DJ Micheal is THE BEST. If you want a packed dance floor, DJ Micheal is your guy.

DJ Micheal was the DJ at our wedding reception in July 2022. He was the highlight of the day! He was amazing to work with- communicative, flexible, responsive, reliable, kind, and fun. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and get to know our vibe and the vibe we wanted throughout the reception. We got hundreds of compliments from our guests- and our dance floor was FULL the entire night! He was so fun, and created such a fun, party vibe at our reception. 10/10 recommend- we will be hiring him for all of our future parties!

Absolutely Perfect

I don’t remember how I found him, might have been Facebook but I can’t remember. All I knew was that I needed to have him as my DJ. My mom and I love Prince and my wedding was heavily influenced by our love of Prince and everything purple. Michael was a former house DJ at Paisley Park and I knew he would be perfect. I was right. First off, he was very flexible with out 3 date changes. The communication was excellent. From the moment he arrived he was ready to have a good time and that vibe radiated through the entire hall. We provided him some must play songs but I really just wanted him to do what he does best. Play music people want to hear. I told him “do what your heart tells you, you’re the pro.” He read the room and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. People were complimenting me all night and the next day about how great the DJ was. I cannot recommend Michael strongly enough, you will not be disappointed. He was the best part of my night!

The best dj

Michael was one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding day. He was SO extremely attentive to our wants and needs for our wedding day as well as super down to earth and personable. He was extremely organized and helped us with everything from the day of timeline to activities to do during our dinner! Michael is amazing! Michael is so worth it, we are still getting compliments about how great he was!

The Best DJ Ever!

Michael was absolutely amazing at our wedding! He was extremely communicative leading up to the wedding and played an AMAZING playlist for our day! He was also upbeat, fun, and so accommodating to our somewhat odd requests. He also recommended our videographer who turned out to be awesome too! He definitely goes above and beyond. Definitely use him for your wedding or any other event!

I don't even know where to begin when explaining how incredible Michael is. From our initial meeting, to the planning process, to our wedding day, Michael went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. When we met Michael for the first time, he explained that his goal is to make sure the bride and groom show up to their wedding feeling like guests so they can enjoy the day and not worry about anything. Let me tell you, he did just that, and more. My husband was so impressed with Michael's client area and planning forms that the minute we left our initial meeting he said we needed to book Michael. From that moment on, Michael was so on top of everything when it came to timelines, planning, and making sure our day was exactly how we envisioned. Michael even drove over an hour to do a walk through of our venue with us prior to the wedding to ensure everything for the set up and logistics would be perfect(including uplighting which we booked through him and made a WORLD of difference at our venue). A couple months before our wedding, my husband and I decided we wanted to do something special for his mom and my dad during our dances, and we brought our idea to Michael. We said we would like to do a slide show for our parents with special messages recorded to them to play during the songs, and Michael didn't skip a beat in offering to help! Michael invited us to his house and used his equipment to record our messages, then put together a whole slide show with our pictures and lined everything up perfectly. I don't know of any other DJ who would be willing to do so much just to help make a day so special. Then the actual day came, and the minute we stepped into the reception, we did not have to worry about a single thing. Michael made everything go SO smoothly and the dance floor was packed all night. I wish I had more room, but will wrap up by saying booking Michael was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and he is truly one of a kind!!

Our experience with Michael was AMAZING! He was so personable and made sure that our day was all about us. On our big day, we didn't have to worry about anything because we knew how organized he was. Everything went perfect and I hope everyone tries him out.

Michael Holtz is amazing! You cannot go wrong working with 2 The Maxx Entertainment; communication, service, and follow through was perfect. Michael was very easy to communicate with, he made himself available via email, text, phone and in person- all with timely responses. The contact was so clean cut and easy and his client online site allowed for planning the schedule of events with timelines and notes/assignments of the wedding party - this was very helpful for the photographer and family. Payments were so simple with an online payment service. Michael was great with providing DJ service and officiating the ceremonies (we had two ceremonies at our wedding). With the ceremonies, he was very open being a part of a surprise vow renewal for my husband’s parents. Michael was very attentive and assisted with gathering the wedding party for photos, dances, speeches, and dinner. Michael’s enthusiasm and personable personality was great during the whole process of first contact to the end of the event. If you want a professional, flexible, and open-minded DJ, Michael Holtz is the man you want hire!

