Becky and Debbie were amazing from start to finish! they helped me think through what I needed in advance, they were there from set up to clean up--they were efficient, super friendly and creative--and they did evetything possible to make my Son's Bar Mitzvah perfect. I cannot thank them enough!

This is a very professional catering outfit. Everything was superb and the food was fantastic. Debbie and her staff will take care of everything so you can enjoy your event. She comes highly recommended. Not only was the main good menu excellent but her cake is to die for. It was so good , I asked her to make me another for a different occasion.

Deb and her staff were absolutely amazing!! As commissioning planning starts months in advance Dab kindly guided us through the whole process from menus rentals and to timing and staffing. Deb has done this many times and every detail was carefully orchestrated. The food was delicious, plenty for our guests. Deb arranged desserts and bar tending —both adding to our special graduation event. I cannot speak more highly of this wonderful group!!

Deb and her staff were wonderful to work with and did a fantastic job coordinating our event. Our family was traveling from Illinois and Deb did all my pre-party planning. The food was fantastic and the service/servers in the house was professional and friendly. We were able to socialize and enjoy our own party!

Deb went above and beyond. She took multiple worries out of my hands by dealing with tasks and details that wasn’t part of her job description. People loves the food and said everything looked so lovely! Definitely recommend!

They were recommended to us by the realtor whom we rented the house from. There were 19 of us with different dietary needs. Having a catered dinner was so much better than all of us going out to a restaurant. Deb and her staff were amazing. They were very flexible, helped with the coming up with the menu, had good ideas etc. They were also so fun to be around. The food was amazing! We ended up getting appetizers, three main dishes, sides and dessert. They set up, prepared and cleaned up like they were never there. It was an amazing start of a beautiful family weekend together in Annapolis. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a catered meal/event! They were absolutely fabulous!

My wife and are from Utah and started working with Debra Kupfer in 2016 to begin planning our son’s 2018 USNA graduation dinner. Of course, having no idea what to expect, we relied heavily on Debra’s input regarding planning a dinner for approximately twenty family and friends on the Thursday evening before Friday’s graduation. Debra’s communication through e-mail was excellent and during one our trips to Annapolis we were able to meet and found her to be very personable, flexible, and detail orientated. Debra and her team performed flawlessly on the day of the dinner. The food was terrific and everyone had a great time! Debra and her team took care of everything from set up to clean up and all we had to do was relax. We also requested a post-graduation meal to be dropped off at the house we were renting. That meal too was fantastic and it was so nice not worry about finding a restaurant or cooking after the long morning and just sit back and relax with our family! In short, I highly recommend and cannot say enough good things about Debra and “Takes the Cake Catering and Event Planning”. Not only did Debra come through as promised with our meals, she also proved to be a great resource in general. I will close this review with one example of Debra’s character. My wife and I came to Annapolis to visit our son near the date of our Anniversary. Debra recommended Harry Browne’s and the meal was excellent. As we were finishing our dinner, the waiter brought out a beautiful small cake, which by the way was delicious. Debra made the cake herself as a gift for us!

I would highly, and without reservation, recommend Takes the Cake for anyone looking to hire a professional and caring caterer for a really important event! From our very first meeting, I knew we were in excellent hands. Debbie asked lots of questions and listened to our vision for my son's commissioning party; she responded promptly and courteously to my various questions and as a result, the event was even better than we could have imagined. All of our guests commented how fresh and flavorful the food was and how lovely everything looked. Debbie's staff is a top-notch crew too, serving graciously and cleaning behind the scenes and watching for every little opportunity to make guests comfortable and happy. I am not one to write reviews, but I am so excited about Takes the Cake that I wanted to share my comments here; and I've already passed Debbie's name to my friends. If you want an event planned with the care and attention to detail that you'd apply yourself, if you had the time and talent, you've found the right person to do it!
