48 Hour Wedding Reception

I called Ashley on Wednesday night of wedding week after our plans fell through at our reception venue. Ashley showed up at 10am the next morning and went right to work putting together the most intimate and idealic wedding reception we could have ever wanted right at our home. Ashley went out of her way to iron out all the missed details, took initiative, and even lent a hand to the servers when it was clear they needed it. Her industry connections enabled us to book new vendors and service staff on basically one-day’s notice, all perfectly suited to our needs. Her professionalism, Johnny-on-the-spot attention, and clear passion for her craft ensured the entire evening went off without a hitch. We are deeply grateful for her services and she has our highest recommendation.

Incredible!

Natalie is REMARKABLE at her job. Because of her, my now husband & I could relax and enjoy our whole wedding day. I truly don't know how we could have pulled off our wedding without her. I would recommend Natalie to ANYONE! Game changer for sure.

Worth every penny

My husband and I were on the fence about a wedding planner, but luckily we went ahead and spent the extra money for peace of mind. Ashley was worth every single penny. She helped make decisions on the little things that can seem frivolous, yet daunting (Do you need corsages? Who walks down the aisle with whom?) and also helped us to see the big picture and how it would all come together. The day of, Ashley really helped make our wedding beautiful, special (hooking us up with a private dinner as husband/wife), and run so smoothly. Bonus- she is such a nice person and has the cutest outfits :) HIGHLY recommend!

Absolutely Amazing

Ashley was our day of coordinator and the only thing I regret is not letting her coordinate the entire wedding. She was extremely responsive to all of my Type A questions and concerns. She had answers before I had questions. Soooo professional, organized and meticulous. We planned to have an outdoor wedding, however the forecast changed the day of the wedding and the temperature dropped drastically & it ended up raining. Not ideal for an outdoor ceremony. Ashley quickly assured me not to worry and she went above and beyond to make the ceremony Everything. She worked with my vendors to change the initial plans that we had made in order to accommodate the rain, she helped with our linens, she took the stress out of timing wedding events (first dance, cake cutting etc..) I was able to truly enjoy my husband and our guests without the stress of the planning. She made sure that from the time we walked inside we had drinks, food and were comfortable. It took me a year to plan our wedding but due to circumstances beyond our control our entire ceremony had to be changed but with Ashley’s experience & background she made sure we had the best night ever. Outside of choosing my husband to marry Ashley was hands down THE BEST decision I made regarding our wedding. Now that the wedding is over I actually miss her - Ha! Would recommend for any bride or event!!!!!

She is very knowledgeable in the industry and was able to make my vision come true for my wedding! Hiring Natalie from 117 Event Design was then best decision I made for my wedding and the best money I spent. Everyone talked about great she was and how much she was involved. She truly cares about her brides and I would hire her again in a heart beat. <3

I could not ask for a better Planner!! Natalie made the wedding happen with such very little stress for me and my family. I had no experience with weddings! Natalie helped me know, and complete, all my tasks! I would recommend Natalie to anyone! She is professional and personal at the same time. She became a member of our family during this time! I could not have had anyone better to lean on during all this activity and emotions.

I didn't think I wanted or needed a planner, so we went with a day of planner just to help keep the night running smoothly, and I am so glad we chose Ashley! She was very professional and helped the night flow very naturally, there was nothing forced, no awkward overly planned things. She would just come up to me at a natural kind of break and say "hey, how about we do the cake cutting, etc." it was perfect. I wasn't being pulled away from my guests or being told what to do and when to do it. She was so helpful!

I worked with Natalie from 117 Events for day of coordinating. She is incredible at what she does. She is a wonderful person to work with because of her positive attitude and beautiful spirit. She has knowledge far beyond her years and openly shares every bit of it. I can't say enough good things about Natalie. She wasn't just my wedding coordinator, she was also my friend. She was there for me the entire day of the wedding, checking on everything to make sure everything was okay and ready to jump at anything we threw at her. I loved working with her! I highly recommend that you look no further than 117 events!

Natalie was fabulous! She made the whole day go smoothly and dealt with any potential problems that arose. I live in another state so I didn't have a lot of time in Memphis to plan, but 117 Event Design did a terrific job.

Natalie Chrestman 117 Event designs was beyond amazing! She was my day of Coordinator for my wedding, and I don't think I could have made my vision come to life without her. From a last minute panic from a rain forecast, to setting up my complicated decor items, and managing all the vendors she stayed professional and super organized. She was always available to answer any question I had before the big day, and kept me a calm and happy bride during the event. I cannot recommend Natalie enough, worth every penny and more for her experience and expertise!

