History
The Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum's history dates back to the 19th century, when it was built into Millionaires Row in 1870. The mansion was owned by two prominent Memphis families and was eventually passed to the city in 1959. The mansion wasn’t reopened until 1962, when the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities restored the house to its former splendor.