Michael was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! He was initially booked when we reached out to him, but ended up having a cancelation and reached back out to us!! We already had chosen someone else and he even went out of his way to deduct the deposit cost we already paid for the other DJ for us to switch back!!! He contacted all of our vendors and made sure everything was planned out perfectly. The ceremony music couldn't have been any better in our outdoor setting. I told him what I pictured for our dinner music and it was PERFECT!!! Our guests had an absolute blast at the reception and Michael had us dancing all night! Best part was he took a group picture at the end of the night to capture the last of the bunch!!! We had a beyond perfect day and night with having Michael be a part of it!!!! THANK YOU MICHAEL!!!

Michael Holtz is above and beyond!!! Our wedding reception went perfectly with his help. From the very beginning his wowed us with his planning tools, attention to detail and great ideas that we couldnt have thought of ourselves. He was more then a DJ, he made the party! His open air photo booth was a major hit and we're so lucky to have captured such special moments. The uplighting was perfect! It set the mood and was better then expected! We highly recommend Michael!!

My husband and I were looking for our wedding to be very fun and lots of music and dancing. 2 The Maxx Entertainment did just that. Michael was very helpful in selecting songs for social hour, dinner time, and things to get all of our guests up and dancing the entire evening. He also helped my father and I create a unique rendition for our father daughter dance! I have had many guests from the wedding compliment us on our DJ selection and would highly recommend them to anyone! We did not have to worry about a thing and he added unique touches that made the night very special! We thank you for everything!!

I just have to say.. Michael was simply the BEST. I just got married two weeks ago, and people are still talking about how awesome our DJ was. From the beginning, my husband and I wanted someone who would be able to get the crowd into our wedding and Michael went above and beyond. He met with us before we signed anything with him so we could reassure he would be a good fit for us - which from the start made me feel at ease and showed how much he truly cared about his job. We met again at our venue so there would be no surprises on the BIG day. He had great ideas to involve our guests on the day of, and the DJ portal online is so easy to use. He also took pictures on our wedding night and gave us the link to download for our use - I have never EVER seen a DJ go out of his way to make a day for two people so special. If you are looking for a MC/DJ for ANY event - i recommend Michael.

Michael was ABSOLUTELY amazing to work with on so many levels. During the planning process, we met with Michael face to face AND via phone several times so he could get to know us as a couple and what we wanted during our wedding. With a friendly, genuine and outgoing personality, he helped us create the perfect party! The online form system was extremely organized, thorough and helpful for planning our day. He worked with me to create a perfect mix for my father/daughter dance song. He also helped our Maid of Honor and Best Man surprise us with a toast that included music and rapping! Michael had some fun, unique ideas for our reception that MANY of our guests complimented. He took pictures and videos throughout our day and was fun and outgoing during the reception. Michael was able to keep guests out on the dance floor all night long and he even came out to dance with us during a few songs! He was personable yet professional, organized yet fun loving, and he made us feel as though our special day was extremely important to him! Michael called us the week of our wedding just to go over everything. His upbeat, enthusiastic personality made me comfortable and even more excited for our day! Overall, we were extremely impressed with Michael and would recommend him to anyone and everyone.

Michael was fantastic to work with. During our planning he covered every detail to ensure we didn't miss anything. On our wedding day he was engaging with our guests and was an enthusiastic MC. Mike was so helpful and offered tips and suggestions leading up to our day. He was flexible in allowing us to add ceremony services after we booked him. His online planning tools were very valuable in helping us envision our day. He offered suggestions when I asked, and was ALWAYS sweet when I called or emailed like a frantic bride (and calmed my nerves). We didn't have to worry about anything all day. He kept us on the dance floor, played songs that were important to us, and took so many great snapshots for us! I have been to many weddings he DJ'd and I was thrilled he was available for ours because I love his work. I would recommend him to anyone (and I do!). Worth every penny for the excitement and peace of mind.

We couldn't have been happier with our experience with Michael Holtz and 2 The Maxx Entertainment. Michael was incredibly professional from the moment we first met with him as a potential DJ for our wedding, all the way through the end of the dance. What we loved most about him and his service is that he really took the time to get to know us as a couple, what we wanted in our wedding reception/dance, our style, etc. We had several in person meetings with him, as well as email and phone touch-bases as we got closer to our date. He was so organized, responsive, and thorough and that took a lot of stress of of our plates during the wedding planning process- which was so nice, because it can certainly get stressful! Michael is so creative and resourceful; some of our favorite things about our reception, and also the things we got complimented on the most, were ideas that he had and helped us make "our own." We heard so many good things from our guests after our wedding about how good and how much fun our DJ was. Not only was he a lot of fun to work with and energetic, you can very easily tell that he loves doing it! We would highly recommend him, he made the entire process easy and enjoyable.

