The Boathouse KC invites couples to host their ceremony by the glittering lake on their impressive 60-acre site. Here you can exchange vows before a seated audience of loved ones, with enchanting woodland for a backdrop. After you tie the knot, you can explore the grounds with your photographer while your guests enjoy cocktails at the outdoor bar with its rustic, open fire pit. Later, you can reunite with up to 150 loved ones for your reception, dining banquet style on long rectangular tables. To accompany your meal, you can enjoy drinks from the boat-shaped bar, which matches the corrugated iron roof and exposed wood interiors. You can also take a moment to appreciate the vibrant ocean mural, which occupies an entire wall, making it the ideal photo backdrop.

Sarah lives in Overland Park, Kansas with her Husban Sean and their two kiddos Daphne & Otis.
Sarah has been in the wedding industy for a little over 15 years. She has mostly been on the bridal gown side of weddings. With lots of trust and assistance from her husban Sean, they opened Urban Bridal Shop a little over 7 years ago.
With her love for weddings and an amazing space that Sean has created on his business property, The Boat House KC was created!
Sarah currently assists couples that are inquiring about The Boat House, answering questions, showing the space and will always help make suggestions on how to make our beautiful venue feel like your own personal Family Boat House!

Sean lives in Overland Park, KS with his wife Sarah and two kiddos Daphne & Otis! Sean Owns and runs KC Watersports. He has been within the wedding industy supporting Sarah at Urban Bridal Shop since they opened it a little over 7 years ago! He has handled all the marketing for the bridal shop as always helps with solving issues to make things run as smooth as possible to insure our guests have a wonderful experience!
The Boat House was a vision Sean had and created from the ground up! He wanted this space to feel like each couples personal Boat House! His love of the outdoors and water have played into the overall estitic. From the barn wood that he personally tore down from Sarah's Grandpa Wynn's farm, the greenery inside, garage doors, stunning lake views the amazaing outdoor patio with planters and enough seating to enjoy the outdoor space as much as the indoor space. His eye for design and his handy craftmanship he has created this awesome space that is a photographers dream.
You will find Sean all around the business! He is a hands on owner and it still amazes us, but there doesn't seem to be much too large or small for him to takle. If you have a vision, ask!
