When it comes to planning a wedding, a beautiful venue is one thing—but the people who run that venue are just as important, because they become part of your special day. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

We live on the East Coast but got married in Nebraska, and as a fashion designer, I’m very particular about what I envision. The Acreage ended my venue search instantly. The moment I saw a few photos—right after they had just finished building it—I was sold.

Lydia is sweet as pie and incredibly accommodating, especially with our long-distance communication and scheduling. Josh is absolutely professional, attentive, and kind. This young couple is exactly who you want by your side on your wedding day.

We loved everything about the venue. The bridal and groom suites were warm, elegant, and spacious. Most of our guests flew in from different states and countries, and every single one of them had nothing but compliments. You can truly feel the care, love, and pride that went into building The Acreage—it shines through in every corner.

We got married end of Sep at the Acreage and the wild flowers were just unreal, they added a perfect touch to our fall theme wedding naturally. Our day was nothing less than amazing!

Out of all the things I might regret in this lifetime, choosing The Acreage as our venue is absolutely not one of them. Having both our ceremony and reception there, with Josh and Lydia’s help, was one of the best decisions we ever made.

The overall pricing of listed on the Wedding Wire is not the same price you get when talking to the owners. It is much higher. Even if you choose to do a lower package they still force you to do a bare minimum to make money on their end. The place is beautiful and I believe the owners mean well. However they are not generally the nicest you will ever meet. After having my wedding here the past month I noticed you pay top dollar for really renting the place for a day while still needing to get vendors outside of this. You need to do everything and while it is a business the amount of care they shown is minimal. You will not be treated the same as all of their other clients and you'll just have to live with that. Overall the place is great just be prepared for the extra that coments with it.
