Initially Built in 2000, the Suncrest Reception Center is an iconic wedding venue for ceremonies and receptions in Draper, Utah. This architectural gem has been at the heart of the community since its inception as a sales center atop Corner Canyon, 1500 feet above the Salt Lake Valley floor. Owner Adam Koch began opening the venue to couples and nearlyweds in 2017 and the joy it brings to so many people means it will remain in its current guise.

Facilities and Capacity

The Suncrest Reception Center's aesthetic offers a magical setting for a truly exceptional wedding celebration, featuring stunning views of mountain peaks and city lights. The fully customizable interior is dynamic and can adapt to an intimate or lavish affair. For seated dinner-style gatherings, the venue can accommodate up to 100 guests. However, for an unseated, flowing, casual affair, the venue can welcome anywhere from 300 to 400 people at one time.

Without advertising the venue once, the Suncrest Reception Center has never been busier. Only by word of mouth have the stories been told, yet more and more clients are contacting Adam to book the venue for their special day. Great Experience, even in 103 degrees

We enjoyed working with Brynne to set up our reception in early August. We had many choices to choose from in the decor, and The suggestions that Kelly and Brynne gave us were spot on. The garden area is well-maintained, the yard is a perfect set up to do a ring ceremony. We used a caterer that was a recommendation from Brynne and her team, and they provided our guest with really good food. We were able to pack a lot of vendors and decorations into the upstairs space. I do recommend utilizing the outside so you don’t feel cramped; Brynne has ideas that will assist in spreading your party out so people don’t feel like they’re right on top of each other.

Flexibility is the value I’d love to highlight the most in this review. We had several people become ill due to the heat, and had to quickly move our reception and ring ceremony inside. Brynne sprung into action and our guest assisted her in reworking the reception area to accommodate 100+ people very quickly.

Gorgeous Venue, Wonderful People, and Fair Pricing!

Suncrest Reception Center is truly a gem found admist all of the Utah wedding venues! It has the perfect mix of classy indoors, with a hint of mountain lodge, combined with a beautiful outdoors that looks great during all 4 seasons! We were able to get a beautiful venue that was a fair price for both us and the hosting community! Plus, the venue is great for small, intimate parties all the way up to larger parties that include families with little children.

Additionally, the staff was awesome! Reserving the venue was streamlined and straightforward, with no hidden fees or requirements for catering. All the individuals I talked with were understanding, welcoming, and truly cared about us having a great experience at the end of the day!

Suncrest - Magical Venue Setting

Suncrest Reception Center is a beautiful venue with an amazing outdoor space and incredible views. My daughter and son in law had their reception there and magical is the only way I could describe it. It only needs minimal decor since the setting is so beautiful. We used the outdoor space for food, games, cake cutting and the first dancing. We then moved inside the had a huge dance party with their built in sound system.The owner was very nice and let us get the food to the venue fridge the night before, no other place would allow that. They set up all the tables and chairs and linens are included. Both Adam and Brynne were helpful in planning and with resolving small issues that were bound to come up. We really loved this place and how unique it was and got so many compliments from our guests. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone getting married or having an event.

Wonderful Experience!

From start to finish, Adam and Brynne were easy to work with and very responsive. They went above and beyond making sure our experience was as perfect as possible. The venue itself was gorgeous and required very minimal decorating. I can’t say enough good things about the Suncrest Reception Center and staff! I would definitely recommend.

Great Experience

This venue is so excellent to work with! They were responsive, and were quick to help with anything needed. The Owner and Team were very pleasant and accommodating. They also have a great rental selection. Would highly recommend working with them.

Perfect for any event!!

Beautiful venue for any event!! I planned my proposal here and loved it so much. It also has plenty of room inside and outside (in the spring, summer, and fall) so we planned our wedding reception here as well. It turned out soooooo well. I would highly recommend to anyone for any event!

Incredible Venue for your wedding events!

have attended multiple events, including a wedding dinner, at Suncrest Reception Center and wanted to share all the reasons it is an incredible venue! First, its nestled at the top of Traverse mountain, offering breathtaking views through the large picture windows. Also, the area directly surrounding the venue includes a large grassy area with a pond and trees that are lit during the winter months, making it feel like you are in the middle of a winter wonderland. Second, the contemporary but rustic style seems to work, regardless of the wedding colors and theme and gives off a warm, classy, sophisticated vibe. Finally, the space seems cozy, but still has all the amenities you need to hold an intimate and charming event. So if that is what you are looking for...this is your place!

Exceptional Venue and Service

The Suncrest Reception Center was the perfect space for our event. It is beautifully situated in the trees with indoor and outdoor capability and looks over the Salt Lake valley. The owners are easy to work with and cared about making our event everything we wanted it to be. The kitchen space available made refreshment preparation a breeze and the layout was perfect for our reception. We will definitely keep this space in mind for future group gatherings and weddings!
