This review is for purchasing our wedding bands.
So we got engaged on a Monday and decided to get married Tuesday night, and booked an appointment for a civil ceremony on Thursday. That leaves only Wednesday for us to get everything. Since this was just the civil ceremony, we just got causally dressed for our union because we were saving our fancy attire for the BIG wedding. We didn't have time to shop around if it's going to be THE wedding bands, might as well buy one that comes in a blue bag. .. it doesn't come in a blue box!
The lady who helped us was more than fantastic. "Hi, can I help you?"
"Yes, we're looking for wedding bands."
"When is the wedding?"
"Tomorrow afternoon."
"Okay."
She asked us our budget, what kind of bands we were looking for and sized us up. While we were trying on this one and that one, she made us feel more comfortable with some small talk. "What do you do.." and when we told her my husband is a doctor for the US Marines, she stopped whatever she was doing, looked at him in the eyes and said, "You are a good person." Turns out her father and brother were also doctors for the military so she somewhat knew what he does.
We narrowed down the choices to two bands that were fairly similar. Since budget was also an issue, she let us know that since we were young, we did not have to "go big," at this time and can always upgrade with celebratory rings when we reach milestones. Agreed. Charged the cards, she then cleaned my engagement ring so it would be "perfect and shiny tomorrow," and we were on our way.
