add as well, and that was the highlight of the kid's night. Everyone loved being able to take as many photos as they wanted, and receive a print of all of them right on the spot. Mark, the owner, was very kind and ensured we had everything we needed. Lindsey, the coordinator, always answered my silly questions and made sure everything was taken care of. One of the staff managers, Kat (sp?) even took the time to help me get some mac and cheese & lipstick off of my dress after diner. That was so kind of her to take time to help me with that. The whole staff was kind and courteous. The open bar was on point, and carried all the beers that I requested, and more. Everyone was just amazing, and I am so glad we chose 20th Century Theater. I wouldn't have changed a thing! Thank you guys, so much! -

We can't thank everyone at 20th Century Theater enough for all that they did to go above and beyond throughout the planning process and on our wedding day. The lighting, the music, the food, the service- everything was spectacular and beyond our wildest dreams. We've had dozens of guests tell us that the food at our wedding was the best food that they have ever had at a wedding! Lindsey was so easy to work with in the planning process- she was extremely responsive and helpful. Every time I met with someone at 20th, I could tell that the only thing they cared about was giving me the wedding of my dreams- and they seriously delivered!
20th Century thought of all sorts of little details- like providing a relaxing room upstairs forour bridal party to chill before the reception with appetizers and drinks available. They were so quick to offer to supply extra votive candle holders and any supplies we needed for decoration. Beyond all of that, I was incredibly impressed with how reasonable the pricing was for all of the services you receive. They are a one stop shop! The atmosphere was so perfect for a celebration, and a big part of that was all of the work and preparation that the 20th Century Theater put into the night.
We used Mark Santangelo as our DJ (through 20th), and we couldn't have been more thrilled with how he MCed the event and with all of the music he played. All of the music was so spot on to what we wanted for the cocktail hour, during dinner, and especially for dancing. I am always the girl who requests a million songs from the DJ- but not once did I go up to the DJ booth to request a song because everything was so perfect. Our guests had an absolute blast, and we stayed dancing until early in the morning!
I would highly recommend 20th Century Theater to any and every bride! -

20th is the most fun, accommodating, and perfect venue ever! My wedding was simply perfect. They were so helpful and always kept in quick communication with us. I loved the place because you get the most bang for your buck. I LOVED how it was basically a one stop shop! It made everything so easy and not so overwhelming! Mark their DJ is so awesome and he really cares about everyone. He was so kind and caring. I would recommend this venue to everyone who wants a non boring and unique event! -

My daughter held her wedding ceremony and reception at the 20th Century Theater on 10/30/15. The staff is awesome! They were so accommodating. She had a Halloween themed wedding reception and did not want a "traditional" hotel ballroom feel. The staff here bent over backwards for her. After the ceremony there was a cocktail hour in the lobby while the room was flipped for the reception, which they did quickly and efficiently. I have to give a special shout out to Mark Santangelo, amazing MC and DJ, he kept the party going and everything ran so smoothly and on time! Mark you ROCK!!The chef at 20th is also amazing! We had a plated dinner that was delicious, hot, and served on time. Our guests were served the correct meals and they were very complimentary. Thank you 20th Century for making our night!

My wedding was PERFECT and the 20th Century theater was part of the reason why. They are SUPER accommodating, flexible and extra friendly and professional. Their package of DJ, production, photography (engagement session included), videography, and photo booth is the BEST deal ever. I saved over a grand versus gong with outside vendors and the products are second to none. Mark Santangelo is GREAT at what he does and was a phenomenal DJ and MC. I would recommend this venue to any bride looking to have the wedding of her dreams!

