Fantastic Wedding Venue for Elegant San Antonio Affairs
This venue was so dreamy for our big day. Neither of us wanted a venue that felt like it had a ranch or farmhouse aesthetic (which is very popular in Texas); instead, we were hoping for something more elegant and upscale for a formal wedding. This was the perfect place. The staff was communicative, responsive, calm, and prepared. The day went by without a hitch and I never once worried about details because the venue staff was SO well-prepared! This venue was worth every penny, and I'd do it all over again.

I absolutely LOVED this venue! Not only is it gorgeous, but it was perfect for the type of wedding my husband and I wanted. It was huge and allowed our guests the option to hang out outside or cool off inside. I wish we had been able to chose a different date (ours was June 5th) because it was incredibly hot outside and there was very little wind.
The landscape is perfectly manicured and just naturally beautiful so we didn't have to worry much about decorating. It's very classy, but not snobbish which is why I loved it so much. We had a somewhat casual wedding at a very elegant venue (we even had Rock Band in the basement).
The staff was just amazing the day of the event! They were there like guardian angels anytime I needed anything. One girl even redid my hair for me! They were great. Up until the event, there is little or no contact with the staff unless you use Outside the Box as your planners/ coordinators (as they own the Mansion).
It was pretty pricey (there were a lot of fees that I didn't realize we'd pay until after we got the bill). Just about every vendor used charges 15% extra as per what Red Berry charges them. We had a very small wedding and it was still close to $30k for everything. Realistically, you'll spend at least $25k on a small wedding if you choose to have it here.
Lastly, be advised that its physical location is a little uninviting. It is located in the middle of a industrial area and the neighborhoods around it look a little trashy, but once you are inside the gates you'll forget about the trip there. Don't be put off initially by the drive there. Similarly, there are no hotels around that are in anyway decent. Your best bet for out of town guests is to stay downtown or close to the airport.
Other than that, I couldn't have been happier with the venue. I couldn't have picked a more beautiful location. The compliments never stopped. Everyone said it was the most beautiful venue they had ever seen. I was so fortunate to have had it there and highly recommend it if you aren't super stuck-up but enjoy nice things :)