Ashley Oldham and 117 Event Design was invaluable to us on our wedding weekend. She was a pleasure to work with, professional, prompt, and always calm. Ashley easily assumed the stress of handling the small (and sometimes big) issues/details of a wedding weekend allowing me, my groom, and more importantly, my mom, to relax and truly enjoy the ceremony and reception. We were working under a pretty set budget and decided to splurge a little in hiring a wedding-weekend coordinator. Ashley was worth every penny and then some. Thank you so much 117 events for making my wedding happen! My mom had a great experience working closely with Ashley throughout the planning process, and I worked closely with Natalie as the event approached and on our actual wedding day. Natalie coordinated our rehearsal and wedding day, and she made the entire process painless, smooth, and easy. In the days leading up to the event, she was very responsive to my every question and published a very thorough document that she distributed to everyone involved in the wedding (vendors, families, bridal party, officiant, etc) with a detailed timeline, which really made me feel so prepared going into it. She was extremely professional and put all my logistical fears and anxieties about the wedding day at ease. She also helped us establish the layout of our venue and our reception's order of events, which I would have never been able to figure out alone. Our day flowed perfectly (we've gotten compliments from guests specifically about the flow!), and even as a high strung detail oriented person, I really felt like I could fully let go and trust Natalie to coordinate with all our vendors and conduct the day's events and our families/wedding party, without me ever having to worry! Thanks so much for helping us pull off a flawless day!

Natalie Chrestman has always been my "go to" person for ANY type of event. She is the best in planning birthdays, baby showers, wedding showers, etc. She is very organized and professional. She gives any event her full attention and truly puts her heart in it.

As a photographer, I've found myself shooting quite a few weddings for brides and grooms who didn't hire a wedding planner/coordinator. When this happens, I pretty much have to take on that responsibility along with doing my own job. These situations have shown me how important it is for couples to hire a planner, mainly for themselves, but also for the other vendors working the wedding. Natalie Chrestman has been the best at doing this unique, difficult job out of any others I've worked with.... and she makes it look effortless. I can't place a value on how much stress she has saved me, along with the couples I've watched her guide along into their marriage.

Natalie Chrestman was my wedding planner and let me tell you... She is AMAZING!!!! Not only has she been a bride but she has worked on Special Events since I've known her that range from informal to a $2 Million wedding. Natalie was able to design and recreate the perfect invitations for my wedding at the best price I've ever seen. Being a hairstylist, I have worked 100s of weddings, at least half have been with Natalie, and none go as smooth as the ones she is in charge of. At my own wedding, my cake fell, my songs weren't all on the playlist, and something else happened (that I still haven't been told about). I NEVER knew anything was wrong until I returned from my honeymoon!
I Never realized how much goes into a wedding until we sat down and discussed who takes the left over cake home, who takes the presents to your house, who is taking your bags to your hotel the night of the honeymoon??. These things are so minor but yet so important to a bride and a woman! I couldn't imagine anyone asking all these questions and more while I'm trying to enjoy my new last name. From invite designs to pictures and the BEST 911 box ever; Natalie never ceases to amaze me. She always pulls out the works and is extremely easy to work with when it comes to budget matters! I couldn't have done it without her!

Ashley and her team are simply the best. Ashley helped with planning the rehearsal dinner and wedding of our son and his fiancé. I have never attended a more organized, stress-free, or fun event! Our family as well as the bride's was able to relax and enjoy the weekend knowing that Ashley and her team had everything under control. Ashley knows Memphis. She has great contacts and is eager to connect clients with the very best the city has to offer at reasonable rates. Words can't adequately express how amazing Ashley is. She is a joy to work with. It would be a mistake to plan an event in the Memphis area without having Ashley on your team.

Ashley is too incredible for words. She and her team deserve 500 stars, not just 5! I cannot explain how connected she is in the Memphis community to the BEST folks to make your wedding FLAWLESS. We even had a rather sudden week-of discovery at our venue that had me up in arms, but within 12 hours of talking to Ashley, she had her folks ON IT and solved it. She is kind and wonderful to be around, and we had Christy join us for wedding day which was awesome. Her whole team is incredible and I cannot recommend them enough. She also recommended the most AMAZING band and event rental service which were just the icing on the cake. Do not hesitate. Book Ashley and her team now and it will be the best decision of your wedding (other than marrying your prospective partner, of course!). The very best part was seeing our respective mothers, family, and wedding party leading up to and during wedding day have no stress because we had 100% confidence that everything would be smooth and joyful because of Ashley!

A HUGE thank you to 117 Event Design for making our wedding weekend even more special! Hollye was fantastic and did a lot of behind-the-scenes work that I wasn't aware of - basically ensuring I had an extremely smooth day without involving me in questions the day-of. I loved working with Ashley and Hollye leading up to the wedding. They had incredible suggestions and advice. Their input influenced us to change the scope of our reception, and we are SO thankful for their direction!!