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the 20th Century Theater, and our guest had an incredible night as well. It was so easy to work with everyone there leading up to our wedding ceremony, and really appreciated having so many in-house options for food, alcohol, and music. 20th Century was an incredible venue for not only our wedding ceremony but our receptions as well! Not only was the venue beautiful, and the food fantastic, but it was affordable too! The staff was easy to work with and was able to arrange anything that we wanted for our wedding. Their house DJ was amazing as well. He made the entire evening go smoothly and kept everyone on the dance floor! I can not imagine having gotten married anywhere else. There's not a single thing that I would have changed! -

The owner and staffing at 20th Century were the most awesome and professional people to work with. They granted all request with a smile on their faces. It was always an I can do attitude. They created an atmosphere of love and joy for the wedding. The owner went out of his way to create a trapeze to hang the cake from the ceiling. It was the most amazing structure I have ever seen to hang a cake. The venue was very accommodating, the food was delectable, the wonderful service was never ending! I would contract with 20th Century for all future engagements where I plan to entertain people. -

20th Century is the ONLY venue you need to make your event a 10! They book up early because they are indeed that awesome. We worked with the chef to create an unforgettable meal that our guests are still raving about. The staff works non-stop to make sure everything is how YOU want it, not telling you HOW you can have it. Mark the in-house Music & A/V manager was remarkable. He has so much fun and such a great attitude it seems just like he is a best friend joining in the celebration. Four words...they make it happen. -

I would highly recommend the 20th century theater for a wedding ceremony and reception! Our wedding was absolutely amazing, and the staff there is so responsive and helpful. I really liked that it was a one-stop shop. I rarely stressed about planning my wedding, because everything was already there and they were extremely responsive to my requests. They provided the food, bar, set up and clean up, and I also used their DJ and photographer. I had so many compliments from the food, it was absolutely delicious. Their bar prices were very reasonable, especially considering what an amazing beer selection they had. Mark Santangelo, the DJ, was absolutely wonderful. He did everything he could to make our special day perfect! People were dancing into the wee hours of the night, and he took all guest requests. We had a movie themed wedding, and he was extremely accommodating to finding the perfect soundtrack songs for the cocktail hour and dinner. The photographer, Kristina Santangelo, took wonderful pictures and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. She was with me almost all day, from the salon to the end of the night. I had so many guests tell me that my wedding was unique and fabulous! It was truly a wonderful experience. On top of everything else, they are extremely reasonably priced. For such a beautiful venue and such wonderful guest service, I was so impressed with how much this place actually charged for the event! Weddings are expensive, but this was by far the most reasonably priced I was able to find when I was researching locations. They don't try and nickel and dime you, and you end up paying exactly what they tell you from the get go. You also get the theater all day and as late as you want, so there was no time limit for when you can decorate or how long the reception is. I cannot say enough good things about the service and venue, I would highly recommend the 20th century theater and it's in-house vendors! -

Imy husband and I were very out of the box people. We showed the nightmare before christmas during our reception. So we wanted to go with someone that would be flexible and boy did we find just that. Everything they did from the organization to the food to the photo booth to mark the dj! I loved everything they did for us. It is a very neat venue and you will not be disappointed. I still 5 months later have people tell me it was the best wedding they have been to. Thanks all of u there at the theater for giving me the wedding of my dreams! -

My daughter held her wedding and reception at 20th Century. We were extremely pleased with how both events turned out. Throughout the planning process, Lindsey was very responsive to all of our questions. Mark, the DJ, was great. The food was delicious and everything looked beautiful. It actually had kind of a magical feel with the little white lights. I would recommend 20th Century! -

This venue provides dancing area, chairs, tables, linens, china, food service, music, lighting, Private bar/changing area, marque for your special message, Large bar for your guests, custom orders for alcohol, Private food tastings for your menu before the date, the list goes on and on! This is a family owned business and I had a wonderful experience from planning the details with the event coordinator, having a day of wedding consultant for last minute details, the DJ Mark Santangelo absolutely blew it out of the water with the amazing songs he played (my husband was supposed to get the lit together and that got forgotten). There were small issues as will happen when you have a wedding, but they did everything they could to make our day as easy and uncomplicated as they could from setting up early, assisting in tear down the next day, letting us party till 3 am, serving us hors d'oeuvres in the private area for the wedding party upstairs, and having special wines for the Bride and Groom and guests by request at very little extra charge. -

