Stephen was absolutely critical in helping me walk around the resort in my high-maintenance dress, all while helping me stay hydrated in 100-degree weather and entertaining my fiance’s (questionable) jokes. Melissa is the ultimate hype woman, making me and all my girls feel like Beyonce. She flawlessly anticipated everything from a bride's point of view without me ever having to say a word.

Our schedule went slightly awry and the two of them didn’t hesitate to accommodate, ensuring we felt like they had captured everything we wanted them to. Stephen & Melissa engage with you on a personal level, creating an atmosphere in which people feel like they’re part of your wedding and not hired for your wedding.

Now the photos!!! The quality of the photos is unreal. They know all the “hidden spots” of each major location in the Valley. They turned around their “favorites” of our wedding pictures within just a couple of days, allowing us to quickly share them with family and friends who weren’t there. They shot amazing pictures for our engagement shoot, making us feel comfortable and confident for our big day (and trust me, we’re really awkward!). We framed several of them and used them as decor on the wedding day. Between the photos and the experience, if you’re in the decision-making process for your wedding photographers, look no further. My husband and I got married in December of 2021 and hands down, choosing Stephen & Melissa as our photographers was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding. We loved them immediately upon meeting them via Zoom and were very excited to book them! We were so nervous for our engagement session but Stephen and Melissa immediately put us at ease. Then came prepping for the wedding. We received our photos so quickly, and oh my goodness, they are SO beautiful and bring us such JOY to look at! I look at them everyday - I'm obsessed with them all! We found Stephen + Melissa through a simple google search. I needed a photographer in Scottsdale for our destination wedding and stumbled across a blog post written by the duo https://stephenandmelissa.co/2020/01/01/wedding-photographer-in-phoenix-stephen-and-melissa-photography-finding-the-right/. We liked their style, their overall branding and were intrigued by a married couple that worked as a team. We needed a photographer that could capture our wedding in entirety, which included several days of events and a golf tournament. At our initial meeting we connected with them instantly, we booked them for 3 days of photography to fully capture our destination wedding weekend. We chose them because they seemed to really understand our vision for the event, were possibly more excited than we were, and felt like life-long friends we just hadn’t met yet. Prior to the weekend, we met with Stephen + Melissa for an engagement session photo shoot. Stephen + Melissa immediately made us feel comfortable and relaxed in an environment that can often be a bit awkward. We were able to laugh and let loose, leading to the best professional photos of my husband and I that we had had to date. Their communication made us feel heard every step of the way. A preview of the photos was sent to us within a week of the shoot and the rest of the photos were sent to us a few days prior to the expected delivery date.
When it came to the wedding weekend, Stephen + Melissa were on time and prepared to every event. I can’t stress enough the comfortability that Stephen + Melissa provided throughout the weekend. They were never in our way, yet they were present enough to capture photos of us with every guest and group of guests that we had requested. They were never annoyed with us for requesting additional photos, and they went above and beyond to set up a tri-pod to hold my husband’s cousin’s iPhone so that his 93 year-old grandmother could attend the wedding via FaceTime. We received a preview of our wedding photos just a few days after the wedding, and being able to look through moments from all of the events that we held while drinking champagne on our honeymoon was absolutely priceless. We look forward to seeing Stephen + Melissa again in the future, whether that be for another photo shoot or just to grab a drink as friends. We have zero complaints about working with them and would 10/10 recommend them to anyone we knew.

My husband and I got married on May 29, meaning that Stephen and Melissa braved the heat for US. And let me tell you, they were truly amazing! We instantly clicked with them at our initial meeting- they felt like lifelong friends. We were both super nervous for the engagement session, but they had poses ready and made jokes throughout the session to make us feel natural and comfortable in front of the camera. When the time came for the wedding, they helped us find the perfect location for our pictures. We had so many friends and family tell us after the wedding that they were blown away with our pictures and the amazing souls behind the camera. From start to finish Stephen & Melissa were friendly, personable, and super professional. We felt like they became our friends right away, making us feel so comfortable for both our engagement session and wedding session. We were laughing the entire time and our wedding guests loved having them around. They made thoughtful recommendations on shooting locations and even came out to see our wedding venue in advance to scout it out! To top that, you get two cameras capturing different angles, so we were able to have Melissa join the bride getting ready and Stephen join the groom. It was perfect.
