We hosted our welcome dinner at the Hallmark Resort in Newport. Beki (Director of Catering) was absolutely amazing and helpful in setting up the event. She was very responsive and patiently answered my many questions. Beki even made sure that the flower centerpieces at our dinner were in our wedding colors! We selected the Northwest Feast buffet dinner and the food was excellent. Our guests had a great time and we received many comments about how great the food was. The staff was professional and courteous and they did a great job making sure guests knew where to go on arrival. Depending on how much experience you have hosting events (ours was 40 people), you might want to consider adding an event coordinator so that you don't have to worry about directing the event (e.g., inviting tables to head to the buffet area once the food is served). We could not have asked for better service and support for our event and we are very thankful to Beki and the team at the Hallmark Resort for making our welcome dinner a success!

This was the perfect venue for our wedding. The hotel itself was lovely. If we could've, we would have stayed in that hotel forever. The staff were amazing and the hotel itself is fantastic. Very nice but also affordable. The huge Admiral's Suite (our room) had a jacuzzi tub, fireplace, kitchen, and balcony overlooking the ocean. Beki Heuth, the director of catering (i.e., wedding planner/coordinator extraordinaire) made the whole process of planning a destination wedding a breeze. She was so incredibly helpful and responsive. That woman is a magician. Seriously. We don't know how she does it, but she does. And she does it extremely well. Everything surpassed our expectations. Her catering team also was incredible. They were so enthusiastic and helpful. One of the things we appreciated most about this venue was their flexibility. We picked an all-inclusive package deal for the ceremony and reception (that was totally affordable), and they customized it for us.
We can't say enough about Hallmark and their staff. :)
