Hi there - welcome to the TLB Photography Wedding Wire site! My name is Kim Witaconis and I am the photographer for TLB Photography in Charlottesville, VA. The name TLB (or Three Little Birds) pertains to my life in multiple ways — my 3 beautiful young daughters, my 3 person team of wonderfully inspiring women, and my love of art and music. At TLB Photography, we are deeply passionate about each of our particular roles in the company. I, of course, thrive in all things artistic, most especially pertaining to people and their relationships with others. My photographic technique draws from emotion, interaction with other people and their environment, and individual beauty and essence in all beings. I love seeing a unique personality, style, and humanity in every person that I meet and to be able to capture these things in timeless images is truly a passion for me. I feel so honored to be a part of people’s day, whether it be a wedding or spending time with individuals and their friends and family, capturing the bonds and emotion among them.

When I am not taking pictures, I can be found going on adventures with my girls, camping, attending shows, hiking, or taking long drives. Ok ok…and eating. I love food! And recipes are an art too! I have a wonderful partner who shows me how to have fun in everything that I do, a beautiful mother in Northern VA who continues to teach me strength and independence, amazing friends across the state (and country!) who have helped shape me into the adult I am today, and as before mentioned…three little birds. Madison, Emma, and Olivia. You may have the opportunity to meet one of them as they have been known to assist me in portrait sessions! They are what keep my heart thumping, my days playful, and my time away from the camera…interesting ;-)
