My hair was wonderful - it was colored, i added some tracks for lengthen, and it was styled. Joyce was on time and even had time to do a few of my family members hair.

So I decided to get my hair done and I sent a picture to her with my hair being short to get locks done to start the dreading process. I decided on the length and the size to go medium(reminder I sent a pic of my hair being short.) I went to my appointment and got my hair done in less than a few days they started sliding out and then after five days about 75% of them came out. I sent her a message and she said she could redo it within two sessions with rescheduling several appointments. I try to make an appointment with her within a week but she was not available. She told me I could come on Sunday then something came up on Sunday for me to be with my family so I canceled. Then she told me since I canceled she was not going to do my hair at all and I pay this woman over $300. YES SHE SAID THIS. She said it was not her problem. I asked her why does it matter if she was going to have to do my hair and several sessions anyway with more than one appointment spread out. I had something to do with my family that Sunday and just canceled. Just a reminder my locs all came out. And She only gave me one day to be able to do it fir availability when I would have waited the following week or even the week after that. She told me it was a courtesy to do it in which I did not know as a courtesy after I paid her all that money given one day which was Sunday. My friend who is also a stylist explained that she should have made a recommendation as a hairstylist that is professional for smaller locks to hold my hair being shorter due to the weight of medium locs coming out. Which she said is part of being professional and knowing what works for certain girls length. She literally did the locks (8hours) and they came out in a day then all in a week. My problem is to tell someone you're going to redo it and then only give them one day is unprofessional. So after only one day of availability mind you she said she would do it over the course of a few appointments due to the work but said she wasn't going to is unprofessional. I can't believe I got scammed for a style that didn't last a week from her work that slide out. You cannot tell someone you can redo their hair after paying you $300 and then tell them that that you are not doing their hair now due to canceling one day (in which once again I didn't know it was a courtesy to have it done for one day). That is not professional after I paid all that money. I feel ripped off, disappointed, and honesty heart broken because it makes me feel she is not a good person. She after saying she would do something such as redoing it then flipping it after I couldn't come after one day (on Sunday) and then saying she's not doing it now because I missed a day and it was a courtesy. Just a reminder she already was saying she would do it over the course of several days as well anyway. So why would rescheduling one day matter? At the end of the day if you say your going to do something you should do it. She was going to span it out anyway or so she said with doing my hair. Also her energy is not good folks. This is how you know it's about the money if you tell someone your going to redo their hair regardless you do it! You can sense things being around a person and what they really are. Just remember $300. I never felt so betrayed and I am also a single mom who doesn't have money or help like that to be played like this. This is sad how the world is today. I can't believe she said because I had to cancel Sunday it was a courtesy for her to do it and she wasn't going to after my locs came out! ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If she will do one person this way she will do it to anybody!!!! Professional and how you do business is key and highly important!
