Sweet Retreat: Lodge and Event Venue is a wedding venue located in Hico, West Virginia, in the New River Gorge. The venue was crafted from indigenous timber from the surrounding property. Using the word "rustic" to describe this creation does not do it justice. This woodsy field has hosted weddings in many styles and themes, from posh to enchanted and boho to forest chic. Any whimsical idea that can be envisioned will come to life in this natural setting.

The Property

This beautiful property features large living spaces both inside and out. Hold your ceremony in the romantic outdoor venue under the canopy of nature, then slip out back for a lively reception under the stars.

The Lodge

Nestled in the forest, this lodge offers a delightful blend of convenience and privacy. Rehearsal dinners, pre-nuptial celebrations, and receptions are a breeze. Numerous large windows, skylights, and glass French doors fill the rooms with light and views of nature. The large living room features a magnificent stone fireplace, perfect for guests to gather together. There are 4 bedrooms, 12 beds, and 2.5 bathrooms, making it an ideal retreat for the entire wedding party. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen is a dream for any caterer or family.
