The Crooked Road Ceili Band is a lively Irish-American folk music trio who bring an energetic infusion to traditional melodies, weaving a wholly unique and melodic experience for receptions, ceremonies, and Scottish or Irish ceili dancing. The word "ceili," (pronounced "kay-lee") is Gaelic for "party," and we are enthusiastic about providing a festive atmosphere for you and your guests.
The Crooked Road Ceili Band features Julie Horner, David Chadwick, and Ken Bewick playing traditional Irish tunes on the hammered dulcimer, fiddle, Irish banjo, guitar, and bodhran. We especially enjoy customizing our repertoire to your occasion, learning new tunes or songs (Irish or otherwise) to make your day extra sweet.
Our roots go deep in the San Francisco Bay Area Irish music scene, playing for Irish set dancing at the Plough & Stars Irish Pub and hosting Irish seisiuns at O'Flaherty's Irish Pub in San Jose, Rosie McCann's Irish Pub and The Poet & Patriot Irish Pub in Santa Cruz. Come meet us! We look forward to sharing our love of Irish music with you!
All the very best,
Julie, David, and Ken