I've had a hard time writing this review, not because we had a negative experience, but because I have had a hard time finding words to truly do justice to the experience Michael brought to our wedding.

From Day one, Michael was responsive, professional, personable & very kind. Right away we met with Michael-I've heard this is actually not part of the traditional process couples go through with other DJs, we appreciated this as we could tell Michael wanted to get to know us so our wedding would be personable and customized to what we were looking for. (Again, not a normal part of the DJ process-most of the time you'll meet your DJ night of your wedding with other companies). Throughout the entire process he followed up quickly, suggested ideas & ensured we were staying on task-huge plus! About 2 months before the wedding, things started to become busier and Michael followed up to visit our venue to understand the space, determine the best location for his equipment & recommend the best format for up lighting. (Let me tell you, he is an expert with the best look, acoustics & location for everything that needs to be set up to ensure the experience is perfect.) A few weeks later, Kory & I had some fun ideas we thought might be too crazy to execute the day of, but Michael was all ears & started brainstorming with us to determine the best way to make it all happen. (Which we did!) The day of, was completely perfect. I honestly could not have asked for it to go any other way. The ballroom looked exactly how I had always imagined with the up lighting Michael provided. We really wanted an experience that was different but still classy & that was executed perfectly. We still hear from our friends & family about how amazing they thought Michael was. I highly suggest using his up lighting recommendations, photo slideshow, Love Story & pictures of the dance. Brainstorm with him on fun ideas you might have-you never know what he can come up with.

Definition of Michael Holtz:
The BEST DJ IN THE WORLD. Micheal went above and beyond for our wedding and he couldn't have been more amazing at his job! He created our 1st dance audio which was a mixture of several songs put together. He's awesome at putting together beats and music. That dance was my favorite part of the wedding too. The crowd loved him! More importantly my husband and I loved him! He's not only the most talented DJ I've encountered (and trust me I've been to so many weddings), but he's the coolest and most genuine guy you'll meet. You'll want to be friends with him by the end of your wedding. Serious. You won't be disappointed. Your wedding will actually be awesome solely because he's DJing it. He's THAT good. You rock Micheal! Dan and I give you 4 thumbs up from us!

Michael is absolutely awesome!! He is very punctual, he makes sure there is 100% communication with the groom and bride and he is FUN!! The most awesome part at the wedding was as people were dancing the night away, when a song came on where people kind of left the dance floor, he instantly switched it up to put something on that brought them back! If you want an amazing DJ who is in constant communication, is amazing at his job and doesn't treat you like a number, not to mention isn't afraid to bust a sweet move, choose Michael and 2 The Maxx Entertainment! They are worth it!

Michael was better than expected. We had a referral from a friend having high expectations and he surpassed them, we really couldn't have asked for more. Michael also did the up lighting for our venue and we received a lot of compliments on both services. Then the icing on the cake was he even snapped a few photos & videos throughout the night, that meant so much to us. He is a true professional and we highly recommend!!!!

We can’t begin to explain how incredible of a job Michael does!! We first met Michael 3 years ago at my cousins wedding, and then the following year at another cousins wedding. And by this time he was pretty much a part of the family and we couldn’t have imagined having anyone else be a part of our special day. We recommend 2 The Maxx Entertainment to everyone & would definitely hire Michael again for future events.

Michael did a great job! We booked him 2 weeks before our wedding and he was so accommodating! He took amazing pictures during our wedding and helped to get the crowd excited! He was the best MC I have ever hired!

Michael did a GREAT job as the DJ at our wedding reception ! I heard a lot of comments about the choice of music that was played, everyone loved it. We had quite a few kids at our party, and it was so fun watching them have such a great time - Michael played all the right tunes that they loved to dance to. And he's a great guy, he met with us before the wedding, has a great planning tool that we could use on our own time frame, and then came to the venue so there were no surprises for him. We were so glad that we hired him, and would definitely hire him again if the occasion comes along.

From the first time, my then fiancée, met with Michael to consider having him as our DJ at our wedding he made the experience so personal. He allowed for a ideal mix of our personal desires and his professional expertise to make the event fun and entertaining for us and our guests. Michael took genuine interest in meeting with us multiple times before too and sure our wedding would be tailored to our vibe. Many guests complemented Michael during the event which meant so much to us. He had an array of music and open to adding to his collection to fit our style. Michael took extra time for the details and very responsive with great communication. Beyond the exceptional value Michael gave us he was an important piece to what turned out to be an incredible wedding weekend.

