A slightly smaller space, the parlor is regularly used to host cocktail hours and engagement parties. The large windows that line the walls of this room allow sunlight to fill the space, illuminating every detail and decoration. The terrace is an outdoor area that can accommodate up to 80 guests and overlooks downtown Birmingham. TJ Tower Events can host a range of different events from engagement parties and rehearsal dinners to ceremonies and receptions. The staff here are happy to assist wedding parties in the setup and cleanup of the event. Chairs, tables and other basic necessities are provided. Onsite bar and catering services can be arranged or couples can bring in outside vendors of their choice.

History

The Thomas Jefferson Tower opened to the public in 1929 and celebrated the opening with a week-long gala. The ornate marble entrance hall and the large ballroom were its most impressive features. Over time, the building has hosted two Presidents and many other dignitaries. Unfortunately, in 1980 and 1981, devastating fires damaged the building and forced it to close for a period of time. In 2014 an investment group headed by Brian Beshara of New Orleans bought the building and transformed it into apartments and beautiful event spaces.
