Hi, my name is Shawn David. I'm an American photographer that calls Boise Idaho home. I have found that my favorite focus is people. Yep, taking pictures of just plain, regular, people that are exceptional deep down.

This discovery happened after having spent years photographing sports events, weddings, real estate, editorial, and stock photography. Photographs that are realistic and intriguing is my goal. My clients range from random people I meet on the streets, folks that need a headshot for Facebook or Twitter, editorial work, brides that realize a Lifestyle/documentary style is where its at, to corporate leaders that want to maximize web presence with a great images.

It all started back in 1985 when I bought my first camera at a pawn shop in Boulder, Colorado on the "Hill". Those were in the days of 35mm film and you had to wait to get your results back from the lab days later... I remember asking the man behind the counter, "...what are all these rings and knobs for?" He said, "... all I know is put film in here that says 100, put this thing on 125 and this one on 16 and you'll do just fine." That was an old Yashica. Since then I've shot Hasselblad, Canon, and now I shoot mirrorless Fujifilm "X" cameras and lenses (with a bit of polaroid and phone photos on the side).

My approach is not top secret or patented but my results will speak for themselves. If I'm not sipping an espresso I will be out taking photos.
