History
The historic White-Pool House is the oldest remaining structure in Odessa, Texas. Built in 1887, the two-story red brick house was built by Charles and Lucy White and their two sons. After oil was discovered in the area, bringing an influx of people into the Permian Basin, Oso Pool bought the home and turned it into a five-unit apartment house. For the next 50 years, ownership of The White-Pool House was transferred between members of the two families, eventually being donated for historical preservation. The house, newly restored to its original state, represents two decades of Odessa history.