Hollye ensured we were taken care of the entire night without interfering. Having a weekend-of coordinator is something I would suggest everyone consider. Even the most organized bride cannot oversee where everyone is at all times on her wedding day. I was so impressed by how detailed 117 Events was. They thought of things I would have never considered. I loved Hollye's personality, and she was so open to our ideas!

The 117 Event Design gals know how to coordinate a wedding. It was extremely refreshing (and relaxing!) to have someone facilitating all of the vendors the weekend-of our special day! Trust me - they will think of even the tiniest of details, and they take good care of all bridal party members as well as the family.

Ashley is by far the best decision we made for our wedding (besides actually getting married, of course!)! She was always looking for vendor options that were in our budget, but she made sure we were going to get the best service as well. Not only did she help us find vendors, but she also helped us with the design of the wedding. She knew the look I was going for, and she nailed it. She was always super quick to reply to me especially when I was a nervous wreck, and she even helped me with things that I'm pretty sure aren't things wedding planners normally help with! She went with me to find my dress, and even set up all of the appointments. She did not take sides when my mom and I didn't agree, but rather helped us see both sides and helped us make an informed decision. My wedding was supposed to be an outdoor wedding, but it poured rain right before we were supposed to walk down the aisle. She handled everything perfectly, and even assured me that my wedding in a tent was going to be just a beautiful as my outdoor one, and it was because she made it that way! I would recommend Ashley to anyone who is getting married and has NO idea how to plan a wedding. She was FABULOUS!

Ashley and her team created the perfect wedding for me and my husband. She has amazing ideas, and she works so well with all of the vendors! I would highly recommend 117 Event Design for any of your future events. We wouldn't use anyone else!

Hiring Ashley at 117 Event Design was the best decision I made during my wedding process. I live in California and had to plan my Memphis wedding from a distance. Ashley was recommended to me by all my vendors (all of whom I loved! L and Jay Productions and Simply Delicious Catering). She was so fun to work with and made the entire process a pleasure. She took care of everything I asked to her to do with enthusiasm and humor. No matter what you decide for your wedding, the BEST thing you can do is have a coordinator to take the pressure off of YOU!

We have used Ashley and 117 event design for both of our daughters' weddings. She and her staff created the weddings of their dreams. They planned all the little details that fit each one of their personalities. We would never think of using anyone else.

Ashley was our day-of coordinator and she was so wonderful to work with! She made sure everything went perfectly as we wanted and made it so my mom and I had nothing to worry about on the big day. I would recommend her and her team to anyone looking for a coordinator!

Ashley was our wedding planner, and I can't recommend her and her team enough!! She has so much experience with wedding planning and is great at what she does! She was very flexible and worked around my crazy schedule to make sure the planning was convenient and easy for me. She listened to how I wanted my wedding day to be when we first met, and she did a fabulous job making it just how I'd hoped! She was always willing to provide advice when I asked for it, and she really went above and beyond. Her experience in planning really helped us find the perfect combination between food, flowers, cake, and everything else that you need that goes into wedding planning. I couldn't be happier that we chose to work with her!

I gave Ashley an idea and a budget. I did very little in terms of planning, i simply rejected ideas of i didn't like them (in the entire 6 months, i rejected one menu idea). Ashley took my concept and made it into a beautiful reality. I could not say more about Ashley and her team. I was lucky to have her and I recommend her to everyone. My food/band/venue were all her recommendations and even 18 months later, people still tell me how much fun the party was and how much they loved the food/drinks.

We used 117 Event for my daughter's wedding. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Ashley and her team did an awesome job from start to finish. They were prepared and knew how to get things done. They thought about the little things we would have never thought of. They delivered us a stress free wedding.

I had the pleasure of working with Ashley as my wedding coordinator. We met once before the wedding to discuss exactly what I was wanting. I showed her pictures and she went over how everything would work the day of the wedding. She answered all my emails and always responded promptly.

The night before the wedding was our rehearsal. Ashley made sure everyone knew what their role would be during the wedding. She was very organized and I could tell that she knew exactly what she was doing. Very professional!

During the wedding, Ashley was busy making sure everything was going as planned. She kept me on time with all of the events we needed to include (first dance, cake cutting, bouquet/garter toss, exit etc.) She took all of my stress away and made sure everything was perfect. I felt so relieved that I didn't have to worry about any of these things. It was wonderful working with Ashley and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a wedding coordinator. She did exactly what I needed her to do and make my wedding day a huge success!!

If it weren't for Natalie, we would have eloped! She was an awesome resource, gave appropriate vendor recommendations based on our budget, helped guide us through the planning process and the inevitable freak outs, and made sure our big day went smoothly. We've been to a few other weddings since ours, and seeing other planners work has only grown our appreciation for Natalie and 117 Event Design. She was our single biggest wedding expense ($11k wedding), but she was worth it!
