Incredible food and amazing team

Walter Burke Catering was an amazing choice for our special day! Honestly the best food I’ve ever had at a wedding. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. The whole team was a dream to work with and helped us create a menu that fit our dietary needs and budget perfectly. The chef is so talented. I couldn't recommend them more!

Great caterer at a difficult location!

We were very fortunate to work with Walter Burke for our wedding at Ghost Ranch on 9/8/23. They were a class act all around! Angela was extremely responsive (very important when planning a destination wedding in particular!) and great at making suggestions when we were lost on what foods to provide for our guests or how many drinks we would need. She was patient as we made changes to our meal options and lagged on decisions about our rentals. The staff day-of was absolutely top-notch - this was the definition "not their first rodeo." I was nervous because the venue is very remote, but they arrived on time and worked great with our other vendors and our coordinator to make sure the reception looked amazing (we rented chairs, linens, china, and flatware, and they were all high-quality).

We got a variety of small passed appetizers that were fresh and delicious, and a meal of New Mexican comfort food that left everyone full and happy. Henry, Barbara, Wanda, and the other fantastic staff made sure we were fed first and that our glasses were always full, and our guests mentioned they were impressed and felt well taken care of. Not to mention, the staff seemed genuinely excited for us and were just so friendly. This company is very organized and we can't recommend them enough!

Excellent food and service at Walter Burke!

Walter Burke catered our wedding reception and did a fantastic job. From the beginning, Angela with Walter Burke was exceptionally professional, responsive, and helpful. She even helped us adjust our menu last minute when we realized we had a guest with a severe food allergy. Walter Burke handled both food and decor at our reception and we were blown away by both. Several of our guests commented on how great the food was. We strongly recommend Walter Burke to anyone looking for a caterer in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area.

Best in NM!!

We would give 10 stars if we could!!! We picked walter burke because of the very good pricing and excellent reviews, and we could not have gotten better service. They catered our 8/7 wedding, which was a destination wedding for us. Even though we did not meet in person beforehand, they were so helpful, even going so far as to help us figure out table arrangements as they had catered our venue before. Day of, they showed up on time, had 1 conversation with my husband, and we did not have to think about anything after that! They got everything ready and beautifully set up, plus all the servers were incredibly kind, and, of course, great food. Thank you walter burke for making our big day that much better!!

The best caterer

Walter Burke catered our wedding and it was the best catered food I’ve ever had. They were so amazing to work with throughout the planning process, putting together a menu that reflected exactly what we envisioned for the wedding day. We also rented glassware, flatware, etc. from them and it was all beautiful. The staff that worked our wedding was amazing, and the bartender always had a glass of prosecco waiting for my new husband and me :) We primarily worked with Alexandra and she was so kind and professional throughout the whole process. We felt very lucky to have Walter Burke cater our wedding and would highly recommend them to anyone we know!

A Good Caterer Makes All the Difference

Walter Burke did a beautiful job catering our wedding. Alexandra was extremely knowledgeable and organized. The venue we picked had many rules to follow and she worked with us every step of the way. Henry was our captain for the wedding day and he was always two steps ahead of us (even being so kind to bring us glasses of water as we made our rounds and signature drinks during our photos). Having a good caterer made our wedding run so much smoother, I would 100% recommend Walter Burke to anyone getting married in NM they were invaluable to us.

Highly recommend!

Walter Burke Catering did an amazing job catering our wedding! Angela and Walter were great to work with. We had to alter our wedding plans because of COVID-19 and Walter Burke Catering made it possible even with the last minute changes. The food was incredible, the catering staff were professional and friendly and Angela did an awesome job as our day-of coordinator. We are so grateful to Walter Burke Catering and could not recommend them more!

You Can Stop Searching

This was by far one of the best vendors we worked with during the entire planning process and through the wedding. Starting with Angela, the lead event planner, the planning process was easy, Angela was so communicative and was quick in responses. We had a “destination wedding” so the tasting and deposit process needed to be packed into a tight schedule and Angela made it happen. Something that was extremely important to us, we were never pushed into one decision or another. We interviewed a decent amount of companies and they were pushy on staffing needs and insisted on the up sell, but we never felt that way with Walter Burke.

The food during the tasting and the Wedding was delicious. Our guests AND other vendors had very positive feedback.

The service on the day of was wonderful. The captain, server and bartender went out of their way, not just for us but all of our guests. We had an intimate wedding and they matched the mood perfectly.

In conclusion, we are so satisfied with Walter Burke. We would recommend to anyone in the area and highly praise everything about our experience.

Great choice for New Mexico wedding!

Walter Burke Catering was fantastic for our northern New Mexico wedding! They were professional, flexible, and responsive from our first email contact through to the wedding day. They were very open to our suggestions and worked hard to make sure the event was exactly what we wanted. Walter Burke provided appetizers for our cocktail hour, three New Mexican food stations for the reception, and two dessert options - and all of it was delicious! Deidre was very professional and a great lead for our event. She would take the time to check in with us, but did not overwhelm us with details. We are very happy with our choice to go with Walter Burke and we would gladly recommend them to anyone getting married in New Mexico.
