For our wedding, we had our catering, rental services, and wedding coordination through the 1979! Yarden was amazing from start to finish. I shared my Pinterest board with her and she literally made it happen, exactly how I pictured. Yarden communicated my vision perfectly with the florist. Her and Joshua brought my vision to life with the ceremony and reception set up. Our reception was so dreamy under the Hawaii mountains and string lights. The food was AMAZING! All of our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food and drinks by the 1979. Yarden was so great the day of the wedding. She has a calm demeanor, which helped ease any pre-wedding jitters. She also snapped a ton of behind the scenes wedding photos, which we appreciated so much. Thank you so much Yarden, Joshua, & the 1979 team for making our wedding so effortless and perfect. -

Our dream wedding was made reality - and a pretty stress-free one at that - by Yarden and 1979 Hawaii. The ceremony and reception was a respectful balance of universal marriage familiarity and tastes of the local culture, perfectly suited for us two recently relocated mainlanders with guests who too were mostly flying in. Yarden's advice and guidance provided a most memorable day and pleasure working into it. The staff were fantastic, food was incredible, and all our guests were blown away. Special shoutouts for our venue Moli'i Gardens and officiant Grant Gomes, cornerstones of this most memorable evening. Thank you Yarden and 1979 Hawaii! -

Beautifully smooth
This is a very over due review but one I have thought about almost every day. I kept putting it off thinking, how can I express my deepest gratitude. I felt a great responsibility in writing this review, and for good reason.
Yardin and her team at 1979 were phenomenal.
Going into the planning was extremely stressful for me.
My better half (love of my life Shawn) was kind enough to do most of the coordinating with the team.
When the big day came I was expecting to have some sort of problem at some point with the wedding planner or team.
In my experience with weddings I had been to and even a part of, the bride ALWAYS had at some point was upset with their wedding coordinators. I just thought this was part of the process 😂
Yardin and her team were extremely organized and so patient. Everything went so smoothly and there was not one time I had any stress. NONE. Like, my wedding was literally a dream come true.
I am so blessed to have had 1979 plan the most special day of my life.
I have such deep gratitude to the whole team.
In a drunken state at the end of the night my husband and I have gave what cash we had on hand thinking it was sufficient. Once awake and sober in the morning and asked what the service charge was I quickly realized what we gave was certainly not enough. I felt absolutely horrible and reached out immediately to ask to meet to give cash gratuity.
They couldn’t have been more humble and kind about it! Yardin and her husband even invited us to a beach party with music and hooping! 💓 The second day after our wedding we were ready to meet with Yardin. We contacted her and learned that her and her team had left the island to help with the Maui fire. The news has broke that morning of this devastating fire and by the afternoon Yardin and her team were already on their way out.
I mean, these people are genuinely compassionate and caring people. One of a kind, beautiful inside and out. Everything they did for my wedding showed their character traits. If you are looking for a team to make your wedding day special and full of LOVE. Look no further, I cannot recommend them enough. -

Dream wedding!!!
As non-locals to Hawaii and Oahu we were pretty scared going into a wedding where we could not see the venue, taste the food, meet the planners in person but Yarden and 1979 crew made the wedding so easy to handle and made sure the day was INCREDIBLE! The food was delicious, the flowers were gorgeous and everything went beyond what my husband and I expected. The service was exceptional and I cannot tell you how awesome the 1979 crew handled every aspect of our wedding. I never hope to be married again but if I was I would definitely rehire 1979 and I STRONGLY recommend their services. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts, 1979 Hawaii!!! -

Best Production, Bar, & Catering Group Ever!
We utilized 1979 Hawaii for day of coordination, rentals, and bar/catering services for our wedding on 10.13.22. Yarden and her team were absolutely incredible and perfectly executed our dream wedding! Our guests loved the pineapple drinks and buffet and continue to rave on about how perfect everything was! Yarden went above and beyond with her coordination services as she was assisting with planning and answering my many questions over a year before our event. The bartenders, serving staff, and coordination assistants were so kind and helpful to me and my family the entire day! They even helped with entertaining our younger guests which I am so grateful for. I would definitely recommend that everyone utilize 1979 Hawaii for their upcoming weddings and elopements! -

