Here at The Cakery we strive to give you handcrafted desserts that will not only look beautiful but taste amazing! We have been in business here in our Fishkill location since 2015 and prior to that began in 2012. With a dedicated and wildly talented team of bakers and decorators, you are absolutley in the right place for any and all dessert needs. Have you had an opportunity to try our treats yet? I hope the answer is yes! But, if you have not, please check us out online to order a cake tasting to go! A trendy twist on a traditional cake tasting, order the box you'd like to try, and tell us when you would like it ready for pick up at our store! We prepare it fresh for you, just like we do with all of our made to order goods, and you take it home to enjoy with your other half, friends and/or family!

Wedding Cake 11.12.23

The Cakery was incredibly easy to work with from start to finish!! Their take home kit was such a fun spin on cake tasting as we got to mix and match right from the comfort of our own couch. They absolutely nailed the beautiful design we asked for and their flavors cannot be beat!! Our guests are still talking about our funfetti and raspberry jam cake.

Delicious and Exquisite

Ashley and her team did an amazing job with our Wedding cake and dessert bar choices. Everything from the Guinness Cakes to the Cake Balls were phenomenal. The Gluten Free choices were a big hit as well as the basic apple crumble. Our Wedding cake was just for cutting and was the perfect addition to our overall color theme. Ashley listened to what we were looking for and executed it wonderfully. Not to mention everything tasted YUMMY.. I am definitely now a customer!

A great pick

Our venue (the Factoria) recommended the cakery for our wedding cake. They were so easy to work with, even when we had to postpone due to covid. We did a take home tasting to pick the flavors we wanted. We went with a marble cake with a caramel frosting. It was so good that after our bride/groom cake cutting we went in for another bite. They were able to work with the sizes I wanted for the wedding. I had picked a small two tier cake with a sheet cake for my guests. I had sent pictures of what I wanted, and it turned out perfectly. We had a great experience with them all around.

Delicious and Beautiful

Ashley and her team are great! They created a beautiful wedding cake for us and TONS of mini Cupcakes! Not only did they look good but they were delicious! We couldn't have been happier with how they turned out! Thank you for all your help with our order and executing it perfectly for our wedding day !

Wedding Cake and Dessert Table

Delicious desserts! My wedding caterer only did savory and I was in desperate need of a bakery that could do both a cake and a dessert table. I felt like everywhere I turned I was limited with my choices... but not at The Cakery!

Ashley worked with me to create a custom menu for my dessert table and everything was delicious and beautiful. She was creative and helped me through the process at our tasting (which was so yum). I was relieved that I found Ashley!

We got married at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY on 9/29/18, and Ashley / The Cakery in Fishkill provided our wedding cake. We did a tasting far in advance and this gave us the option to try many different flavor combinations. We ended up going with a pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing and salted caramel filling. It was absolutely delicious and our guests have not stopped talking about it! (Luckily we had leftovers and have been eating them every night since)

We asked that our cake look like a birch tree from the outside, so they used fondant to resemble the bark and it came out beautiful. We also rented a wooden barrel which the cake was displayed on at our reception. Everything was very reasonably priced, and Ashley was timely with all communication and delivery on the day of. Highly recommend!!

I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Our wedding cake was BEAUTIFUL and it tasted even better! The team was incredibly helpful in pulling multiple ideas into one final vision. We even went back a month later to have her make them make our wedding cake flavors into cupcakes for another party!

We were beyond satisfied and we are still getting compliments on how wonderful the cake was. Thank you so much!

What a fun place! I love the colorful designs and delicious cakes and goodies that The Cakery makes. When we did our tasting with Ashley, we were so excited to be able to design our wedding cake from top to bottom. She was so flexible, too. We had a few changes with our design of the cake, but it all went off without a hitch! The Cakery is SO reasonably priced; we chose a dessert bar to be part of our wedding favors because we wanted everyone to take home a little bit of joy from this wonderful bakery. Everything is delicious, and they’re not afraid to try new things to meet the needs of their clients. A vendor with your love and your dreams in mind is the best kind of vendor for any occasion, and The Cakery meets those expectations and beyond.

On-A-Stick made the cake for my July 2017 wedding. It was absolutely delicious and beautiful! It wasn't overly sweet or frosted--it was made from high quality ingredients at a very reasonable price. We received many compliments on our delicious cake! Ashley was so friendly and easy to communicate with. I put in an order for a mini drip cake for my father in law's birthday at the wedding and she was able to accommodate me at the last minute. Highly recommend this bakery!

My husband and I got married on May 20, 2017 and was referred to Ashley and The Cakery by our wonderful caterer. Ashley was so sweet, informative, helpful in deciding the look of our cake and we had a lot of fun at our cake tasting trying out different combinations of tasty confections! We chose to have a three tiered white cake with fresh strawberry filling and sweet vanilla buttercream frosting - yum! Our wedding cake looked so pretty with fresh flowers and cake topper! My MIL kept saying how moist the cake was and that she kept stealing forkfuls of the buttercream from my FIL! Thank you, Ashley and The Cakery at On-A-Stick Bakery!
