An excellent location for bringing our unique reception to life.
Our wedding reception was held in the large waiting room space (which is near where departures and arrivals for the occasional train come through). For the crazy low price point we had a very personalized and easy experience—the coordinator gave us a tour of the space, discussed options regarding seating and layout (including some massive curtains that they set up to keep the area private from the public, which was included), and it was just a very seamless experience. We ended up hosting an open-concept carnival-themed reception (candy bar, carnival snacks and desserts, face painter we hired on Craigslist, a photo booth, Hondo the Magician who is a phenomenal performer local to the Twin Cities, etc.) with approximately 150ish people, which the space easily accommodated and then some (I may even recommend that you only use a smaller section of the space if you have a smaller guest list). Our DJ was able to create a really nice dance area since the floors are naturally good for that, and his lights were able to create a cool atmosphere on the floors, walls and even up to the ceiling. We kept the party going until midnight and everyone had a blast. Would definitely recommend this event space for pretty much anyone as it can be so easily molded to fit your vision and wedding size.Sent on 05/13/2020
