Our cake was gorgeous! It fit perfectly with our theme. Our guests were very impressed. It tasted wonderful too! Ms. Julana is definitely an artist!

Our wedding cakes were fabulous! I have always stopped by Something Special for cookies or pastries, but this was the first cake I ordered. We sat down with our consultant and went through a portfolio of different cakes. When I did not see exactly what I was looking for, they started drawing a picture of what I wanted. The cake came out perfectly. It matched my dress down to the perfect shade of red. The groom's cake was a work of art. Julana replicated the top of my husband's Aggie ring perfectly. The cakes were delivered right on time to the Beaumont Country Club. It was great not to have to find someone to go pick them up. Overall, this was the easiest part of planning my wedding.

They only do bridal appointments on Mondays besides that they were wounderful. They showed up on time set the cakes up. They got the grooms cake to look as close to the batmobile as copyright will allow. They were real upfront with the fact they could and could not do. The cake tasted wonderful and the extra cake stayed good for over a month in the refigerator.

They designed my cakes beautifully, but did not follow the directions for the Grooms cake. His cake was to have fresh raspberries and blackberries cascading down the layers. It was agreed that I would even bring them fresh berries to the bakery the day before my wedding. You know how busy a day that is..but I arrived with 6 pints of fresh berries for them to use. The first thing I saw upon arriving to my reception was the Groom's cake Unadorned with all the berries that I purchased. They have to this day, never really appologized to me for their error,nor have they compensated me for this,even after I confronted them and told them that I felt I should be reimbursed for failure to desiign the cake I purchased!

Ordered cupcakes for daughters wedding. After seeing all the good reviews and beautiful cakes in the store we were very disappointed in the cupcakes. They looked as is decorated by children. They only had an initial on the top but there was no consistency on how each letter looked. Really believe they had several different persons doing the icing.
Their batter is also very heavy and not light and fluffy. We were also quoted one price initially and then next time in to place order the price was increased.

It is what it is but just expected so much more again after reading such great reviews.