This place is gorgeous and unique, and was a fantastic venue for my wedding. In addition, they offer catering, DJ services, photography, and a whole lot more, so its almost like having a wedding planet without actually hiring one. The food was great, the party kept momentum the entire time, and honestly I had to do next to nothing. It was fun and easy to work with everyone there and I highly recommend it. -

20th Century Theater was phenomenal as our wedding venue! Really, we just can't say enough good about them.
Every single person on the staff was incredibly nice and accomodating to us, our wedding party and our guests. I wish I had caught all of their names. They were so patient, relaxed and flexible with us all. Especially when we had to come back the next morning to find our lost car keys (we found them!) and load up the rest of our items.
Lindsey answered all of our emails timely and with helpful information. It was a little scary planning a wedding from 500 miles away but she made it painless.
Mark Santangelo did lighting that was beyond what we could have imagined. The venue looked like a movie set. It was exactly what we wanted.
The owner Mark Rogers was amazing to us. He really cares about how you feel and that everything goes the way you want it to.
The food was incredible and people are still raving about it. The servers were wonderful and the bartenders were fantastic.
The venue's prices are very affordable and you get a lot of bang for your buck. The extras they offer are also great. We had valet parking, a champagne toast for all guests, and uplighting.
All of our friends and family are still talking about how much fun they had and some guests are even planning to have vow renewals there. We have had a lot of parties in our time but this was definitely the best party we have ever had. We could not have found a more perfect place for our ceremony and reception. -

I loved them! Mark has an in-house caterer, and we worked together to create a fantastic menu to accomodate some seriously picky eaters.
The theater was amazing~we barely had to decorate because of the lighting, and they had the room switched from ceremony to reception so quickly!
We also took advantage of the "Friday Night Wedding Special", so we nabbed the place for only 750 dollars, which enabled us to splurge more on the bar and the food. -

The 20th Century Theater is the BEST place to get married at in Cincinnati. The team there is so helpful and every decision was up to me. They truly believe that it is the bride's day so they will make anything happen to please her! The venue looked absolutely beautiful and my guests would not stop raving about the food. Overall, it was more money than I initially planned on spending, but it was worth it! So many of my guests told me it was the best wedding that they had ever been to. -

20th Century Theater was amazing! We were incredibly lucky to find them. Definitely the best value around. For the cost to rent, we got our own message in the marquee, an abundance of friendly and professional staff, and a great atmosphere. Lindsey was fast in responding to any questions we had. There was plenty of staff the day of the wedding to help with anything we needed. The theater is gorgeous and very vintage-feeling, which was important to us. We paid extra for the lighting package(definitely worth it), but didn't need to pay extra charges or fees for anything. The cost was laid out for us from day one with no surprised. I would recommend this venue for anyone planning any formal affair. They were amazing. -

The versatility of this space was evident in how it was easily transformed into a lovely church setting for the wedding ceremony and then rapidly turned into an inviting dance floor and dining area while guests enjoyed the wonderful appetizers served in the entrance space that also offered fun decorating options! The guests were so impressed! The staff gave support and freedom to decorate as we desired, offering a wealth of experience in helping us carrying out our wishes. The only challenge we had was getting the sound level low enough to allow meaningful dinner conversation before the dancing began! It was a night to remember and the venue provided an incredible backdrop for the photos! -

Amazing wedding venue!
The 20th Century Theater was amazing to work with! They were extremely accommodating with us postponing our wedding due to the pandemic. Even though our wedding was smaller than originally planned, they still worked to make our day amazing!
Mark and Lindsey were great to work with and helped us plan every detail. Mark S was an amazing DJ and everyone had to much fun at our wedding! -

