Born and raised in Seattle, Sophie Baird-Daniel performs regularly around the Pacific Northwest as a substitute with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She has also played with the Houston Symphony, Orquestra Filarmonica de Jalisco, the San Francisco Ballet, the Charlotte Symphony, and the National Ballet of Canada. Sophie is the founder and artistic director of the Archipelago Collective, a summer chamber music festival on San Juan Island, Washington. She has received numerous international awards and accolades for her music.