I did extensive research on who to use for a DJ and I came across his services. I knew that using somebody that does their own DJ services in lieu of a large service was huge for us, especially when you know he will meet with you, get to know you, and help in any way that he could.

Michael was wonderful DJ, He met with us on multiple occasions to get to know us before the event, was very helpful in coordinating everything that he could help with, music selection was a breeze, his online forms and site was very easy to use. Everyone had a wonderful time, requests were honored for music, just an outstanding guy and got everyone dancing and having a great time! Thank you Michael for everything on our wedding day! Your the best!

Michael was incredible! Everyone at my wedding had such great things to say about him! He was very thorough and flexible. He made sure to check in a few times before the wedding and made sure everything was going smoothly with the planning. He was definitely worth the pay and made the night something to remember!

I could NOT have had a better experience with Micheal Holtz at 2 the Maxx Entertainment! He was absolutely wonderful! He checked in with us multiple times before the wedding, made sure he had the exact timeline and layout of the wedding we wanted, did all of the MCing, and even took additional photos at our event after the photographer left! I would say that Micheal was the BEST vendor we dealt with for our entire wedding! Strongly recommend him and his company!

Michael met with us once and told us how excited he was to do his first gay wedding. We were so excited about that. He took all our music suggestions and improved on them. He had great music for the march, the cocktail hour, the dinner and most of all the dance. His mixing of the music was spot on perfect. From the first song to the last song the dance floor was packed. Everyone commented on how wonderful his personality was---so sparkling. He was so good to us and did everything we asked and went above and beyond. Another comment I heard over and over was how perfect the sound level was. He placed the speakers perfectly so that the people on the floor could enjoy it, but everyone sitting down at the tables could hear and talk to each other. Everything was perfect and everybody told us it was the best wedding they ever were at. Book Michael for any event and you will not be disappointed. We love him and his wife who helped him.

We received many compliments on our wedding, but the most common was how much fun the dance was. People danced almost the entire night, the dance floor always had a large number of dancers, and Michael was awesome at checking in with us to make sure everything was going fine. Extremely professional, and I would recommend him to anybody looking for DJ services!

We can't say anything bad about our experience working with Michael, he is hands down the best DJ!! He invested time into getting to know us inside and out which made our experience that much more personable. He worked with us every step of the way which was completely unexpected...which made him not only our DJ but our own personal Wedding Coordinator. He was fantastic!! From beginning to end, he was there every step of the way helping with the planning. He was very easy to work with, flexible, professional and was willing to do anything to make our special day absolutely perfect, which we can definitely say it was! We would have no problem recommending him to anyone we know!

Michael Holtz was our wedding DJ, and from start to finish he was amazing! We just cant say enough about how pleased we were with the service he provided. We met with him a couple times before the wedding to discuss all the details of the evening such as, songs to be played or avoided, the order of events, etc. A few days before the wedding he allowed us to double check and confirm everything. During the reception itself, Michael was absolutely on point: he was on the mike and interacting with our guests without being overbearing, his music selections were responsive to who was or wasn't on the dance floor, and there was never a lull in the action. Everything we had discussed and planned with Michael prior to the event was executed without a hitch. If you are looking for someone who is energetic, interacts with guests, and provides suggestions for your wedding...Michael Holtz is your guy! His 12+ years in the entertainment business certainly shows!

2 The Maxx Entertainment was one of the highlights for my wedding. Michael was more than accomodating. He was also more than a DJ. He took pictures the entire night at no additional cost. He was out dancing with the crowd; and he knows what to play to get all ages out on the dance floor. Michael was very flexible with meeting and when answering questions. He made our wedding memorable and I couldn't have asked for more. We have seen him at few events before and he was great. Many of my friends will be booking 2 The Maxx Entertainment for their weddings in the near future!

Michael was key in keeping the reception moving at a good pace! He did a great job with keeping the guests involved and playing what the bride and groom requested. He added a nice touch and took some pictures as well. The final group picture of the wedding party and guests at the end of the night was a nice closure to the evening as well!

We had such a good time with Mike as our DJ! He was so accommodating to any request we had and he made himself available via email or phone for any questions or concerns that arose. Michael did an absolutely perfect job at our wedding reception. Not only did he fulfill our expectations of a DJ, but he went above and beyond and took pictures, ran a slideshow, and did an excellent job at including all our guests. Throughout the night, him and his assistant took pictures of guests and ran a slideshow for everyone to see of this pictures. The guests loved it! And the pictures were great for my husband and I to look at after and relive our special night. I would recommend Michael, without a doubt. You won't be disappointed!

