My hair and makeup was everything I wanted and more. Tanja made me feel like an autumn princess! Not only was she able to work in a last minute hair piece, she was able to make a unique hair style work for me. Her assistant, Stephenie, was super considerate when working on my sister with sensitivities due to her autism. I was nervous the morning of the big day, but these two really helped make it a good time for all of us. Book Tanja, you won't be disappointed!!

Tanja is the best of the best!!! Everyone was beyond happy with hair and makeup - including myself. Not only is she talented, she is an amazing person as well. She has a natural talent of making everyone in the bridal suite feel at ease and comfortable!!

Not only was the wedding morning extremely organized because of Tanja, but so was the bridal hair and makeup trial.

Tanja was great! I bawled throughout my ceremony and my makeup lasted through it (definitely do airbrush). I had an outdoor ceremony on a very hot day and hair lasted AND it wasn't too hard to undo at the end of the night. She was so sweet and made me and my bridal party feel comfortable as we were getting ready. Bonus that she was so local to my venue The Tom Quick Inn.

Tanja is incredible. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet and her work is just beautiful. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day thanks to her. Her and her team helped all of my girls look gorgeous, too! We had so much fun that morning taking, listening to music, and getting ready. I can't recommend Tanja enough!

It was so easy to schedule a trial with her. Both my parents & I were welcomed into her home where we met her resident birds, dogs, cats, and Lilly the teacup piggy (she immediately started cuddling with my dad and it was just too cute). Since I rarely do my hair or use makeup, I was anxious about not being sure of what I wanted or how to describe it... but she was able to nail both on the first try after asking only a few simple questions. You can tell this was not her first rodeo =) I loved the look, and so I booked. 6 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 1 happy bride-to-be.

A few weeks prior, Tanja reached out and made sure everything was set. Despite some indecision on my part, she was very accommodating to last-minute scheduling changes. On the 'Best Day Ever', Tanja came to the Airbnb at 5 am (!) to do hair & makeup for me, and her support Stephenie came shortly afterward to do the makeup for the group. Tanja was great about communicating and made it easy to get everyone done AHEAD of schedule. Stephenie's lashes came out so fantastic on the first bridesmaid that I made everyone else get them... and she was so patient with the beauty requests my aunts had for my mom & even tweezed her eyebrows. Both of them went above & beyond and everything came out amazing. My makeup survived a muggy July outdoor wedding as well as multiple ugly cries throughout the day, and I went all out with the dancing and still maintained perfect curls at the end of the night.

I wish I had known what I was getting into before I booked this trial - in all fairness, Tanja is a very nice woman with a clear passion for what she does. She is an avid animal lover and a brilliant painter and all-around a kind soul. However, this was not the experience I had hoped for or expected and the final outcome was disappointing. I’m writing this review to provide honest feedback about my experience, both good and bad. Tanja does trials in her home, which is filled to the brim with cute but easily excitable animals. I don’t mean this to be rude or mean - I love animals, but I found it to be a stressful environment for a makeup and hair trial as there was a lot of barking and screeching. One of her cats in particular is extremely affectionate and will post up on your lap the entire time. This is very cute, but you will be covered in cat hair by the time you leave, so wear sweatpants! To be clear, my mother and I didn’t really mind (she’s a lovely cat) but if you don’t like cats you might be a little bit uncomfortable. Her studio is an intimate, dimly lit room with a low ceiling and no sources of natural lighting. As a result, I believe it was very difficult for her to color match our foundation. She didn’t use any base layers (moisturizer, primer, etc.) and airbrushed my face what I felt was the wrong color. The result was patchy and orange. At first it looked ok in the dimly lit room, but as soon as I saw myself in natural light I knew something was wrong. It didn’t look natural and photographed poorly. At that point, I didn’t think there was anything that could be done to fix it so I didn’t vocalize this. Perhaps I should have. It also didn’t wear well because she used eye shadow as liner instead of eyeliner so it bled shortly after application. I noticed she also didn’t set the makeup with finishing spray. Her makeup products looked a bit dated and possibly expired and unfortunately, my face started breaking out even before I got home. That said, she did do a great job braiding my hair and I really did like her eye makeup - with a little more finesse and better product it would truly have been great. For all of her hard work, I was sad that the outcome was not what I had envisioned. The trial was also very expensive. I wish it had gone better. I think customers should take this into consideration. I think Tanja could do a better job if her studio had better lighting and she updated some of her techniques and products. I do think she has the creativity and talent to do a great wedding hairstyle. She is a lovely person who clearly works hard and I wish her the best in the future.
