Great Wedding Venue

We got married here in October of 2022. This place was amazing with lots of places to get your pictures taken. Merry, the event coordinator, was absolutely amazing and made sure our day was perfect. This place is a great outdoor venue and my guest loved the property. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and accommodating. We loved them and recommended them highly.

We had our wedding reception at Wild Air Farms at the end of September. It is a beautiful, picturesque farm, with green hills, trees, and lakes stretching for miles. The value of the venue is unbeatable; however, you will need to rent a tent, tables, chairs, etc. and do most of the planning and work yourself. The event coordinator was nice, but it took her days to respond to my emails, and she forgot to meet us at the farm on one occasion with a vendor. Another bump we ran into was that in the contract I signed with the farm, it said I could have real candles under the tent if they met certain requirements. Later on, the event coordinator told me we absolutely could not have real candles under any circumstances. I was disappointed (real candles are cheaper and the light is more flattering than LED candles) but in the end decided it wasn't worth fighting over (it turned out it's law of the county - no candles under tents). But the day before the wedding, the Zionsville Fire Marshall showed up to "check on things" and ended up giving us a list of fire safety equipment we needed - including "No Smoking" and "Exit" signs and fire hydrants. We ended up having the rent the equipment and it cost $60. When I talked to the rental place, the owner was shocked that a fire marshall was called out to the property and that she had never heard of him being called out to a private event. I had to wonder if the event coordinator called him because she thought we would still use real candles. This venue is a great choice for brides on a budget, but expect it to be very DIY and consider hiring a wedding planner to help lighten the load.
