Located in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire, The Envio is a modern wedding venue. This elegant property sits near the Piscataqua River, and is attached to AC Hotel Portsmouth Downtown Waterfront. From this third-floor space, you can take in your picturesque surroundings, from the bridges to the ships in the port. This venue welcomes rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions, alongside elopements. Couples are also invited to host pre-wedding gatherings here, including engagement parties and showers.

Facilities and Capacity

With 4,390 square feet of available event space, The Envio can comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests. The ballroom can be divided into three smaller rooms for more intimate gatherings. Before beginning the celebrations, guests can mingle in a comfortable pre-function space. This area offers floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace where attendees can enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views of the city. Cocktail hours can also be hosted on this terrace, allowing the newlyweds to catch up with their loved ones. The ballroom is outfitted in neutral tones and filled with natural light, lending itself to any decor scheme. A second event space, Marea, is found on the first floor. This smaller banquet hall is designed in similar colors, and also features floor-to-ceiling windows to illuminate the room with sunlight.

Services Offered

Wedding packages at The Envio include the assistance of an experienced event coordinator to help make the process as simple as possible. Guests can also work closely with corporate chef Ken Lingle to design their dream menu. The culinary team is happy to create a custom wedding cake to complete the memorable menu. Couples and their guests can enjoy drinks from an open bar for cocktail hour. In addition, silver Chiavari chairs and customized linens are provided to further elevate the day.

Cuisine

Food at this venue can be served in a variety of ways, from passed hors d'oeuvres to a plated banquet. Special meal choices are provided for younger guests, including cheeseburger sliders, fruit cups, and breaded chicken tenders. Entrees for the other guests include roasted rack of lamb and pan-seared rainbow trout. Food can also be served from stations, whether you want seafood or pasta.

Best venue of all time!

WOW WOW WOW! The first reason we picked The Envio as our venue was because of Katryn, the Envio's wedding director. Katryn has done 600+ weddings and she is still not sick of them (I had one and I was over the planning LOL). She was SUPER helpful, SUPER organized, SUPER sweet and made all our dreams come true for the most PERFECT wedding. Honestly the worst thing was it went too fast. My favorite thing was seeing everything come together that I planned for a year and a half and that is because Katryn and her team made it look spectacular! Every little detail was so perfect and Katryn smiled with every little nit picky thing I requested. :) The venue speaks for itself, but Katryn made our life and our wedding so easy and beautiful!

Best Venue Ever!

Before booking The Envio, we had seen and heard great things! When starting our hunt for the perfect venue, we needed to ensure certain requirements: great food, convenience, modern look, flexibility, amazing staff. The Envio checked off all the boxes! We worked with Katryn and Alex, who are absolute All Stars! They were super accommodating and thorough every step of the way. They made sure we didn't miss a beat. All of our guests raved about how our wedding was the best they've ever experienced. And that is largely due to The Envio team showing them a great experience. Often times as the wedding couple, you don't know exactly what you want when it comes to certain details. Katryn and Alex were both able to make great suggestions, which helped our decision making overall. The food, was amazing from the past apps, to the stations, to the main course. Bar service, incredible. It had everything our guests needed. Hotel rooms, super modern, bright and clean! We loved how easy it was to get from the room block to the function area. You are in great hands when booking with The Envio team. Don't look anywhere else. This is your spot!

Perfect wedding day!

Our daughter was married 12/3/22. Everything about the day was clearly outlined by Katryn and staff. To say things were perfect would be an understatement. Every guest has commented more than once what an awesome wedding it was. Every attention to detail was handled by the amazing staff!

Excellent venue

The Envio was the perfect host for our New Years Eve wedding. Katryn was so helpful and responsive in the months of planning prior. The day of I was pre-occupied with getting myself and the bridal party ready, so I dropped off boxes of decorations (table cards, centerpiece items, cake decor, ect) and Katryn and her team set up the area beautifully. The service and food were excellent. The outside deck is a nice addition. It overlooks the water and was decorated tastefully with lights and furniture. The location of the Envio is great for exploring Portsmouth as well with a short walk to bars, restaurants, and the water. The hotel was very accommodating to my guests (we booked about forty rooms with no problem, at a discounted rate). In these days of COVID being a factor to take into account with such a big event, The Envio was very accommodating. Everything from the rooms to the venue were well cleaned. My guests had a wonderful time and were treated with great courtesy. I cannot speak more highly of the Envio and of Katryn and her team. It was truly beautiful and a day I will cherish forever.