We had an absolutely phenomenal experience with the entire team at 1979 Hawaii. From email, phone calls, and the day of the event they truly took special care to ensure every detail was executed. For our day, they took care of the catering, service, lei making, hula dancing, and acai bowl station at Paliku Gardens and we could not have been more pleased with everything they were a part of. The food was wonderful, they were patient and flexible as timing shifts were made during the reception that evening, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of the night went smoothly. Yarden worked incredibly hard to ensure all details that we discussed in advance of the day were translated. We are so happy we went with 1979 Hawaii for this special day and would 10/10 recommend them for any special event or wedding you are planning in Hawaii! -

When I first booked my wedding I debated on just hiring a bartender and going away with a specialized bartender service. I’m glad I changed my mind and booked with 1979. Their service is worth every penny. The staff were extremely friendly and easy to work with along the way.
I received a package that included pineapple frozen drinks which the guests loved during the warmth of an outdoor wedding. Pineapples or coconuts are a must for a hawaii wedding! The other cocktails we selected were beautifully garnished and tasted absolutely amazing. I wouldn’t change a thing! -

The Absolute BEST
From the very beginning, Yarden was a dream to work with. The booking process was smooth and she provided all the necessary details and answered all the questions we had very quickly. We booked the bar service package and everything turned out amazing on the day of. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the amazing cocktails (especially the pina colada) and the coconuts on the ceremony seats. They also had a really unique champagne wall for our guests as well. We couldn't have asked for a better bar vendor for our wedding. 1979 truly made our special day extra special! -

1979 Hawaii bartender was professional and outstanding. The account manager customized the menu to fit my needs and budget. They worked around my very tight schedule. My guests talked about the activation & the pineapple smoothie for a long time after the event. Thank you for making me look good. -

1979--THE ABSOLUTE BEST
Yarden and her team went above and beyond all of our expectations for our special day! It's particularly tough planning a wedding, and even harder during covid, but she made sure we were taken care of for EVERYTHING. She provided us with great ideas based on the aesthetic we wanted, and designed a personal and meaningful destination wedding for us. (Zoom calls and emails with her were our lifelines during the planning process) 1979 is truly a one stop shop for everything you need; bar, food, dishware rentals, tables, lights, lounge tents (we loved this), etc. Yarden was extremely flexible in helping us navigate through the uncertainties of planning a wedding during a global pandemic. And not only was she quick to reply to any question we had, she kept us excited about new suggestions throughout. Our guests are still raving about it being the best wedding they've ever been to, and can't stop talking about their signature drinks (fresh pina coladas, welcome coconuts at the ceremony) and food! (Particularly the ahi poke and teriyaki grilled sirloin) Their service is world class and I highly recommend them without hesitation. 1979 made our wedding day perfect and for that, we will always be grateful to Yarden and her team.

Yarden and Joshua really means business. If you expect their A game then you have to do the same as well for them.
They did so much more than catering. They helped me map out the floor, wedding agenda, great recommendations on other vendors, and soooo much more. On my wedding day, it was raining and I was having an outdoor wedding so it wasn’t what we expected. Yarden and Joshua and their team SAVED my wedding. Continued to shine no matter what happened. They did so much for us.
I highly recommend this gorgeous catering a lot. They were literally my first choice, I didn’t want anybody else lol!

Truly Amazing
I can’t say enough. They were just amazing all around. My son Emerson and my new daughter in law Brandi chose them to do the catering and from the start they were nothing but helpful. The food, drinks and service were beyond amazing. Thank you so much for all you guys did! -

Amazing and delicious
We hired 1979 Hawaii to do our bartending services for our wedding day! We decided to do their package that includes freshly made pina coladas served in a fresh pineapple. Hands down, one of the best decisions that we made for our special day! The fresh pineapple drinks were such a hit with our guests and refreshing to have ready after our ceremony in 80+ degree weather. Their service was friendly, professional, and remarkable. They well exceeded our expectations! 1979 Hawaii was the perfect addition for us and our guests to soak in paradise. My husband and I would highly recommend hiring 1979 Hawaii for your wedding day and/or other special events! -
