I met Sam and Shelby at a wedding expo in Portland and I new immediately that I wanted their services for my wedding. To start, we did an engagement shoot about 8 months before the wedding and it was so much fun! I've never been one to like having their photo taken and they made us feel so comfortable and natural. The day of the wedding, they arrived at the venue just before I did and they helped make the day go so smoothly! So many people have told me how impressed they were with their professionalism and friendliness. The photos came out so perfectly with a great mix of posed and candid shots. My husband and I decided to not have a videographer for the day, so there was a lot at stake with these photos and I couldn't be happier with the end results!!! I highly recommend hiring their services. You won't regret it!

We had a great experience working with Sam for our wedding day photos and I'd recommend him to anyone. He asked a lot of thoughtful questions during the intake call that gave us confidence he understood the style we were going for and was the right person for the job. We didn't want too many of the dramatic poses or over-the-top edits, just someone to capture crisp, candid moments throughout the day and organize them into a story. Sam's photos beautifully captured the lighting and colors of our venue in an authentic fashion that aligned with our own memory of the day. Sam and his partner Shelby were also just very pleasant people to have around on our wedding day. They bring a warm presence and know how to put groups at ease during an otherwise stressful day (the fact that my 3 year old nephew successfully posed and stared at the camera for once during our family photos is a testament to this). If you show up with an open-mind of the style of photos you have in mind, Sam will make sure to cover all that while also using his expertise to capture some other fun shots along the way that you'll be glad you have.

Sam deserves more than five stars. Having him as our wedding photographer was our miracle and an honor. We all want the best photographer for the best day of our life. My wife and I also read many reviews and asked around. We ended up at this wedding expo, where we found Sam. There were many photographers at this event, and Sam just shone among all those photographers. His passion, love, and talent for his work are beautiful. And we were so right about him. He took unbelievable quality pictures; every picture is a piece of art. It was way above our expectations. We have never regretted having him as our photographer, and we are hiring him again for our reminder wedding in 20 years :) Don't hesitate to hire him so he can continue his passion until our reminder wedding! He will make your happiest memories even happier.

Sam took our engagement photos and our wedding photos, and we had a blast both times. He is professional, kind, communicative, and fun to be around. We don’t get our photos taken often, but Sam made us feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. We loved our engagement photos and we can’t wait to see our wedding album! We will definitely work with Sam again in the future.

We had an awesome time with Sam. Our steep hike led us to a beautiful waterfall tucked away in the Willamette valley. Kudos to Sam for keeping up with us off-road and on the trail and getting some amazing shots! He made the experience fun, relaxing, and adventurous. He captured our spirit and we can’t wait to shoot with him again.

When I originally booked a session with Sam for couple photos I was nervous to tell my boyfriend what we had in store.. he hates being in front of a camera and often refuses to have friends take simple iPhone pictures of us. After accomplishing a small hike to get us to an amazing location my worries were laid to rest. Sam was such an easy going photographer it helped my boyfriend feel at ease. Our pictures turned out more than fabulous and the memories we made meeting Sam and spending time getting to know each other will last even longer. It felt like we just spent a day in the mountains with friends hiking and having a good time. You will forever thank yourself when you book Sam for any photography needs.