The best day of my life

I had my wedding reception at The Envio in Portsmouth, NH and it was definitely the best day of my life! This venue has the best package options ever from plated dinners to buffets and premium open bar. There are so many ways to customize your day with linens, decor, signature cocktails and lighting that will make your day far from "cookie cutter". The entire hotel is very sleek and modern but the event floor is even more beautiful and also dynamic. Not only do you get a ballroom but you also get a hallway area with couches and an amazing terrace with cafe string lights. Having these various areas for my guests to sit and hangout was perfect, you can dance indoors and then step out to cool down and get some fresh air on the balcony... best of both worlds! I worked with Katryn Treamer, she answered all of my many questions and she made sure every detail came to life, down to making sure I still got to try the appetizers even though I was out taking photos during cocktail hour to helping me bustle my dress before I made my entrance! I would definitely recommend The Envio.

Great Venue and People!

Our experience with The Envio and their staff was amazing from beginning to end. They really took most of the stress away that comes from planning a wedding and guided us every step of the way in the planning process. They executed the wedding day exactly how we had envisioned and discussed. A month later, we are still getting comments about how wonderful the wedding was and how delicious the food was. We highly recommend this place to any couples looking to get married in Portsmouth.

Amazing venue, great and professional staff , delish food , reasonable cost

Our wedding Was canceled in 2020 due to Covid Katryn from the AC hotel Was very accommodating as we reschedule to 2021, she has always been available with any questions that I had,The venue is beautiful the food is delicious, I feel everyone bent over backwards to make my day special. I had the very best day August of this year.All my guests raved How perfect the day was how delicious the food was drinks were good. I absolutely have nothing negative to say I would recommend this venue to anyone and the staff is amazing.Plan on staying at the hotel because the room are gorgeous

Amazing!!! Highly recommend!!

The Envio at the AC Hotel was exceptional!! We had our wedding in June 2021 after having to move our date and venue from March 2021 due to COVID. We loved everything about the venue and hotel. Our guests were so happy with both as well. It was so convenient having the hotel connected to the venue!!! We did our ceremony at the venue, so no travel, no hot buses!! Katryn was the best and she made wedding planning a breeze especially during COVID! Katryn went above and beyond and answered all our questions in a timely manner! This venue will honestly help you with almost any request (within reason)! By booking the Envio you will guarantee yourself stress free planning! We also loved that they recommended small businesses in the area for florist etc. The cake was included in the package and also done by a small business.

Exceeded expectations

Leading up to the wedding there was multiple things that needed changing because of the pandemic. Katryn was our coordinator and was very responsive. Management of the hotel was always professional and kind. The day of our wedding we did not have to worry about anything. We were very pleased.

The BEST experience; Highly Recommend

If you're looking for elegant wedding venues near the Seacoast of New Hampshire, The Envio is the place to start! We had initially planned to be the first Bride & Groom to have a reception at The Envio (conveniently located at the newly constructed AC hotel in downtown Portsmouth). Unfortunately, COVID had other plans for us and we had to change our date twice.

We planned our reception long-distance and the staff at the Envio, especially Katryn, helped curate the most fabulous reception with stress-free planning. They went above and beyond to help us select vendors, including a high-end wedding designer, DJ, and Officiant. All the little details from developing a signature drink, a feature wall, table set-up with round and square with soft-seating, gift bags for the out-of-town guests and making everyone feel safe and welcome.

After the wedding, the most compliments we received were about the food at the reception. More than one person told us it was not only the best food they had ever eaten at a wedding, but the best meal of all time! "The steak was better than any I've tried at STK and all the expensive steak houses".

Since half of our guests traveled across the country to see us get married, it was really important for us to have the most memorable reception. The Envio knocked it out of the park. We wouldn't have changed a thing - even the rain. :)
