Fantastic Service at our Wedding

We had awesome service from Waldos BBQ. They showed up right when we wanted them to, got set up, and served people quickly. We had everybody tell us how good the food was. They also were able to work with us to get exactly what we wanted for service. You can't go wrong with Waldos!

I had my wedding catered by Waldo's BBQ and from the planning, to the day of the wedding, it was smooth sailing, Ray's 30 years in the food biz, was very evident along the way, my guest were impressed with food and service.

We ordered some of our food from waldo's and they didn't bring it to our wedding site but we opted to pick it up. The food turned out wonderfully and they provided a big container of bbq sauce. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

We knew we wanted BBQ for our wedding and Waldo's was the first place we looked. Ray was very attentive and always very easy to work with. The food and service the day of the wedding was better then I could have imagined. I was very impressed and my guests were as well. I would recommend Waldo's for catering anytime and already have to several people. Way to go Waldo's!!!!!

We used Waldo's BBQ Catering for our wedding on 3/29/09. We are extremely satisfied with the food and the customer service. Everything that we were hoping for in a caterer they provided. They were also able to accommodate us on a Sunday when nobody else would. We would definitely recommend Waldo's for any catered event!

Our daughter Jamie had Waldo's BBQ cater her wedding last year at the Mesa Arts Center. The catering sales manager was very easy to talk to and had great recommendations on what to choose from the menu. Jamie chose appetizers and the barbecue. The food was terrific, great flavor, from the pulled pork to the sides. The service was also wonderful. The catering staff was very friendly and dressed upscale. We didn't run out of food. It was an enjoyable reception all around. People commented on the delicious aroma of the BBQ in the air. We fed about 200 people and we got great comments about Waldo's. I would recommend them highly, five stars!

WE HAVE EATEN AT WALDOS BEFORE AND WERE QUITE THRILLED FOR THEM TO DO OUR WEDDING, RAY WAS ATTENTIVE, VERY EASY TO GET A HOLD OF,AND WAS VERY PROMPT. THE FOOD AND SERVICE WERE A DREAM COME TRUE. EVERYTHING FLOWED BEAUTIFULLY. I WAS IMPRESSED AS WERE MY 300 GUESTS, PLENTY OF FOOD, AND NOT A PROBLEM TO BOOK. GOOD JOB WALDOS!!

They gave us their undivided attention when we went for our first visit. The samples were fantastic and very filling. They were easy to reach throughout the 4 months leading up to the event. Quickly replied when we emailed them with various questions and concerns. Promised to provide plenty of food and drinks - WOW! there was enough food to feed well over the 85-90 we had at our daughter's wedding reception. We took home plenty of leftovers. Food was set up and ready for us to eat earlier than expected which was great news to the bride & groom because they were starving. Would highly recommend Waldo's for your catering event.

We knew we wanted barbecue, but it was Waldo's service by far that led us to choose them. When we expressed a wish to make sure our vegetarian guests were well fed, two other services basically told us to have them eat the side dishes, and certainly no one went as above and beyond for us. Ray at Waldo's contacted a colleague who ran a sandwich shop with veg choices, negotiated a reasonable price for us, and did this all BEFORE WE EVER SIGNED THE CONTRACT!

That initiative did a lot to sell us on Waldo's, but even when we'd already eaten there and determined that we liked the food (we have hard-to-please relatives from a bbq capital), Ray still prepared a tasting for us and treated us like guests while we discussed the contract. When we needed the times for service changed, we got it. When we needed extra time for service, we got it (and still, they came EARLY to make sure we had our appetizers). We served pies from a well-known chain for desert and they were more than willing to serve our pies as well.

On the day of, Larry was the team leader. As I said, he was early but he was warm, considerate, and put me very much at ease. He and his crew were polite and professional and took the initiative to pack up some of our extra food to give a few guests to take home.

Our guests loved the food and had nothing but great things to say about the service. I've already recommended them to many friends.

We had Waldo's cater our wedding at The Windmill Winery in Florence, AZ. The Windmill is elegantly rustic and we thought BBQ would be the perfect meal. The food was wonderful, all of our guests loved it! Waldo's was very helpful and flexible leading up to the event, we made some menu changes and they responded happily. I am, however, very disappointed with their post event responsiveness. We had an issue with one of our meat choices for the reception meal, it was actually set out as a cocktail hour appetizer. This was pointed out to Waldo's staff on site but it did not get corrected. This left us short one of our reception meal meat offerings and the meat set out at cocktail hour was not consumed by our guests (as there were already two other appetizer choices). The week after our wedding my husband contacted Waldo's to discuss the incident and was basically told that it was OUR mistake, that we had directed them to serve it for cocktail hour and that it was too late to do anything about it. Again, very disappointed that Waldo's did not step up and take responsibility for their error, even though we attempted to correct it at the time.
