We knew we did not want a traditional multi tiered wedding cake so we went with a cake buffet. Living in East Nashville we frequented Sweet 16th for breakfast (mmmm that sandwich) so we decided to do a tasting with them. So glad we did. Their cakes were beautiful and more importantly they were DELICIOUS! My husband says that their carrot cake is the closest anyone has ever gotten to the taste of his grandmothers.

Ellen and Dan Einstein of Sweet 16th, a bakery, made our day! We ordered cupcakes for our guests and the Velvet Elvis cake for us to cut and share. They had designed similar cupcakes to what the Velvet Elvis cake is. A layer of red velvet, a layer of chocolate, a layer of red velvet, all held together with peanut butter cream and covered completely in cream cheese frosting. The cake was beautiful!! And amazingly moist and delicious! The cupcakes were unique and lovely and delicious as well. We had so many guests asking where we got our delicious treats and everyone loved the Velvet Elvis (the name too!) Sweet 16th is a local bakery in East Nashville, they have amazing and delicious foods there all of the time. They made our day very easy. We were even treated to a cake tasting, which was fabulous!! Ellen and Dan are lovely people and we highly recommend them to anyone putting together a party, not just a wedding!!

People RAVED about our cakes, especially the Velvet Elvis (2 layers red velvet, 1 layer chocolate with peanut butter filling and cream cheese frosting. Sounds gross, but it totally isn't!). We had 4 cakes and the only thing left was crumbs. Literally.

Dan and Ellen, the owners of Sweet 16th are a pleasure to work with. They were flexible and wonderful and professional. I cannot recommended them enough. Even for birthday cakes or whatever baking needs you have. AMAZING!

Did cupcakes instead of a big wedding cake, and 3 months later guests are still raving about them. This is a great, local business, the owners Dan and Ellen are FABULOUS and the cake is amazing. I've actually been to their bakery since it opened 5 or so years ago, and since I was engaged I didn't think about anyone BUT them doing my cake. They are that good!
