Everyone should get married here! We had an absolutely perfect wedding day with zero problems or drama- all thanks to owner Jana Padgett and coordinator/planner Ashley Thompson.

Jana is one of those people you run into so rarely, who truly loves her work and seems born to do it. Jana built the Barn specifically to be a wedding venue, and it shows. She has thought of everything. The bride's room is huge and comfortable, with every amenity you could want or need. You have your own private bathroom, seating for five people to get ready at once, with two hairdresser's chairs also. Mirrors everywhere. She's even got special wiring, so you can have hairdryers and flat irons running all at once without worrying about a short.

The boys have their own space with a TV, games, a humidor for cigars, and plenty of room to get ready. If they're bored, Jana will let them fish near their house before the ceremony!

Jana was present personally throughout our rehearsal and wedding day, solving problems and making sure everything ran smoothly. She had a special planter outside, where the guests walk in, that she had planted fall colored flowers in to match my theme! I could have cried.

Another example: I had an orange frosted cake that showed up more of a neon orange then the burnt orange we had aimed for. I heard nothing about it. Jana just asked permission to add some greenery, then turned the lights down in that corner and it honestly looked perfect. I would have never known if a bridesmaid hadn't spilled the beans the next day.

The highlight of the Barn is definitely the floral chandelier. Jana got up their and filled it with faux flowers that my mom and I bought a few days before my wedding, then got up again day of to add real roses provided by my florish (BouqYard, another incredible wedding vendor!). Jana also went out and cut fresh greenery from the woods around her house to decorate the loft and other areas.

And Ashley, their in-house coordinator is an absolute gem. I also hired her as my planner, and she felt more like a friend by the time of our wedding. She helped with every decision, and seemed to know just about everyone in town. When I selected a baker that she didn't know, she asked around with all her connections to make sure they were legit. We actually hired most of our vendors based of Jana and Ashley's recommendations. They are so serious about weddings and will not recommend someone who is anything less than perfect and professional.

I could go on and on. We didn't do anything day of. Ashley, Jana, and Theresa with Bouqyard set up and broke down all our decor. Oh, did I mention the Barn has a massive decor closet that's included in the price of your rental? Yep, I didn't buy a single candle, jar, easel, or scrap of fabric. Jana and Bouqyard had everything. Jana's staff was so wonderful. Someone made sure we always had a drink in our hands, that we were always where we were supposed to be, and that we were always having fun!

I'm getting a little emotional just thinking about how lovely, warm, and kind everyone was. I really felt so taken care of throughout the entire process. There is no other venue in the state that compares. Jana and Ashley, you are both so wonderful and I will be thankful forever for how joyful and easy you made our wedding. Jana, my mom still wants to be your best friend! To everyone else, please book a date before the rest of the world realizes what they're missing out on!

We celebrated our daughter’s marriage and reception at The White Barn at Padgett Pace in early June 2024, but the meeting and detail work began a year before that after we met and fell in love with the venue and the team (Jana and Ashley). If you don’t want things done to perfection, don’t choose The White Barn at Padgett Place! The venue is beautiful, and a lot of thought went into the design of the property. Jana as the proprietor is just outstanding and works to make your day/weekend special. Ashley is the onsite wedding planner who we highly recommend hiring for your event as well. Jana had wonderful suggestions related to the wedding and reception details and Ashley’s preferred vendor list (at least the ones we chose) were outstanding. Ashley worked with us nailing down details and was my right hand at the reception making sure everything happened as we planned, down to making sure my daughter the bride and her new husband had the beverages of their choice in their hand throughout the reception. Not to mention she and our bartending crew managed the “fob and mob special drink set back” we had. We feel like we lost close friends after the wedding weekend after working so closely with Jana and Ashley for that year. We highly recommend The White Barn at Padgett Place for your wedding event.

We must have toured every venue in North Alabama. After all, when you're planning a wedding, and you're the mother of the bride everything has to be perfect. From the moment we stepped through the doors at the White Barn at Padgett Place, we knew that "this was the perfect place". But what made the White Barn the perfect place is probably not what you'd expect. It wasn't the rustic charm of the barn, or the beautifully designed interior, or even the peaceful waterfront ceremony space. Although, these elements do make it the most gorgeous venue in our area. For me, it was the overwhelming feelings of love and family that envelope you as soon as you walk through the doors. Jana's ability for making Your Day the Most Special Day is the absolute greatest gift. Her passion and purpose carry over into every single detail. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Jana and her team managed all of the details of the day, so that I could be fully present for my daughter on the biggest day of her life. They were AMAZING!
