Facilities and Capacity

Van Horn Estate boasts the capacity to host 150 guests for a traditional wedding celebration. The 12-acre grounds are yours to explore for the duration of your celebration and to get some much-needed alone time with your partner during the chaos of the day. The grounds also offer the perfect location to exchange amongst the flora and fauna of the area. The Mirador is a brand-new event space that overlooks the glittering waters of Squam Lake and the White Mountains. The Manor is available for more intimate gatherings of up to 50 guests, with the classic decor adding to the ambiance and atmosphere.

A magical weekend

My wife and I are so happy we chose to hold our wedding here, it was magical. The views were amazing, the space was beautiful, and our guests who stayed at the inn loved their stay. The staff were so helpful, professional and responsive every step of the way as well as the night of. The memories we made there will stay with us forever, and we would definitely recommend as a venue for any special gathering!

Wedding Rehearsal Dinner

My husband and I had our welcome dinner for our wedding weekend at the Van Horn Estate Pub. Hannah was extremely responsive and took care of everything for us. She helped to edit the menu based on our requests, provided decor options, and even printed menus and name cards for us. The venue was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The welcome dinner could not have been better, would highly recommend!

With a small party for our wedding (under 40), we wanted a polished, comfortable setting for our reception, and the option to have everyone hosted close to us so we could arrange multiple family events over the long weekend of our wedding.
The Manor on Golden Pond was absolutely the best choice we could have made, all around:
- Almost all our guests slept with us at the Manor, which made for a perfectly intimate family weekend
- The service was impeccable - absolutely. Everyone was courteous, professional and on top of their game.
- The food at the reception and breakfasts was truly delicious - all our compliments to the chef and kitchen team
- The rooms were spacious, elegant, and beautifully appointed
- The setting was upscale, luxurious yet still "human" to the delight of all our guests
- With a moderate budget we were still able to subsidize the cost of lodging for 2 nights for all our guests, the reception and two breakfasts. No other option came close to this, in cost or quite simply in how perfectly wrapped up the final result came to be.

Above all, working with Brian and the entire team at the Manor on Golden Pond was a true pleasure: with our every request, we were met with a "yes - can do" attitude, confidence and perfect professionalism. Brian helped us arrange for every detail, and even found us a wonderful pianist to accompany our Cocktail Hour.

Our stay at the Manor on Golden Pond was simply perfect, and we are truly glad we found this hidden gem.

Backed out of our wedding!!

AWFUL horrible thing to do!! Brian, the owner, agreed that he would host our small (17 guests including us) wedding, all we asked was to have a 30 minute ceremony in the (beautiful) lobby in front of the fireplace and to have a horseshoe table set up for dinner. Any questions we had would take him over a week to respond with us having to call and/or email a time or two for promoting. The last question my fiancé asked was if he could provide some recommendations for limo/photo as I was having difficulty securing something and am not familiar with the area. He did not respond for a week and when he did respond, he left me a voicemail stating that he can’t accommodate our wedding. WEEKS LATER! We created the invites already (who would have known this place was so unprofessional). He is incredibly unorganized and apparently will not offer the warm, timely support for couples who are planning their own wedding (which is stressful enough). This is so disappointing and no one should have to experience this. Weddings are a beautiful time, do not let this place ruin yours.
