“It felt like an enchanted forest from a storybook,” one of our couples wrote after their wedding. Willow Woods Park is a small outdoor wedding venue in Skyforest, California, five minutes from Lake Arrowhead, set 5,741 feet up among old-growth pines and log cabins from the 1920s.

We host weddings for 30 to 80 guests, with room for up to 100. That size is the point. You say your vows under an arch with a waterfall behind it, have dinner a short walk away under string lights, and dance a few steps from your table. A guest list of 45 fills the forest garden. Planning for fewer than 30? We make exceptions for smaller weddings, so ask us.

The park started as a logging camp in the 1920s and later became Skyforest Resort. The trees and cabins from those years are still here, and two of the cabins are now dressing rooms on the wedding day.

The same family has run the park for nearly two decades, along with LouEddie's Pizza, their artisan-pizza restaurant on the property. On the Premium package, LouEddie's serves dinner from one of two menus you choose between: a pizza dinner from their kitchen, or a carved buffet with two proteins and three sides. On the Traditional package, you arrange the catering yourself, through LouEddie's or an outside caterer we approve in advance. LouEddie's cooks vegan and gluten-free dishes for any guest who needs them.

Both wedding packages are priced per guest and include set-up, tables and chairs, linens, service staff for the whole event, cake cutting, clean-up and day-of coordination. There is no site fee and no service charge, and sales tax is the only addition. Katie, our lead coordinator, plans the timeline and layout with you. On the day, she handles your vendors and keeps everything on schedule.

We also host rehearsal dinners, including for couples marrying at another venue, as well as bridal showers, engagement parties and milestone celebrations.

A few house details: the bar serves beer and wine, music ends at 9 pm so everyone gets home safely, and you and your guests stay in Lake Arrowhead. Dogs are welcome, and so is every couple.

Tours are free, with no deposit, and Katie gives them herself.
