Ulysses did a live painting for us at our wedding and it was absolutely perfect!! He was easy to work with and our guests really enjoyed watching the painting throughout the evening. We highly recommend using him for your wedding or event :)

Last minute we were referred to Ulysses by our coordinator as a fun and unique add on to our wedding. She shared that she had enjoyed working with him in a previous wedding and that he created a unique and beautiful product. I mentioned it to my fiance and he was definitely interested but had some questions. Ulysses was able to speak with me to answer all of them and was really kind and professional. He was able to meet with us the day before our wedding and get an idea of the venue and where to paint. He was a guest favorite and so much fun to work with! Our guests repeatedly mentioned how they enjoyed watching him work and what a special service he provided. The unveiling was such a treat! My husband loves our painting above everything from that day and it hangs in our livingroom. Thank you for an outstanding service, being so pleasant, and making such a special memory for us. I highly recommend him and this wonderful service.

My husband and I were lucky enough to be gifted this amazing experience of having Van Gogh and Merlot Live Painting done at our wedding and we couldn’t be happier!

We first met with Ulysses, the owner, about 4 months prior to the wedding where we discussed the process and got to know a bit about each other and what the wedding look and feel was like. He showed us samples of his previous works and tossed out some ideas of things to think about for what we would like our painting to look like.

About two months prior to the wedding we reconnected with Ulysses when we had finally settled on a few ideas that we were thinking of. From there we spent some time narrowing down our vision even more by discussing the pros and cons of the different ideas we were thinking. He also let us know what space he would need at the venue, ask what we would like him to wear and let us know he would be willing to accommodate any requests the venue might have of him.

The day before the wedding we met with Ulysses to actually walk through the venue and with the three ideas we had we were able to narrow it down to one! He took us to the spots we were thinking for the background and took photos of us in the poses we were envisioning. This actually helped us find exactly what looked good and made sense.

The day of the wedding he was set up and ready to go! He was dressed to blend in with the crowd and was patient enough to answer all the questions my nosey family had! We opted to not see the painting till the very end of our wedding before we were about to leave. It was so worth the wait and such an amazing surprise!

Overall the experience of working with Ulysses and Van Gogh and Merlot Live Paintings Events was so incredibly easy and enjoyable. We would highly recommend them based on that alone.

The painting turned out so amazing and we could not be happier with it. We have found a special spot for it above our bed and it fits in so beautifully. We plan to have Van Gogh and Merlot do another painting for us of our wedding for our one year anniversary.
