Dear Sabrina, thank you so much for taking the time to review our venue. I am deeply sorry that your wedding day was not the experience that you had envisioned. Unfortunately, certain events that happen unexpectedly can cloud our perspective and have negative effects on the way we see things, and we completely understand. The fact that your parents did not go to your wedding, one of life‘s most important events, must have been very hard and sad for you, but I am sure they wished they could have attended. I would like to take this opportunity to address some of the points you mentioned in your review. You pointed out, and I’m going to put it in your own words, “an elderly lady that answers phone in the morning. She was always so clueless and never knew anything.” Yes, she is elderly, but not clueless nor incompetent as you implied. She does wonderful work as a receptionist and her job is to answer the phone lines, she however does not know intricate details of our client’s accounts nor the actual numbers. We apologize if her lack of knowledge of the details of your event troubled you. Concerning the lack of a wedding coordinator, the package that you chose from the various ones that we offered was the Basic Package, which is, as a name implies, very basic and our most economical one, so it does not include a coordinator. When we made you aware of this fact and asked if you wanted us to add a coordinator to your package you declined, saying that a young gentleman by the name of Juan was going to help you coordinate your event. So neither Sarahi nor Juanita were acting as coordinators that evening, nonetheless they did help you out during the event. As for your coordinator, who as you stated, had the audacity to tell you that he could not provide you with more chairs than the ones you had previously asked for, had he or your party made it known to us, we would have provided you with the extra chairs. You also mentioned a bottle of tequila in your review, I believe you are referring to the bottle that Sarahi, one of the members of our venue’s personnel, opened at your request when she found you outside crying because your parents were not present. She served several rounds of shots from said bottle to give out to you and your bridal party at your request; you can be sure nobody besides you and your bridal party drank from it. In regards to the $499 that you said we wanted to charge you in order to turn one of our event rooms into a dressing room for your bridal party, unfortunately that is the price for that specific room. As we mentioned previously, you purchased the Basic Package, and it only included a dressing dressing room for you, not the bridal party, but we understand that you were on a budget, and that the price may have seemed excessive to you. Concerning the ceremony at the kiosk, yes the pictures on our online pages depict a lavish wedding ceremony, but we decorate our kiosk depending on the bride’s budget, so we are very sorry that your expectations of your ceremony exceeded your budget. Might we remind you, that your total budget for the whole ceremony including decorations was only $350. If we would have known you wanted extra decorations in the kiosk, we would have added some fantasy decorations without you having to spend more; we have ways of working with clients of all budgets to make their experience an amazing one. And finally, regarding the language barrier that you mentioned, just like your husband who is not bilingual, some of our staff members aren’t bilingual either, remember, we live in a border city, but we apologize for that too.
