Cakes and pastries created by Sweets & Savories taste as wonderful as they look. I specialize in a distinctive blending of European style desserts with American inspiration- styling that ranges from simple to elaborate; flavors and textures- from delicate to decadent. Each product is freshly made and will bring artistry and elegance to your wedding day and special events. It takes quality ingredients to make a quality product. These desserts are made with sweet butter, pure cream, premium nuts and liqueurs, Cacao Barry and Callebaut Chocolates, Tahitian vanilla beans and seasonal fruits. Fruit preserves & glazes, citrus curds, custards, mousses, truffle fillings and buttercreams, as well as confections such as praline, nougat, caramel and candied edible flowers are made to order. These desserts may cost a bit more but the commitment to quality craftsmanship and fresh ingredients is what set these desserts apart from the rest, and will ensure you the finest, most memorable desserts possible.
Your cake can range from the unique to the traditional in it's style, flavor and decoration. Whatever the style of your wedding & reception, I can assist you in custom designing your cake. The following menu includes a palette of flavors- the choices as listed are designed to complement each other, but there are other possibilities. Your cake can be finished with fresh flowers, piped designs, or something more. Consider my years of experience and accomplished skills* in creating a personalized and appropriate centerpiece for your wedding and other special events .It is important that your cake reflect you and your wedding style. I limit the number of orders that I take- I recommend an initial consult two to four months prior, but I'm occasionally able to accommodate orders on shorter notice.

As a Pastry Chef I have learned and held the belief that I am committed to freshness and flavor- training and skill, as well as the refusal to use margarine, preservatives, premade components, mixes or artificial flavorings will show through in the foods I produce. I have confidence you will taste the difference.
ABOUT YOUR CAKE Many wedding cakes are finished with a silky ivory buttercream. This is the basis for many designs- satin smooth with delicate swags, dotted swiss, pearls & lace, garden rosebud vinery, also embellished designs such as basketweave or a "painted' floral design. Some cake designs lend themselves to special finishes- rolled fondant, marzipan, white chocolate plastique or fondant or dark chocolate plastique or ganache. To accent your design you may choose to add fresh seasonal or edible flowers; hand rolled marzipan or gumpaste flowers; dark or white chocolate curls or leaves; maybe fresh berries Some designs are included while some are priced according to materials, time and skill required.

Stunning and Delicious
Eileen was wonderfully accommodating. To keep overhead down, she conducts tastings in a small coffee shop in Poulsbo. We met with her and discussed our needs. She was quite knowledgeable and was able to counsel us in what shapes and types of cakes we might want. She brought samples that were delicious and pictures of previous cakes she had done. We loved her carrot cake but wanted some chocolate as well. It was a 2 layer cake and square which is different than traditional. After some discussion, we decided to have a layer of chocolate and of carrot. With the cream cheese frosting over the whole cake, we needed a super rich chocolate and chocolate ganache. Just by our initial meeting and emails back and forth, we received the most beautiful, delicious creation, on time and set up without any difficulties. Would use this bakery again.Sent on 07/24/2019

I worked with Eileen from Sweets and Savories to come up with an absolutely DELICIOUS and beautiful wedding cake. She helped us pick the best combinations for the layers of the cake and we ended up choosing the lemon pound cake with fresh lemon curd and a chocolate cake with espresso butter cream. It was a huge hit and honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had in my life. We had a lot of leftovers and, with all of the company from out of town, we ate almost all of it.Sent on 09/21/2012

Eileen was so very helpful in narrowing down the type of design style we wanted for the cake (t complement the rest of the wedding). As so many people already noted, the cake not only looked perfect but it was delicious. Many of our guests complimented the flavor choices for the cake, and we were thrilled how it looked once she delivered it. Eileen was incredible to work with and very flexible - she even found a vegan cupcake that way one of our guests (who has a dairy allergy) could enjoy dessert, too.Sent on 06/13/2017
I have attended a bridal shower and a wedding where this vendor had supplied treats and a beautifully designed cake. The asthetic of the cake was very breathtaking. The desserts were very palate pleasing.