We had Michael Holtz as our DJ for our wedding and it was a wonderful experience. He was very organized, professional, was relialbe and on time to the event. The pricing was fair and Michael outperformed his contract.

Michael personally met with us before our wedding and we were in constant communication with him the whole time leading up to the wedding. It was very helpful because he pointed out things and made suggestions we would not have thought of on our own.

Michael provided a fantastic blend of music ranging from classics, oldies and modern music, and blended the songs seamlessly together creating a wonderful atmosphere as we transitioned from dinner into dancing. Michael was very skilled at reading the crowd and kept the dance floor packed all night.

During our wedding reception, we stopped the music and had some “question and answer” entertainment with our family and friends. Michael has a wonderful voice and orchestrated the event beautifully.

We can't say enough good things about our experience. We would highly recommend 2 The Maxx Entertainment. You won’t be disappointed!

We were a bit worried about spending so much money on a DJ, but I can honestly say 2themaxx entertainment is worth every penny! We had a fabulous time and I don't think that we could have booked a better person to provide our entertainment for the evening. At the end of the night we had so many compliments on our reception but none if it would have been as amazing if we didn't have such a wonderful DJ to make the night complete! THANK YOU!

Michael with 2 The Maxx was an absolute joy to work with throughout our engagement and wedding process. He met with my now husband and I three different times to make sure we were all on the same page for what we wanted for our wedding. He answered all of my emails and phone calls in a timely manner and was so helpful during the wedding process. Michael played music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. He did a fantastic job and although we didn't have much of a dancing crowd, Michael still managed to get guests out there and played all the music requests by us and our guests. Michael Holtz & 2 The Maxx Entertainment provided far beyond our expectations for music and entertainment. Probably the two things that really stood out to me was the fact that he really understood the personalities of me and my bride, plus those of our guests. Whether our guests were 25 or 65, they enjoyed the music and couldn't stop dancing. But here's what was really special, Michael and his lovely wife enjoyed our wedding as much as everyone else. 2 The Max went above and beyond our expectations as well as the Reception halls expectations with keeping over 100 people at the reception until 1:30 in the morning! Michael met with us 3 times to ensure that our reception itinerary was planned out without having any dull awkward boring times. People were dancing the night away to some of the sweetest jams 2 The Max had to offer!! Michael was also willing to stay an extra half hour because people were not ready to go home yet!! Worth every penny spent and definitely will be passing his name around!

Mike was the DJ at two of my brother's weddings a couple years ago and he did a phenomenal job, so when it came time to find a DJ for my wedding, Mike was the only company I called, and I was happy he had the date open.
Mike did an excellent job doing our music for our wedding. He kept in contact the whole time we were engaged, checking in just to give me peace of mind. He came to our venue to check it out before the wedding and get an idea of set up. His online portal is professional and easy to use and covers everything.

Leading up to our wedding, Michael was professional, supportive and responsive. However, we had not heard about him or his company, so even with his great pre-wedding service, we couldn't help but feel a little apprehensive. However, all of our positive thoughts about him were reaffirmed on our wedding night. He listened to our requests and made our wedding dance an unforgettable event. Communication is Key!

My husband and I really wanted a wedding that reflected our personalities. Meaning we had a lot of random, odd & specific requests. We also flew out a bunch of Greek New Yorkers to a winter Minnesota wedding which required a lot of spontaneous requests of Michael during the reception. He handled every last minute idea and facilitated some fun interactive bits between the bridal party and the guests. Despite our being in different parts of the country for most of the planning, Michael was excellent at communicating (email, phone calls and in person meetings). He was always friendly and accommodating with any schedules or requests we had. He was more expensive than other DJ's we looked into but the continual communication and help are worth it, especially if you have a lot of special details you'd like to incorporate. We had a beautiful night and are very happy we chose Michael!

2 the Maxx did an excellent job. The dance floor was always full, and he made sure to play great music that would keep it that way. He also made the evening flow, from the speeches to the first dance to the last dance. I would recommend Michael to anybody that wants to have a great time at their reception!!

Mike was a pleasure to work with and knew when to switch it up to keep the dancing going into the night.
The 2 The Maxx website was easy to use to specify our please play and do not play list. I would definitely recommend using him for a DJ

Michael was a great mix that helped get the party started, but stayed out of the way and let the party-goers do their thing.

He listened to what we wanted, but read the vibe of the party so we didn't have any lulls.
