The Catered Affair was THE CHOICE for our wedding day! Food is so important to us, so at the time of the tasting we were nervous (our one and only wedding day how could we not be?!). Upon arrival to their main office, we had an "almost newlyweds" spot reserved right out front. Dish after dish that came out for us to try was so good, it was hard to choose what to not include - we loved it all! TCA was open to our feedback, and customized one of their dishes to exactly what our vision was. They also went off menu, offering pirogies to speak to my polish heritage. A month before the wedding we did a walkthrough with all vendor teams at my venue. Their expertise & professionalism shined. The TCA team asked questions that I never even would have ever thought of, and all the while further strengthening our trust and decision in them. Come wedding day, all we can say is WOW. The food was most spectacular, even better than the tasting! Each piece from the passed bite, to the charcuterie, to the plated dishes and the hand made desserts, they were each a true work of art. It was all beautiful and so tasty. Our guests are still raving about it! The open faced tenderloin gave us a bit of nerves in how it would come out temperature wise - IT WAS PERFECT. Our only regret - we didn't need to rent those steak knives, it cut like butter! You cannot go wrong in enlisting the TCA team on your event journey. They are THE BEST and should you choose, you will be so grateful that you hired them! THANK YOU TCA Team, we will never forget this. :)

Amanda Gallagher and our entire team at The Catered Affair were everything and more!!! Words could never accurately express how wonderful TCA is. From the entire planning process to game time execution, The Catered Affair was a huge part in making our wedding everything we could have ever hoped for. The Catered Affair will take all of the necessary steps to make sure your event runs seamlessly. They are true professionals. The food and bar at our wedding were unheard of. From the tasting event to the day of, TCA knocked it out of the park. Our guests are RAVING!! If you have the opportunity to have them on your team, they are a MUST. Still reliving everything in our heads over and over again!!! Truly our dream wedding at the BPL!!

I could not be happier with our experience at the Boston Athenaeum and using The Catered Affair! I am not exaggerating when I say that this wedding was one of the best experiences of my life, and the venue and catering company was a huge part of why it was so successful.

At first I was a little hesitant about TCA because they were a catering company that automatically came with the venue, but I am so happy to have worked with them. Everything was exceptional; the food was the most surprising thing, as wedding food is usually "fine" but the food that TCA prepared for our wedding was something basically every guest commented on as exceeding their expectations. The coordinator that worked with us was very professional and made the planning process as simple as possible while also being very mindful of our vision; furthermore, the day of the wedding, the coordinator (Amanda) was EXTREMELY helpful, making sure we ate and also kept track of where we needed to be and when.

This venue and catering company is very expensive, but if you are able to swing it financially, I think the value is there, and we could not be happier with how the day ultimately turned out. Highly recommend!

I cannot say enough good things about The Catered Affair. My husband and I and our families are all really into food, so we knew that finding a quality caterer for our wedding would be a challenge. Immediately, the menu tasting we had with TCA put us all at ease. Not only was the food delicious, but the team was really receptive to feedback and seemed truly happy to adjust details to our preferences. The menu they made for us was fantastic and really felt like a reflection of our lives and families.
Some extra details: it was important to my dad that he be able to cook something for our guests, and TCA was happy to plate and serve his dish as one of the appetizers. Plus, my parents hired a guest chef/ pittmaster from Texas to smoke slow-cooked barbeque in honor of my Texan husband and new in-laws. I thought TCA might be put off or insulted, but they really seemed excited to have the opportunity to learn from him and everything worked together beautifully. I've honestly had friends say they are still dreaming about the food at our wedding!

The Catered Affair was the beyond amazing for our wedding day. Danielle was our coordinator throughout the planning process and all the way to day-of. She gladly customized our menu to make it unique and personal to us, which was so special and appreciated. The food the day-of was just as good, if not better, than at our tasting. Our guests were RAVING about every course. The service team was personable and professional. Our server introduced herself to us the moment we sat down and was attentive throughout the entire dinner service - VIP status! The venue was logistically challenging, but Danielle and Kelly took it upon themselves to do a site visit on the Cape to figure out the best plan of action. They so seamlessly planned around the challenges of the venue that no one knew any differently. I can't recommend The Catered Affair enough! Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our night so memorable for us and our guests!

TCA has the most delicious food of any catering company we have ever eaten with, not to mention, working with Faith and her team was such an enjoyable and smooth process. We continue to hear rave reviews from our family and friends who were at our wedding, and we ourselves can’t stop talking about every meal we had that night. Everything from the salads, to desserts, to our specialty cocktails was superb. We would absolutely recommend working with The Catered Affair for your Boston area wedding or event!

We worked with TCA and Amanda Gallagher for our September 2022 wedding at the Boston Public Library and had a truly incredible event. The food was incredible - so many of our guests said how it was the best catered food they ever had and was on par with fine dining in the city. When my mom was unable to attend the group tasting, Amanda accommodated a second tasting on a weekend for us and also helped us customize our menu and signature cocktails (which our guests have not stopped raving about). Amanda and her team were so professional and great to work with. I would recommend TCA and the Library to anyone and hope to have an excuse to use them again for another event!!

Knowing that we wanted to get married at the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), we quickly found out that The Catered Affair was the exclusive event planner for the ICA. I cannot say enough about how helpful this team was throughout the entire wedding process! They provided a preferred vendor list, coordinated with the rental company, organized the day-of timeline with each vendor, created an incredible menu, and ensured our wedding day went perfectly! Amy and Kelly had incredible attention to detail and helped our wedding vision come together. On top of all of the event coordination, TCA truly delivered EXCEPTIONAL food! We had six incredible passed apps, a mezze spread, signature cocktails, a two-course main meal, and late night snacks.

TCA thought of everything; they even assigned a dedicated server to us to make sure we got to try every food item and always had a drink in hand! We would highly recommend TCA for any event!

With all of the restrictions due to Covid, we thought our weddings dreams had been irredeemable until we met with Ken. Ken and the team at TCA genuinely made our dreams come true! They thought outside the box, and made it happen! Not to mention, the food is outstanding! Our guests are still raving about it weeks later. The service was impeccable. Especially Mariska and Sarah who paid special attention to my husband and I. We never went without a drink or a particular hors' devours that I had noted was delicious. They went above and beyond to make our dreams wedding a reality, and the they even left a small steak in my fridge labeled "dog" with a heart for our little guy. For any and all catering needs, I will certainly always recommend TCA. I would give them 7 stars if I could! Just amazing.

Erica and her team went above and beyond the entire process and day of. She was such a pleasure to work with. She made us feel so welcomed and understood our vision for the big day. The food was THE BEST most clean, organic, fresh, delicious food I've ever had. We even got to meet the chef during our tasting. My hubby and I want to go back every year on our anniversary so we can have the delicious food again. The presentation and attention to detail was also 5/5. Erica went over every single detail with us even how they'll fold the napkins for the reception tables. She is very detail oriented and the absolute best at her job. I can't say enough wonderful things about this caterer. I am SO happy we were referred to them. BOOK THEM!