I could not have asked for a better place to have a young, fun, and unique wedding than the 20th Century Theater. Everyone told us how much fun they had at our wedding, how unique it was, and how awesome the food was. The venue and the catering was very competitively priced. We were having a budgeted wedding, but we visited and looked everywhere. Their catering was so good that it was actually better than caterers that charge twice as much. It was so convenient to have them caterer the food and set up our wedding, it was just one less place to have to call and keep up with. The staff was so friendly, they kept complementing how beautiful our wedding was. The only incident we had was that their planner was on maturity leave and they had no organization without her! Thankfully she came back in time for our wedding though! They mis-booked our tasting, and a couple other things, but they did make up for their mistake in the end. The venue was just beautiful, and spectacular for the budget. Mark, Carry, and Lindsey were so friendly, i am glad to of had them be of such importance to our special day. -

Pros:
- Extremely flexible: whatever you want to do, they will do what they can to help you do it. Also there's no strict time limit, so you won't get kicked out of the venue. We were there until at least 2 AM. Also, I didn't like their vegetarian options for the dinner entree, but they were very accommodating and open to suggestions from me. We ended up doing Spanokopita, which turned out to be a huge hit with our guests.
- Great Service: on the day of the wedding everyone from the servers to the bartenders to the valet were very friendly. I used to work weddings as a banquet server and I was accustomed to poor attitudes among the other servers, but no one seemed to have this attitude- or at least they do a great job of hiding it!
- Food and bar package: the prices for the catering were very reasonable and I got very positive feedback from guests. The chef was willing to work with us to create the perfect menu. The bar package was great too. They have a large selection of beers and then let us select two more for them to bring in.
Possible Con (it worked for me, but may annoy others)
- Lindsey and staff were very laid-back, which I appreciated, because it made me feel less stressed. We had a pretty informal line of communication open at all times. I liked being able to email her whenever. However, if I were more a type-A bride, I might be annoyed by the lack of formality and pre-planning. (we didn't really nail down all the specifics until the week prior)
-Parking: There really is no convenient parking, so you have to buy the valet package.
- Location: It's located conveniently close to Xavier University, but not near any decent hotels. We were very disappointed by this because we didn't want guests to have to drive too far after the reception.
This site is great for those looking for...
- Unique venue
- Vintage feel
- More intimate setting
- Live music

This venue is an old movie theatre that was turned into a concert hall/wedding venue. The light is something out of a movie. 20th century theater was my dream venue and it made my dream wedding a reality. When talking to the owner about do's and don'ts he said "You can do whatever you want because it's your day and we will take of the rest." It's a great place with great staff and awesome food. p.s. Do the DJ package or video. Mark Santangelo will take care of you! -

I didn't have my ceremony here, but this was my reception venue. It was a blast! The staff did an excellent job! I couldn't of had a better reception. It was the greatest party of my life and all my guests said that it was the time of their life and a moment they would never forget. The food was amazing and so was the service of the staff. I couldn't of found a better reception venue and a better staff to work with. Amazing night. -

We got married at 20th Century in May and the venue was beautiful. The staff was great. In particular, I can't recommend Mark Santiago, the DJ, more. He was fantastic and several guests complimented his ability to keep the party up and moving, even during some of the more boring times (i.e. waiting to be cleared to get food). While the main space was perfect for the ceremony and reception, I was a bit disappointed by the upstairs though. The ceiling was gross and made photographs a bit tricky as my photographer wanted to avoid the mildewy tiles as much as possible. Other than that, everything was great.20th Century Theater's reply:
Carolyn, the theater is under new ownership and while we strived to keep the great things that were - we got rid of that mildew. lol In fact, we gutted bathrooms, tore out walls, repaired water damage, re-did the kitchen - and made the theater just gorgeous again. -

