When I was a little girl, I drew pictures of wedding cakes, not wedding dresses... I had a hard time figuring out a lot of things to do with my wedding, but I knew I wanted a big, gorgeous custom cake that was also utterly delectable. Then I discovered how much that could cost and realized that might not be an option in my budget.

When I went to meet with Melissa for the cake tasting, I had scaled down the beautiful cake in my head to something more moderate, but couldn't help but show her some of the inspirations I had. Imagine my surprise when she sketched out a gorgeous cake that was absolutely perfect, whimsical, elegant and... within budget.

Melissa has a real passion for what she does, and I loved working with her so much, I also had her make a grooms cake that was a perfect replica of my husband's tractor to surprise him with at our rehearsal dinner. Every little touch was perfect; if you can tell her what your cake dream is, she can make it come true. :-)

We had several flavors in our cake and each of them was amazing... our guests couldn't agree on which was their favorite, but they were all fluffy, delicate and utterly delicious. I can't recommend The Cake Place highly enough!

The Cake Place was truly amazing!!! They worked with us from start to finish to ensure we had everything we wanted. The cakes are delicious and beautiful! Our guests could not stop complimenting them. Melissa does a fantastic job and is so accommodating. HIGHLY recommend!!!!

The ladies at The Cake Place did an awesome job delivering exactly what we asked for! Their prices were very reasonable and the cakes were SO GOOD! We went with 2 different flavors:
-chocolate cake/raspberry jam filling/raspberry buttercream topping
-banana cake/chocolate filling/chocolate ganache topping

Both cakes were moist and they were both so different and delicious! I would absolutely recommend for any event!

We were on the hunt for fall flavors and Melissa wowed us with her selections. She welcomed us for a complimentary tasting with our top 3 flavor choices and took one look at our inspiration photos and sketched up a design, which she followed to a “T” on the big day. She held a final details call with us a week before the wedding to finalize all the details one last time. Melissa even provided a wood slab for the display of the cake and topped it all off with some edible glitter to match my dress. Melissa was spot on with all the details and our guests are still raving about the flavors (maple walnut and apple spice) and texture of the cake (no freezing here!).

The Cake Place made my "naked donut ganache" cake dream become a reality! It was so beautiful, you ALMOST didn't want to eat it- but then when you did eat it... oh man. THE BEST! It was so delicious, and we had 3 sheet cakes of a variety of flavors and so many people complimented the "fun" flavors we had. Those flavors were all thanks to the variety of options The Cake Place offers. Super thankful for them and for my friend who passed on their name to me!

These ladies did an amazing job with my cake and sweets table. All my husband and I did was provide our vision, and they made it come true. They provided three different cake flavors for us to taste at our initial meeting. I shared a photo of what we were hoping for our cake, and they came through. And our sweets table....consisting of two donut trees, a cannoli tree, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies....were wiped out before my husband and I got a chance to taste the treats. You will not go wrong with these ladies...they are amazing!!!

Our wedding cake was breathtaking and delicious! It was the first thing I noticed when arriving at my reception. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Staff is super friendly, responsive, and accommodating. All of our cakes now come from Cake Place.

Where to begin? The Cake Place SAVED the cake part of our wedding. Both my (now) husband and I love sweets and the cake had to be stunning to look at AND tasty. I was so excited about cake tastings and was so disappointed by every one we went too until we found The Cake Place! Their cake tasted amazing and they are artists!! We had a 5 tier art deco styled cake that was almond, vanilla, chocolate, and carrot. All fillings, frostings and cakes were outstanding. A significant portion of my mom's family is gluten free due to an auto-immune disease, so we ordered a GF groom's cake. It was made to look like our dog lying on a pillow with her favorite plush toy and it was perfect! I could not have been any happier with The Cake Place! They delivered our cake to The Strathallan in downtown Rochester and picked up the cake stand themselves. I didn't have to worry about anything

The Cake Place also made a GF cake for my bridal shower, it came out amazing and no one knew it was gluten free!

These ladies are amazing! Cake was beautiful and tasted great too! We got so many compliments on our cake!

The cake was made to look like a castle and it was the most beautiful work of art I have seen. The cake itself was excellent very moist and flavorful. I would highly recommend The Cake Place and actually did right after the wedding to a friend who was getting married.
