Initially created as a logging camp in the early 1900's. Home to some of the oldest trees on the mountain, this special place has survived modernization, fire and economic hardship, remaining relatively unchanged through the last century. "The Willow Woods area was a campground in the 1923-1927 period, with a fee of 50 cents per night. There were restrooms and a water faucet. There was one 16' square war surplus tent for rent. In the late twenties, Lou and Grace Williams bought the lot and built three cabins for rent and a home for themselves on the highway. Over the years there have been a succession of owners, each one adding their own touch. It has been called Skyforest Resort, Shanty Town and now Willow Woods." ~ From The Memories We are a group of Chefs, Gardners, Shop Keepers, Artists, Organizers, Teachers, Bakers, and Care Takers who share a common philosophy and love for our mountains and for Willow Woods and in a larger sense about the simplicity of life. For your gatherings and intimate occasions, discover the romance of our early 20th century village. Once a resting place for the loggers and then a home for the honeymooners, your special event will be sealed in history and beauty. Come visit our grounds, a charming venue for your next event. We are so grateful to have our wedding at Willow wood park. We had a great rustic wedding. Louise York, the owner is awesome. She helped so much for our wedding. Eddie, the owner of the pizza place, is an amazing cook. We had a blessed to have them to help us out for our wedding. The food is so delicious. And service is great. I totally recommended to my friends and my family to have any events there.Sent on 09/24/2013

Wedding cancelled - no refund - avoid
Me and my fiancé booked Willow Woods Park, the area for our wedding in April 2020. Due to the lockdown in California it had to be cancelled, we lost our hard saved deposit as Willow Woods refused to refund it, citing it was ‘non-refundable’ – I suggested they subtract any costs incurred from the $1000 deposit and refund the remainder, fair in the circumstances. The wedding had only been arranged 8 weeks previously and my fiancé had visited the venue once for 30 minutes to pay the deposit and have a quick look around. I live in England and my fiancé in Los Angeles so I had not visited, just exchanged around 10 general emails. They used this 30 minute trip and the emails to justify keeping all the deposit saying they charged $200 an hour for ‘wedding consultation’. Nowhere had it been discussed that I wanted ‘Wedding Consultation’ or that I was happy to pay $200 an hour for it – only a few general emails were ever exchanged.Sent on 11/19/2020
Be wary when using this company, they will treat you very unfairly if anything goes wrong. I have given up trying to get the money back so now we have had to save up again! Thankfully we have managed to save up enough for a small affair in Las Vegas this Christmas – no thanks to the greedy Willow Woods Park! AVOID!!!!!!!
