Restaurant Wedding Venues in New Mexico

We had a Vietnamese wedding banquet. Ming worked with us from out of town to set up an amazing 10 course banquet meal. He has capacity for over 200 people. The food was fabulous, he gave us lots of good advice about what to choose since half of our guests were Vietnamese and the other half were Non-Vietnamese Americans. For example, he suggested we not order the whole fish with the head on, since many guests wouldn't eat it and it would go to waste. He served the whole fish with the head removed, and all our guests were happy. Ming accommodated our vegetarian/vegan guests with a separate table of food that was so delicious the meat eaters started sneaking over to get some of their own. The price was exceptionally reasonable and there were no compromises on the food, which was excellent. We had a band & dancing, which all worked well. We did not ask for or get a written contract since my husband's family had eaten there for Dim Sum most Sundays for years. This made me a little nervous, but there were no disagreements or problems.

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at Prairie Star in May and are so glad we did! What really drew us to the venue were the beautiful views of the Sandias, the mostly-inclusive nature, the feeling of privacy, and the affordability compared to other venues in the city. All of these did not disappoint. We also LOVED the food; I had multiple guests tell me it was the best food they have had at a wedding. Rebecca and her team are professional and incredibly practiced at what they do, and on the day of the wedding everything was very smooth, even when we had to delay the outdoor ceremony due to rain and wind. The only hiccup we had during the planning process was not being able to confirm being able to use the space for a rehearsal; we were told it just depended on whether or not a wedding or event booked for the previous evening. We ended up doing a run through at another site so we could plan our rehearsal dinner, etc. Overall, we would definitely recommend Prairie Star for any wedding or large gathering!

Wow! I began communicating with Elizabeth at Rio Chama six months before our wedding to ensure the reservation on the date and time we wanted. No question was too big or too small for Elizabeth. She asked questions, too, which showed she was 100% involved in helping to plan our reception lunch. Elizabeth was fantastic in planning, organizing, and executing my wedding reception. Everything was set up and presented beautifully, the wait-staff was efficiently on top of their game (service was superb), and the food was perfect! The guests had a choice of four menu options (filet mignon, chicken breast, salmon, and vegetarian), and the numerous wait staff assigned to our event had the meals out in no time. I am still receiving compliments on what a beautiful wedding and reception I had, as well as calls for referrals. I am very fortunate to have met and worked with Elizabeth and Rio Chama Steakhouse. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME....AWESOME!!! We absolutely loved http://elfarolsf.com/ . Let me put it plain simple........... all my husband and I had to do was worry about getting there and getting dressed. Everything else was taken care of by Frida, El Farol's wedding coordinator. We had an awesome time. The food was just great!! The service was just as awesome as everything else El Farol had to offer. Our guest where all amazed at everything that El Farol had to offer. Frida thank you so much for everything you did for us before, during and after the ceremony. We absolutely LOVE El Farol!!!!

Mark & Bryan were wonderful! They worked with me on a menu for our guest, and were sweet enough to add kid options did our youngest two. Everyone is still raving about the amazing food and service

Season's was great for our reception space! We didn't have the ceremony there, but the reception was prefect: the food, service, price of food and drinks couldn't be beat! I highly recommend them for a reception of 100 people or less.