Mark and Lindsey we're great to work with up to the day and even the day of! Then I had the reception begin... it started at 7 pm. The food was supposed to be floating appetizers, and they gave me a buffet with one person holding a tray of pinwheels that were set down after a half hour. All the food was picked up by 9:30 pm and the bar was closed by 11 pm... they pride themselves on 'partying all night, the place is yours till you say so'- lights were on and linens picked up by 11:05 pm... And to top everything off, valet ruined a side mirror of one of my guests that waited 40 minutes just to get his car....
Like I said, great planning, emailing, working with us, but the day of ruined all the preplanning. My guests still tell me it was beautiful and fun but they left hungry and waited well over 20 minutes for their car... -

My husband and I didn't want a traditional place for our reception. Hotel after hotel and ballroom after ballroom, it all really looked the same and didn't feel like us. When we finally found the 20th century, the retro movie theater/music venue feel hit the right note. With the lights on it needs improvement, but with the lights down and the exposed brick wall and stage revealed, a live band and the star-like ceiling lights, it was perfect. They had no time limit, were completely flexible, and very chill about the whole experience. Red, black and white were our colors, and the popped in this setting. Make sure your photographer can take pictures well in low light. Also be sure to keep a copy of your contract and that you hold them to the details as discussed in your contract signing because a lot of things were promised that were forgotten long before our ceremony. Get it in writing because they're quick to say we can do anything, and will pretty much do anything you ask, but put it in writing and get a price on every special detail or there will be confusion. Also, they were pretty inflexible about food tastings. We were out of town and they only wanted to do a tasting at a scheduled time. The food was ok, not stellar, but they had to hold it for about 30 minutes because our wedding ran late due to a late organist so that may not be entirely their fault. -

Not sure if it was worth the hassle
My twin sister got married at the 20th Century Theater last year, and I am writing this on her behalf. Our experience with the venue was just ok. There were definite positives, like having unlimited venue time for the entire weekend and the all-inclusive cost, and the guests loved the photo booth and taking pictures with the movie posters and marquee sign. We used the in-house DJ, photographer, and videographer, and my sister thought that having a venue that included all of these vendors would make her wedding planning process easier. In hindsight, she wishes she’d spent the extra money and time to look at outside vendors.
The photographer, Kristina, had great reviews, but the bride and groom were extremely disappointed in their photos. At the wedding, she gave little direction, and we found ourselves being the ones to tell people where to stand, how to pose, etc. when we got the photos back, they looked as if they were taken by an amateur, and, quite honestly, her assistant took better photos. We’re able to differentiate the two because she didn’t combine the two sets of photos chronologically. The photographers missed a lot of key moments and gave my sister quite a few pictures that were out of focus, cut off, etc. There were some pictures my sister had me take on my phone just because she knew the photographer was missing things. The venue’s in-house videographer returned the wedding video much later than expected, and it was practically the raw footage. There was no editing, transitions, etc.
While it was nice to have the day before the wedding to set up, there were some issues that caused unnecessary stress for the bride. We’d been told we could set up anything in the venue, just to be told by the owner that he was planning on painting the floors THAT DAY and that they’d have to dry overnight, leading into the wedding day. This would have left us unable to set up the placecards, welcome signs, etc. Thankfully, our dad, noticing how upset this made my sister, talked to the owner and convinced him to delay the painting. The manager had offered to let my sister use round mirrors for her tables and gave them to her covered in dirt and grime. My family had to spend time the day before the wedding cleaning the mirrors and scrubbing off any excess gunk.
While the venue itself is beautiful, and little elements like the marquee sign and twinkle lights add to the ambiance, the headache of working with 20th Century Theater would definitely make us reconsider working with them again.20th Century Theater's reply:
Every wedding should be perfect and we're sorry your experience years ago was not like our norm today. As the new manager, under new ownership, of the theater, we have made great strides to insure EVERY wedding is awesome for EVERY couple. While those who served your wedding nearly 4 years ago are long-gone, my heart still breaks that your sister wasn't over-the-moon happy with her wedding. They should call us near their anniversary and let me show off all the improvements that have been made and have you as a guest for one of our upcoming concerts! Bests- -
