The Refectory was a perfect location for our rehearsal dinner. Sandra Losco was great to work with - she met with us personally to give us a tour, then was informative, quick to respond, and open to any special requests we had as we planned our event. We had passed hors d'oeuvres and champagne followed by a three course meal with wine pairings in their Choir Loft, which everyone enjoyed, naturally - the food and service were of the same high-quality that The Refectory always delivers, and it was nice to have our own private yet ample space within the restaurant. We had been concerned about having everyone travel out to the Refectory, as the rest of our events and hotels were downtown, but it turned out to be easy with most people taking Uber!

You may know the Refectory as a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion, but have you considered it as a "venue" for your special event? We wanted a small intimate setting for our wedding and the Refectory turned out to be just the place. They have 2 beautiful private rooms. We had 26 guests and had plenty of space in the larger room. We were leaning toward having the reception dinner there when we discovered we could also have the ceremony there and it was great! The room was set with chairs in rows and a huge old fireplace as a backdrop for the ceremony. After the ceremony we took a few pictures while our guests enjoyed some drinks and hors d'oeuvres on the patio. During this time, they reset the room for dinner. Service was impeccable and made us feel very special. The food was delicious and the options for larger parties and not as expensive as some of the "fancier" things on their restaurant menu. You will have to work with them a little on timing if you are going to do things that utilize areas outside your room (ie: we used the patio area before they opened for the evening). I highly recommend the Refectory as an elegant and special venue that was an economical option for us and so easy to work with. (Decor included - no need to worry about all that stuff yourself!)
